When Does The Beak and Barrel Open?
The Beak and Barrel opens its hatch on Aug. 29, 2025! It now appears on the dining reservation system via the My Disney Experience App or the Disney World website. However, reservations vanished quicker than a ship marked by the Kraken! Though reservations may be booked through late October, we still recommend checking every so often in case you can snag a last-minute cancellation. You can read through our Guide to Disney World's Advance Dining Reservation System to help you score a reservation up to 60 days in advance.
And yes, just like at Oga's Cantina over in Hollywood Studios, guests have 45 minutes to enjoy their grog and grub, with a two-drink maximum for adults.
Where Is The Beak and Barrel Located?
Land ho! Adventureland, that is. You'll find The Beak and Barrel nestled beside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. If you're familiar with Magic Kingdom, the new watering hole now shares a space with the ride's gift shop.
The Beak and Barrel is Magic Kingdom's first dedicated lounge/bar. It is sure to add some serious energy and fun into the kingdom!
What Is The Beak and Barrel Themed After?
From the moment you cross the tavern threshold, you’ll feel like you've wandered into the pages of a pirate legend. The Beak & Barrel was established by the infamous rumrunner Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn and her feathered first mate, Rummy. You’ll find Rummy the parrot perched high above the bar, keeping a watchful eye on the crew, tossing out toasts and tall tales, and maybe even squawking a familiar tune or two. Fans of Disney World history might notice Rummy looks suspiciously like the original Barker Bird from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride who mysteriously vanished years ago …

The heart of the tavern is a long, candlelit hall called The Mess, which once fed Spanish soldiers and now plays host to rowdy pirates from all across the Seven Seas. This main room features communal tables made for swapping sea stories, a massive melted wax-covered anchor dangling from above and a bar that looks like it was salvaged straight from Davy Jones' locker. At the center of it all? A skull-shaped ship stern housing an impressive collection of grogs and brews. Plus one very magical artifact: the Enchanted Rum Bottle, a glowing gift from Tia Dalma said to fuel the tavern’s mystical mixology.
For those craving a quieter corner (or a more refined ruckus), venture into the Captains’ Quarters, the former living space of a Spanish Comandante. Here, you’ll find shredded paintings, scorched drapes and clawed-up walls. Evidence of pirate brawls past! Above the fireplace sits a display of five bottled ships, each representing pirate crews from across the globe. Keep your eye on 'em. Rumor has it they come to life when no one’s looking and battle for control of the seas.
Tucked away, you'll find the Mapmaker's Room, filled with rolled-up maps, parchment, spilled ink and treasured secrets. On the wall, a map of the known pirating world hangs with hidden details. The crazed cartographer once barricaded himself in this room, and the pirates had to shoot a cannon to break down the door! The cannonball is still lodged in the wall ...
Every corner of The Beak & Barrel tells a tale, and the more you look, the more pirate lore you’ll uncover. From the cursed shipwreck bar to hidden nods to classic Disney attractions, this tavern is more than just a place to grab a drink. It’s a full-blown adventure waiting to be explored.

- Make an advance dining reservation. The spots have filled quickly for this brand-new tavern. Book up to 60 days in advance in the My Disney Experience app or on the Disney World website.
- Each party has only 45 minutes inside. Plan to arrive on time (if not early!) to soak up as much fun as possible!
- To keep the ship steady, only two alcoholic drinks are allowed per adult guest. But you can still plan to enjoy other nonalcoholic drinks while inside!
