Dia de los Muertos at Disneyland Park

In Frontierland, El Zócalo Park brings a colorful tribute to the traditions of Día de los Muertos to Disneyland. You'll find marigolds, papel picados and beautifully crafted calacas, or skeleton figures (known as catrinas and calacas) and marigolds, surrounding traditional ofrendas.

Grab a meal at Rancho del Zócalo Restaurante and enjoy hearty Mexican favorites such as tacos, burritos and enchiladas while soaking in the festive atmosphere.
As part of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration in 2025, a beautiful "Coco" scene was been added to "it's a small world." Look out for Miguel and his guitar, Dante is his alebrije form and the magical madrigal bridge.
Dia de los Muertos at Disney California Adventure
Disney California Adventure is rich with culture and celebration. Over in Paradise Gardens, Plaza de la Familia offers a fully immersive cultural celebration inspired by "Coco."

Learn about Día de los Muertos, enjoy mariachi music, sample Mexican dishes or catch a showing of brand-new entertainment.
Catch "The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!" which presents musical moments from the film "Coco," such as "Remember Me," "The World Es Mi Familia," the Mexican folk song "La Llorona" and more. The storytellers teach viewers that the power of familial bonds lives forever in their "proud corazón!"

And between shows, meet Miguel as a hand-animated dimensional figure and snap a photo next to the "Recuérdame" mural. Miguel makes an appearance with his guitar from late morning through evening, depending on the day. Showtimes are in the Disneyland app. This is sure to be a highlight of the Halloween season.
Share your own personal memories by leaving messages for loved ones at the Memory Wall by the Tree of Life. Other fun things to do include trying out the special colorful photo walls and Tree of Life photo locations.

Arts and Crafts: Create your own colorful mask of Dante or Pepita, the alebrijes from "Coco."
Guests can even catch a glimpse of a colorful ofrenda in Cars Land honoring the beloved Doc Hudson.

The celebration also brings limited-time flavors to Paradise Garden Grill. Highlights include the returning Chilaquiles Carnitas Torta with red chilaquiles, refried beans, avocado spread, queso fresco, pickled red onions and a fried egg served with chips.
