Inside This Post

If you’re getting ready to set sail on the Disney Magic, one of the first things you might be curious about is the food. The Disney Magic restaurants include a wide range of options, from the Rotational Dining rooms and quick bites on the pool deck to adult-only dining, bars and lounges and even room service. In this post, we’ll take you around the ship and share all the spots where you can eat, snack or grab a drink, so you’ll know what to expect and where to go during your cruise.

FAQs

  • What restaurants are on the Disney Magic? The Disney Magic features three Rotational Dining restaurants — Animator’s Palate, Lumiere’s and Rapunzel’s Royal Table. There's also casual dining at Cabanas buffet, Duck-In Diner, Daisy's De-Lites and Pinocchio’s Pizzeria. Adults can also enjoy Palo for either brunch or dinner.
  • What food is included in my cruise fare? Most dining is included, including Rotational Dining, Cabanas buffet, pool deck quick-service, soft drinks and unlimited soft-serve ice cream. Palo, specialty coffee, alcohol and smoothies cost extra. Book your cruise with Undercover Tourist to score exclusive Disney Cruise Line savings!
  • Can the Disney Magic restaurants accommodate food allergies or special diets? Yes. Disney Cruise Line is very accommodating with allergies and dietary requests. Guests should note restrictions before sailing using the Special Services Request form and speak with their serving team on the first night.
  • Do you repeat the Rotational Dining restaurants on longer sailings? Yes. On cruises four nights or longer, guests revisit dining rooms, but the menus and entertainment will be slightly different.

Disney Magic Restaurants — Rotational Dining

Like all Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Magic uses the Rotational Dining system. Guests rotate through three themed restaurants while their serving team rotates with them.

The Disney Magic’s Rotational Dining restaurants include:

  • Animator’s Palate
  • Lumiere’s
  • Rapunzel’s Royal Table

Animator's Palate

Animator’s Palate is one of Disney Cruise Line’s most beloved dining experiences. Located on Deck 4, this restaurant celebrates the magic of Disney animation, surrounding guests with sketches, artwork and design details.

During dinner, the room transforms from black-and-white to full color and ends with a surprise special guest. The atmosphere is energetic but still relaxed.

Menu highlights include:

  • Garlic and herb focaccia
  • Black truffle pasta purses
  • Grilled tuna steak
  • Ginger-Teriyaki dusted Angus beef tenderloin
  • Lemon Icebox Pie

Lumiere's

Lumiere’s on Deck 3 brings the elegance of Disney’s "Beauty and the Beast" to the Disney Magic. Soft lighting, gold accents and elegant décor create a refined atmosphere, with just the right amount of storybook romance for couples.

Disney Magic Restaurants - Lumiere's restaurant

The menu is French-inspired. Some favorites include:

  • Breaded and deep-fried brie
  • Crispy roasted duck breast
  • Chateaubriand-roasted filet steak
  • Wild mushroom-stuffed pasta in vegetable broth
  • Tahitian vanilla crème brulee

Lumiere’s is quieter than the other dining rooms since there isn't any special entertainment.

Rapunzel's Royal Table

Rapunzel’s Royal Table is one of the most interactive dining experiences on the Disney Magic. The restaurant is themed around a royal banquet celebrating Princess Rapunzel’s birthday and her return to Corona.

Disney Magic Restaurants - Flynn & Rapunzel

As you enter, you’ll see a royal proclamation inviting guests to the celebration. The hallway includes fun details such as the “wanted” poster for the Stabbington Brothers stamped “captured,” along with nods to the Snuggly Duckling.

Inside, you'll enjoy the glowing lanterns, rustic décor, live music and storytelling woven throughout dinner. Characters and musicians move through the restaurant and interact with guests as the meal progresses.

Here are some of the menu's highlights:

  • Snuggly Duckling platter – a charcuterie spread
  • Tangled pasta
  • Roasted prime rib of beef
  • Lobster salad
  • Gothel Black Forest tower cake

Disney Magic Dining — Buffet and Deck Eats

In addition to the Rotational Dining restaurants, there are several quick-service options onboard as well.

Cabanas

Disney Magic Restaurants - Cabanas Buffet

Each day, at least one of the main Rotational Dining rooms also serves breakfast and lunch. If you’re looking for a quieter, more relaxed meal, that’s a great option. You’ll get full table service, so there’s no getting up for drink refills or dessert — your server takes care of it all.

Up on Deck 9, Cabanas is the large buffet restaurant on the Disney Magic serving breakfast and lunch. The space is set up with multiple self-serve buffet stations, so you can move from counter to counter and choose exactly what you’re in the mood for. Floor-to-ceiling windows line the restaurant, giving you ocean views while you dine, and there’s also outdoor seating available.

Breakfast offerings include Mickey waffles, pastries, made-to-order eggs, fresh fruit and more. Lunch includes seafood, pasta, salads, sandwiches, carving stations, international dishes and dessert.

Cabanas is popular, especially during peak breakfast and lunch hours. If you want to avoid the crowds, plan to go early or wait until a little later in the service window.

Duck-In Diner

Duck-In Diner is a quick-service counter located up on the pool deck. It’s themed to Donald Duck and serves burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and fries. There’s no reservation required, and it’s included in your cruise fare.

Disney Magic Restaurants - Duck-In Diner treats

This is the easy grab-and-go option, especially when you’re already on the open deck enjoying the pools and the AquaDunk waterslide. You can take your food to a nearby table or back to your lounge chair to nosh on while watching the big outdoor Funnel Vision screen.

Daisy's De-Lites

Disney Magic Restaurants - Daisy's De-Lites

Daisy’s De-Lites is a smaller quick-service spot on the pool deck with lighter options. Here you’ll find fresh fruit, wraps, salads and other grab-and-go items. It’s a good alternative if you’re looking for something a little less heavy than burgers and fries. Like the other pool deck counters, it’s included in your cruise fare and easy to hop to while you’re already enjoying time on the upper decks.

Pinocchio’s Pizzeria

Next to Duck-In Diner, Pinocchio’s Pizzeria is another quick-service option. This counter serves pizza throughout the day, with a small selection of varieties available at any given time. Like the other pool deck eats, there’s no reservation required and it’s included in your cruise fare.

Disney Magic Restaurants — Pinocchio's Pizzeria

Pinocchio’s Pizzeria typically stays open later than the other casual food locations onboard, often until around 11:00 p.m.

Eye Scream Treats

Disney Magic Restaurants - Walt Disney Theatre

Eye Scream Treats is the self-serve soft-serve ice cream station located on the pool deck. It’s a favorite throughout the day, offering flavors such as chocolate and vanilla and a swirl. Lookout for surprise flavors such as blueberry! The machines are available most of the day and into the evening, and the ice cream is included in your cruise fare.

Frozone Treats

After grabbing a cone at Eye Scream Treats, Frozone Treats is just a short walk away for frozen drinks and smoothies. Unlike the soft-serve, smoothies and alcoholic beverages are not included in your cruise fare.

Preludes

Located just outside the Walt Disney Theatre, Preludes is where you can grab a quick snack or drink before a show. You’ll find cookies, candy, popcorn and cocktails available at the counter, or if you’re already inside, waitstaff service can bring treats and drinks right to your seat. Snacks and drinks here are an additional charge.

Disney Magic Restaurants — Room Service

Of course, not every magical cruise moment happens inside a restaurant. Room service on the Disney Magic operates 24 hours a day and is one of the most convenient dining perks onboard.

Most menu items are included (minus gratuities) and are an easy option for relaxed stateroom dining, low-stress breakfasts or late-night snacks.

Disney Magic Restaurants — tray full of breakfast items

The Room Service menu includes:

  • Coffee, tea, milk, juice, hot chocolate
  • Continental breakfast items
  • Cheese plate
  • Grilled cheese and soups
  • Burgers and fries
  • Chicken wings and chicken tenders
  • Salads
  • Pides and pasta
  • Cookies and desserts
  • Mickey ice cream bars (not found on the menu, but available upon request)
  • Canned soda, beer, wine and specialty coffee are also available but are an additional charge

Ordering breakfast the night before is a game-changer on port mornings when everyone is rushing to get ready. Just fill out your order form (usually found in the top drawer of the vanity) and place it on the doorknob outside your stateroom door before 3 a.m.

Adult-Exclusive Dining

While the Disney Magic offers plenty of family dining, adults looking for a quieter and more upscale experience will find one of Disney Cruise Line’s most beloved restaurants onboard.

Disney Magic Restaurants — Disney Magic Palo

Palo

Palo offers the Disney Magic’s signature adults-only dining experience. Located at the aft of the ship, this elegant Northern Italian restaurant pairs elevated cuisine with sweeping ocean views and a noticeably quieter atmosphere than the main dining rooms. The space itself feels warm and refined, with upscale décor and subtle nods to Venetian gondolas and classic Italian design elements. Reservations are required and both dinner and brunch carry an additional fee.

Dinner at Palo

For Dinner at Palo, guests can choose either the prix-fixe menu for a flat per-person charge or order à la carte from the full menu. The prix-fixe dinner is $55 per person, and the à la carte options are priced per dish.

Dinner menu highlights often include:

  • Seared sea scallops
  • Heirloom tomato and burrata mozzarella caprese
  • Handmade pasta selections
  • Pan-seared salmon
  • Palo’s classic tiramisu
  • Signature chocolate soufflé

Palo Brunch

Palo brunch is a longtime favorite among Disney cruisers and offers a more relaxed experience. Offered on sea days and select port days depending on the itinerary, brunch allows guests to order as much as they like from the menu. Brunch is priced at $55 per person.

Disney Magic Restaurants — Palo brunch chicken parm

Brunch menu items include:

  • Meat and seafood antipasti
  • Waffles and pancakes
  • Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast
  • Lasagna Bolognese
  • Wild mushroom ravioli
  • Vanilla berry panna cotta

Guests consistently rave about Palo’s handmade pastas, expertly prepared entrées and chocolate soufflé. Brunch, however, often steals the spotlight thanks to its leisurely pacing and wide variety of offerings. It also includes a complimentary mimosa or Prosecco and fresh pastries.

You'll want to book your Palo reservation as soon as your booking window opens. Palo is the most in-demand dining experiences on the Disney Magic and popular times fill quickly.

Bars & Lounges on the Disney Magic

After enjoying Palo, you'll want to continue the evening in the Disney Magic’s nearby bars and lounges. The Magic's layout makes evening entertainment easy to navigate.

Disney Magic Restaurants - Cove Cafe

Quiet Cove & Cove Café (Adults-Only)

Tucked away from the busier family areas, the Quiet Cove pool district is a peaceful adults-only escape.

Cove Café

Located within Quiet Cove, Cove Café serves specialty coffees, espresso drinks and cocktails in a lounge-style setting. While beverages here cost extra, the tranquil environment makes it one of the most relaxing spots onboard, ideal for slow mornings or a mid-afternoon recharge.

Signals

Disney Magic Restaurants - Three cocktails sit atop a bar

Signals sits near the family pool area — a convenient stop for tropical cocktails, beer and frozen drinks.

Soul Cat Lounge

Soul Cat Lounge is a jazz lounge located on Deck 4, midship. The space is inspired by a New York jazz club from the Disney-Pixar movie "Soul." The lounge serves craft cocktails, wine and beer, plus there's live music and dancing in the evenings.

Disney Magic Restaurants - Soul Cat Lounge

You can even treat yourself to a bite of Little Italy with an order of zeppoles, a classic deep-fried pastry decadently dusted in powdered sugar.

After Hours — The Disney Magic’s Adult District

As the sun sets, the Disney Magic’s After Hours entertainment district becomes the ship’s nightlife center. Located on Deck 3, this corridor-style area groups several lounges together. This layout is less sprawling than newer ships but easier to navigate. During the day, these venues host trivia, game shows or family-friendly activities. In the evening, this area is for adults only.

Disney Magic Restaurants - O'Gills Pub

  • O’Gills Pub — An Irish-style pub known for trivia, live music and a relaxed social vibe.
  • Keys — A piano bar offering live music and a quieter lounge experience.
  • Fathoms — A dance club and entertainment space.
