We’re sure you’ll agree how much fun it is to reminisce about past trips and recount experiences that have become very special family memories. So in honor of the holiday season, we want to share our favorite Frog Family Disney traditions. Maybe your family has some of the same ones…
Have burgers & fries at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café.
For some reason the burgers and fries just taste better at Cosmic Ray’s...and we always sit in the lower section for a serenade by Sonny Eclipse.
Take Tad & Lily’s picture with all the Characters at Epcot Character Spot.
It’s the Frog Family’s version of a height chart. I’m not sure how Mommy Frog’s going to handle it the first time Tad’s taller than Mickey.
Watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the back of Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland.
Completely surrounded by the fireworks, the look of amazement on Tad and Lily’s faces is priceless.
Sneak in a little people-watching from the upper level of the Walt Disney World Railroad Station.
We do this under the guise of getting great pictures, but it’s so much fun to grab a few chairs and watch everything happening down on Main Street, U.S.A. (Watch the video.)
Get caramel apples from Sweet Spells before getting in line for Fantasmic!.
OK, busted…I have never walked out of there with just the apples, but I guess that’s just another Frog Family tradition.
Ride Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at least four times in a row in the hour before Magic Kingdom closes.
I think I’m the only one whose score doesn’t improve. By Round 4, Tad and Lily are in full “Let’s tease Dad” mode.
Countdown with Mickey as he officially opens Magic Kingdom.
This is THE best way to start any day! (Watch the video and see if you agree.)
Sit in the “lion” section for Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom.
In our opinion, it’s much more fun to “roar” like a lion than “bleat” like a giraffe so we always sit in the lion section.
Enjoy a picnic supper while we hold our viewing spot at World Showcase Plaza for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
Mommy Frog spreads out the blanket and waits with the kids while I go grab chicken nuggets and fries from Electric Umbrella. I’m sure I’ll look back on those low-key little picnics and cry like a baby when the kids grow up.
Have a giant “group hug” in front of each park’s icon.
Cinderella Castle…check! Spaceship Earth…check! Sorcerer Hat…check! Tree of Life…check! Feeling the love…CHECK!
Here’s to creating special memories that become fun family traditions wherever they happen! What are your family traditions?
Happy Traveling,
