June is when summer begins to ramp up at Disneyland Resort. By mid-June, summer crowds will likely become much more noticeable throughout both parks. You'll want to hop in place early for parades and fireworks. This is a good time to consider seeing the second show or parade (if offered), which is usually less crowded, or to consider dining packages, especially for Fantasmic! People usually get in place two hours early for the first Paint the Night parade.
A few different promotions contribute to an increase in attendance this year:

- The end of the 70th is drawing near (the last day is Aug. 9, 2026)
- A newer Magic Key pass option has summer Sunday and weekday availability, which could continue bringing more local guests into the parks Sunday through Thursday. ICYMI, people who renew their Magic Key pass get a free dining gift card as of May 27, 2026!
- New ride updates and experiences
Lower crowd days include:
- Fridays and Saturdays
- June 16 and June 18 (Disneyland Park closes at 8 p.m. for Pride Nite on those evenings)

The hotel pools are the place to be during summer afternoons. We toadally recommend taking a pool break midday to cool off and refresh before going back to the parks for nighttime entertainment. All three hotels have waterslides, and so do some of the nearby hotels. Many off-site hotels are within walking distance of the parks.
Weather at Disneyland in June
June is usually a really comfortable time to visit Disneyland. But there's one thing you'll definitely want to prepare for: June Gloom. Similar to May Gray, mornings can start off cool, cloudy and even a little foggy before the sun eventually comes out later in the day. Afternoons can still become pretty warm (or even hot) once the clouds clear. So your best bet is to dress in layers that you can easily remove as temperatures rise. In terms of summer heat, June is the most comfortable month.
