Overview of the Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers is a professional basketball team playing in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. The Cavs play their home games at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (formerly named Quicken Loans Arena) in Cleveland, OH. Founded in 1970, the Cavaliers had limited success in their play history before selecting No. 1 draft pick LeBron James in 2003. Considered one of the greatest players in NBA history, James helped lead the team to its first NBA finals appearance in 2007, and then its first NBA championship win in 2016.
The Cavs had a highly successful 2022-23 regular season, finishing 51-31 and fourth in the Eastern Conference before losing in the first round of the playoffs. They hope to build off the solid year and perform at a higher level in the post-season. J.B. Bickerstaff returns as head coach and looks towards players such as Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and newly returned Tristan Thompson to make it far this season.
