The Cheapest Days to Visit Disneyland in 2026 and 2027

Inside This Post

We frugal frogs are all about saving money on vacation and theme park days. There is a little secret that you might want to know when planning a Disneyland visit: Disneyland has tiered pricing. There are seven pricing tiers for 1-Day tickets that vary per day, and Disneyland has kept the very lowest Tier 0 price per day steady at $104 ($98 for a child) since 2019. This just might motivate you to take the day off work and pull the kids from school to save hundreds of dollars on your Disneyland trip. There are special promo tickets in the winter and spring for visitors who need to visit on a holiday, break or weekend. We even offer savings tips for people who have to visit during peak times! There is a hoppin' deal on Kids Tickets in summer 2026. Let's go over the cheapest days to visit Disneyland.

Things to Know About the Cheapest Days to Visit Disneyland

Cheapest Days to Visit Disneyland - Disneyland closing early sign

There are a few things to consider when buying tickets on the cheapest days to visit Disneyland:

  • Park hours may be shorter. Especially watch out for 8 p.m. park closures for separately ticketed Disneyland After Dark events in winter and spring, and 6 p.m. closures at Disney California Adventure for Oogie Boogie Bash on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights in the late summer through Halloween. In fall and leading up to Holiday Time, the parks may close an hour or two earlier than normal.
  • Entertainment may be more limited. That means projection shows instead of fireworks. Nighttime entertainment may be limited or on hiatus, as well.
  • Check the Disneyland entertainment schedule and park hours starting six weeks before you visit.
  • There may be ride refurbishments or park construction during the "off season."
  • These cheapest days to visit Disneyland may be crowded and sell out early. A lot of people take advantage of these hoppin' deals.
  • Sometimes the prices change on dates. We've seen it hoppen a few times!

On a positive note, here are the highlights of heading into Disneyland on the cheapest days:

  • Days that close early for special events may be especially uncrowded, as people avoid reserving the park that hosts the event that night.
  • Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass are less expensive than peak days.
  • Park hopping is less expensive on lower tier days than higher tier days. (But we tend to avoid park hopping when trying to stay on budget.)
  • If you are there for the rides, vibes and snacks, you'll toadally get your money's worth.
  • Many of the cheapest times to visit fall during some of the best Disneyland events each season, so you don't miss out on the fun.
  • You can experience much of the Disneyland 70th in early 2026.

California Resident Tickets (January to May)

  • 3-Day Park Hopper ticket for as little as $80 per person, per day, (total price of $241.50 through Undercover Tourist)
  • Can be used 3 separate days Jan. 1 through May 21, 2026.
  • You can add Lightning Lane Multi Pass (comes to $112 per day, or $336.50 total).
  • Undercover Tourist sells these ticket for less than Disney! Plus, every Undercover Tourist Disneyland ticket comes with FREE $20 Dining Dollars promo codes.
  • No blockout dates. You can visit weekend and holidays.
  • Tickets went on sale Dec. 3, 2025 (for even less but prices went up in January).
  • Tickets go off sale several weeks before expiration.
  • Tickets can increase in price. The best time to buy is when. they first go on sale.
  • You need to reserve each visit and show California state ID upon first entry. Residents cannot buy for out-of-state friends and family. Kids under 18 do not need to show ID.
  • Book theme park reservations early, as these tickets have a much more limited pool of availability. Especially book the last month of the promotion as early as possible. Everyone is trying to use up their remaining days, so reservations fill up fast in May! Hotel reservations can open up more availability.
  • You can experience all the Disneyland 70th entertainment as well as popular seasonal events such as Lunar New Year, Food and Wine Festival and Season of the Force! If you visit Jan. 1 to 7, 2026, you can even enjoy the end of Holiday Time.
