Overview of Cafe Orleans at Disneyland
Cafe Orleans is a charming sit-down restaurant nestled in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square. Known for its flavorful French and Southern-inspired dishes and relaxed, jazzy atmosphere, it’s a favorite for those looking for a more leisurely dining experience. With both indoor seating and an outdoor patio that overlooks the lively streets of the land, this spot offers a cozy place to rest and refuel in the middle of your park day.
The Location
You’ll find Cafe Orleans right in the heart of New Orleans Square, just a short walk from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion, and across from Rivers of America. The area is full of rich detail, from wrought-iron, double-story balconies to colorful buildings with beautiful French architecture, just like the real French Quarter of New Orleans. Inside the restaurant, you'll even see the original espresso machine Walt used to make his favorite brew. It’s a great place to slow down, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a meal with a view.
When to Dine
Lunch and early dinner are the sweet spots for dining here. The restaurant tends to get busy in the evenings, especially on weekends and holidays, so we recommend grabbing a dining reservation through the Disneyland app up to 60 days prior. If you need to cancel, make sure to do so at least two hours before your reservation time to avoid a $10 per person charge. Walk-ups are sometimes available, but the wait can be long during peak times. Seating is based on what is available at the time. Those with a reservation may request to be seated outside. Those on a walk-up list may not be able to choose whether they sit inside or outside.
Cafe Orleans Menu
The braised beef short rib, Cajun butter-roasted chicken and blackened shrimp Alfredo pasta are also just as good as they sound. You’ll find chicken gumbo, a meat-free version of the Monte Cristo, a smoked tomato risotto and kid-friendly options such as chicken strips, shrimp, cheesy macaroni and fruits and veggies.
The dessert menu includes a crème brûlée tart and a pistachio raspberry tiramisu. Pair your meal with a mint julep, seasonal lemonade, mocktail or classic soft drink to round out the experience. Cafe Orleans is one of the select few locations inside Disneyland Park that serves alcohol. There are wines, beers and cocktails to choose from. This includes a mint julep with bourbon (yum!). There is a limit of two alcoholic beverages per guest per transaction.
Cafe Orleans Dining Package
If you are a fellow lover of the amazing nighttime show, Fantasmic!, you'll be just as excited as we were to learn that Cafe Orleans now has a dining package for the show. Fantasmic! is shown right across from the restaurant on Rivers of America and is, in our opinion, the most worth it of all the Disneyland dining packages. The Cafe Orleans dining package gives you a front-and-center view of the show without obstruction. You can save time and stress while getting a decent meal and a fantasmic view. Plus, you can sit to watch the show, and your kids can actually see it!
The Standard Package, offered at Cafe Orleans, costs $58 per adult and $32 per child (ages 3-9), plus tax and gratuity. You can enjoy a 3-course lunch or dinner and receive a voucher for a separate reserved viewing location for your choice of one of the two Fantasmic! performances that evening. Lunch starts at 11 a.m. Dinner starts at 4 p.m.
For lunch and dinner, you can choose from the Cajun butter-roasted chicken, the blackened shrimp Alfredo, the smoked tomato risotto or the triple cheese Monte Cristo (the regular Monte Cristo is available upon request). Or, you have the option of a Creole surf and turf or a steak frites for an extra $10 charge. Dessert includes a Fantasmic!-inspired chocolate decadence tart. Plus, you'll receive a souvenir item with your nonalcoholic beverage.
To book, make a regular reservation for Café Orleans. Let your host or server know you would like the Fantasmic! Dining Package. Availability is limited. We suggest making an earlier reservation so they don't sell out before you dine. You can choose which show you want when you dine, subject to availability.
Final Thoughts on Cafe Orleans
Cafe Orleans offers one of the most flavorful and relaxing meals inside Disneyland Park. With its beautiful setting, bold dishes and nods to New Orleans culture, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Whether you’re dining under the patio umbrellas or enjoying the jazz indoors, Cafe Orleans delivers a delicious dose of Southern comfort — Disney style.
