Frog Overview
The Tree of Life® is the centerpiece of Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. It's a 14-story masterpiece that is 50 feet wide at the base. The tree is hand-carved with a swirling tapestry of over 325 animal images to create a staggering spectacle that is truly a sight to behold!Pay close attention to the Tree of Life once the sun goes down. It comes to life with fireflies awakening the animal spirits you see carved onto the tree. The display is lit up with swirling colors and beautiful imagery that's a spectacular to see! This 3-minute wondrous display of nature celebrates the harmony that exists between all species roaming the globe.

Frog Family Tips
- If you plan on visiting the Tree of Life, try to also experience the 3D attraction based on the Disney•Pixar film, "A Bug's Life." It's Tough to be a Bug!® Attraction is performed inside the tree.
- Stop on the bridge between the Oasis and Discovery Island® for a great picture of The Tree of Life®. If you have binoculars handy, they are useful in helping spot all the animals carved into the Tree of Life.
- Pay attention when the sun goes down! It is really a sight to behold.
Fun Facts
- This tree is one of the few artificial trees among over 4 million living plants at Disney's Animal Kingdom®.
- The tree is topped with more than 103,000 translucent, five-shades-of-green leaves that were individually placed and actually blow in the wind.
- Ten artists and three Imagineers worked full-time for 18 months to create the 325 animal carvings on The Tree of Life®.
