You know we frogs are so used to packing for the theme parks. My dear wife, Flora, more commonly known as Mommy Frog to all of you, doesn't even need a checklist anymore to get us packed for trips to Orlando and Southern California. Heck, we have one bag with all of the MagicBands we've collected from our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays always at the ready!
But what you frog friends might not know is that we actually make family trips to other places. Even us frogs, with our love of Disney and Universal, Horror Nights and Not-So-Scary encounters, princesses and ogres, LEGOS and dolphins, roller coasters and, yes, even drop towers, we've been hopping to new destinations a lot lately, taking all of the insights we've learned from years and years of researching complicated theme park vacations and applying them to other popular family destinations. Curiously, it seems that no matter where we go, planning a vacation with tadpoles always involves a lot of logistics. But through years of trial and error, we've gotten pretty good at making family vacations simpler. So it hasn't been that big of a leap for us to head from the theme parks to the ski resorts (well, not for Flora at least).
The Frogs Are Hopping into Family Ski Vacation Planning!
We're very excited to be able to share our expertise in your family ski vacation planning. It did require a little bit of engineering. To get us in the right frame of mind, I decided to freeze the frog pond (which, believe me, wasn't an easy task), so we could skate around and have an excuse to drink hot cocoa in between trips to the slopes. Oh, and we aren't all pro skiers. Well, Flora is. You see, she grew up taking family ski trips up in the mountains as a young tadpole. She is as proficient on the slopes as she is hopping around the pond. Me, I'm still a bit of a wobbly mess when you get me on skis. The only thing I've got going for me is that even at full height, I'm not too far from the ground. Strangely enough, even the greens just aren't quite as natural as you'd think they be for a frog like me.
So while Flora's off tackling new terrain, you'll find me taking lessons alongside Tad and Lily—who are itching to learn snowboarding—and occasionally trying out the bunny slopes. While I can hop into the right position, I'm still working on linking my turns. Don't worry, I'm putting all that time in ski school to good use, and I'll be sharing my own tips so your own tadpoles (and you ski never-evers and novices) know what to expect when you arrive at ski school or hit the bunny slopes (and I have HIT the bunny slopes).
