Buzz, buzz! At Walt Disney World, Leap and I definitely come down with a little OCD — Obsessive Coffee Disorder. Hey, we're the first to tell you that a Disney vacation is equal parts amazing and absolutely exhausting. Ya know what they say, "There's no tired like Disney tired!" Walt Disney World is the most magical place on earth, and for coffee lovers — a caffeine-filled paradise! From frothy frappes, rich lattes, flavorful cold brews and everything in between, it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start. In this blog post, we will explore some of the best coffee at Walt Disney World to ensure you stay properly fueled throughout your stay. Cool beans? Let's espress-go!
Where to Find the Best Coffee at Walt Disney World
Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company
Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company is a smart place to start if you're looking for a high-quality cup of coffee. This coffee chain has locations throughout Walt Disney World, including the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. Each location has a menu filled with a variety of cold brews, cappuccinos, espressos, lattes and hot chocolate, as well as a great selection of tea.
A popular item at Joffrey's Coffee & Tea is its Shakin' Jamaican Cold Brew. This brew is smooth and bold with hints of vanilla and caramel. It's a nice way to cool down on a hot day at the parks, (because a hot day = cold brew, amiright?) and it's perfect for coffee lovers who want something a little different.
Want to make your java even more magical? For just a little extra, Joffrey's will print a design onto any foam-based drink. To do this, baristas use a machine dubbed the Ripple Maker. From Disney characters, seasonal motifs or even a selfie — there's no limit to the images you can add to your foamy drink. If you'd like to use your own image, download the "Ripples — Drink Personalization" app, select the specific Joffrey's location, choose your image and then show the barista your design number. We might be a little biased, but a foamy frog face sounds like a frogtastic addition!
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew
Local to Florida, Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew is a hip and funky spot to grab a coffee and a treat at Disney Springs.
This popular shop specializes in creative donut flavors, as well as a variety of delicious cold brews. The Nitro Cold Brew, infused with nitrogen for a smooth and creamy texture, stands out as one of its most popular coffee drinks. You can enjoy this straight or customize it with different flavored syrups. Our favorite hoppens to be the Double Chocolate Nitro Cold Brew with chocolate milk and chocolate and white syrups. YUM!
In addition, Everglazed has other coffee options, including regular cold brew, hot drip coffee and iced specialty drinks. But let's be serious ... it wouldn't be a stop at Everglazed without indulging in one of its enormous doughnuts. The doughnut flavors include options such as Maple Double Bacon, Fruity Pebbles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. We LOVE the Toppers, which is a signature cold brew and doughnut combination. Baristas serve a doughnut atop your coffee lid — talk about presentation!
Starbucks Coffee Company
If you're a Starbucks fan, you'll be thrilled to know that there are several locations scattered around Walt Disney World. Just like your local Starbucks, you'll find its full menu of drinks, including espresso drinks, lattes, frappuccinos and holiday favorites. The Disney Starbucks locations have sandwiches and pastries available as well as Disney desserts.
Obviously, the most magical Starbucks location is the one inside Magic Kingdom. You'll find it in the Main Street Bakery. With coffee in hand, be sure to take a stroll or nab a spot on the hub grass to enjoy the stellar views of Cinderella Castle.
In addition to Magic Kingdom, Starbucks can be found at Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios (more on that below), Connections Cafe in EPCOT and Creature Comforts at Animal Kingdom. In Disney Springs, there are two locations — one on the West Side next to the Aerophile balloon and a second near the AdventHealth Waterside Stage.
Kona Cafe
Kona Cafe is a restaurant located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's a hoppin' good place to start your morning with a cup of joe. Here you'll find the infamous Kona blend that's made with beans from Hawaii. We highly recommend trying the Hawaiian Kona Maragogype Press Pot!
Another staple is the Tonga Toast. This mouthwatering breakfast is made with thick-sliced sourdough bread, stuffed with bananas and coated in cinnamon sugar. And it just so hoppens to pair well with a cup of Kona coffee. #islandlife
Trolley Car Cafe
"Clang, clang, clang went the trolley!" (I know ... My Judy Garland fandom is showing!) The Trolley Car Cafe is a wonderful place to grab a Caramel Macchiato while visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios. This Starbucks location is housed in a replica of an old-fashioned trolley station. There's outdoor seating just behind the cafe along Sunset Boulevard. Make a stop for a mid-day break and do a little people-watching.
A Trolley Car Cafe signature snack that we seem to get again and again is the Carrot Cake Cookie. This treat is made with cream cheese frosting sandwiched between two carrot cake cookies. We have to admit that a Carrot Cake Cookie + freshly brewed coffee = pure magic!
Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's a frog family favorite and will do the trick when you're in search of a quality caffeine pick-me-up. For a little over $9, you can request the Press Pot Peru Alto Mayo Protected Forest Coffee. This is enough to serve two. Sip and savor, but you can also feel good knowing that your purchase supports the Disney conservation efforts to promote sustainable coffee and economic growth in Peru.
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe
If strong and potent coffee is your jam, then the Viking Coffee at EPCOT is a must-try. This Scandinavian-inspired coffee drink can be found at the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion. It's a unique and flavorful option that will give you the energy you need to keep up with your tadpoles in parks.
The Viking Coffee is made with Kamora coffee liqueur, Bailey's Irish Cream and hot coffee. The frozen version is topped with coffee-chocolate sauce and chocolate crispies. The mix of coffee, plus a little alcohol might just be the magic potion that keeps us parent frogs from losing our sanity on those busy park days. ;)
Not only is the Viking Coffee delicious, but the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is also a charming setting. You'll feel like you're in the middle of a quaint Norwegian village. The bakery offers pastries and we recommend pairing your Viking Coffee with the iconic school bread.
Royal Anandapur Tea Company
Need a little perk while at Animal Kingdom? Look no further than the Royal Anandapur Tea Company. This little tea shop is located in the Asia section of the park and has a nice selection of coffee and tea. I usually leap for the Cafe Latte, while Lily and Tad always order the Peach Iced Tea. The Cafe Latte is made with Joffrey's espresso, steamed milk and a flavor of your choosing. The Peach Tea is light and makes for the ultimate refresher on a hot day. The Royal Anandapur Tea Company's unique theming, characterized by a colorful storefront and intricate details, transports you to India.
Gideon's Bakehouse
Nestled in the heart of Disney Springs, Gideon's Bakehouse earns its reputation for sinister cookies and a mysterious bakehouse. However, what many overlook are the several unmissable coffee drinks. Among them, the Original Peanut Butter Cold Brew stands out!
Crafted from Gideon's Oat Milk Cold Brew and a dark-roasted peanut blend, this distinctive drink is sweetened with maple syrup and is both vegan and gluten-free. I personally think it makes the perfect pick-me-up after a long day of shopping in Disney Springs.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Bright suns! The atmosphere in Galaxy's Edge is immersive with incredible attention to detail. Whether you're grabbing a quick snack or settling in for a full day of adventure, there are two coffee options in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge that are worth exploring.
Oga's Cantina — is the lively bar that serves up an array of space-themed cocktails and beverages ... but did you know that the menu also includes coffee? The Black Spire Brew, concocted with Joffrey's Cold Brew, honey, Falernum, passion fruit and citrus in a fan-favorite. A few swigs of this and you'll be ready to take on Kylo Ren!
You can find another intriguing coffee option at Kat Saka's Kettle — the Cold Brew Black Caf. Want it spiked? Be sure to ask for the chocolate liqueur. Did you hear that? I think we just awakened the Force!
Wine Bar George
Ah, Wine Bar George! It's one of my favorite places in all of Disney World. This upscale eatery offers wine and specialty cocktails, including the Wake Up Call. It's a strong and tasty coffee-based drink that's perfect for brunch or a night out on the town. Chef George Miliotes exhibits culinary genius in his sophisticated and chic restaurant, which features a classy interior and a beautiful outdoor terrace.
What sets the Wake Up Call apart from other coffee cocktails is the balance of flavors and the attention to detail. This cocktail infuses Barsol Pisco and Borghetti Espresso Liqueur into espresso, resembling an espresso martini. The espresso liqueur adds a rich and complex coffee flavor, while the Barsol Pisco gives the drink a smooth and boozy kick.
Now you know where to find the best coffee at Disney World. I don't know about you, but this post just mocha me so hoppy. I love it a latte! Oh goodness — clearly the caffeine has kicked in and the puns are endless! What brews are your favorite? Did we leave any important ones off the list? Let us know in the comments!
