Chicago Cubs Tickets for the Win!

by Tad on March 19, 2024 Chicago

As the 2024 baseball season heats up, fans are gearing up for the upcoming season for the Chicago Cubs. Chicago fans know you are either a Cubs or a White Sox fan. Cubs fans are known as the "North Siders." It's time for Cubs fans to put on the blue, white and red, and head to Wrigley Field to cheer on the home team at an exciting Chicago Cubs game. Here's how to hit a home run with Chicago Cubs tickets and seats.

Chicago Cubs Team Overview

Did you know the Cubs got their start as the Chicago White Stockings (pretty ironic, huh)? Founded in 1870, the team joined the National League as a charter member six years later.  The team was given the nickname, the Cubs (due to a young roster), and the name officially stuck in 1907. The team has won the World Series title three times: in 1907, 1908 and most recently in 2016, breaking the Curse of the Billy Goat. (Seriously, look it up.)

The Chicago Cubs games have taken place at the iconic Wrigley Field since 1916. "Wrigleyville" is located in the Lake View neighborhood on the north side of the city. Even if you've never been to a live game (we need to change this ASAP), perhaps you've seen images of Wrigley Field's ivy-covered outfield wall, the red marquee over the entrance and the hand-turned scoreboard, especially in the media following the "W" in 2016. Spectators can watch games from the rooftops around the stadium. The stadium is located in a residential neighborhood. So, you won't find large stadium parking lots. That means you need to plan your arrival in advance. Wrigley Field is also a place to see concerts. Def Leppard, Journey and Steve Miller Band play there on July 15, 2024.

Will you see the Cubs fly the "W" or the "L?" Historically, the stadium has flown the Cubs Win Flag after a win. And now it's become a tradition for fans to carry the flags with them to both home and away games, displaying the "W" after a win. A lot of "W" flags decorated the city in 2016!

The team's rivals include the Chicago White Sox, an American League team on the south side of the city. This hometown rivalry really heats Chicagoans up. The Cubs also have a long-standing rivalry with the St. Louis Cardinals and a more recent I-94 Series rivalry with the Milwaukee Brewers ever since they switched from the American to the National League.

Chicago Cubs Tickets

Do you want to join the hecklers and "Bleacher Bums" in the bleacher section for a unique experience? Or will you go for some of the best seats in terms of view (in the upper rows of the Field Box 100 level sections)? Some more affordable seats — but still with a great view — can be found in the Upper Box (infield) 308L-326R. You might think you want shade under the overhang, but it can get pretty hot under there.
