Pack your compass and canteen! Universal Islands of Adventure is where your favorite stories come to life. Mythic quests, magical adventures and marvelous moments abound at this thrilling theme park where you chart your own destiny. Because of safety precautions, not all adventurers will be able to ride every attraction. Being aware of height requirements before entering the park is the best way to diminish in-park temper tantrums and temper expectations for the smallest of explorers. If you're planning to visit Universal Orlando Resort's storied second gate in the near (or far) future, here's everything you need to know about Islands of Adventure height requirements.

Overview of Islands of Adventure Height Requirements
With hair-raising roller coasters, epic simulators, wet and wild water rides and an endless array of play areas, the attractions at Universal Islands of Adventure are truly second-to-none. However, to ride the majority of the attractions at this park, your tadpole needs to be at least 40 inches or taller. There's signage at the park entrance (before security) you can use to measure your child for each ride, but be aware that a Universal team member may still request to confirm their height before riding.
Additionally, any child who meets the minimum height requirement of an attraction but doesn't meet the 48-inch, ride-alone height requirement must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion — someone who is 14 years of age or older and meets all other attraction ridership requirements. Children under 48 inches must be able to sit upright unassisted on all rides.
