Frog Overview
Traverse treacherous waters deep into the heart of the Caribbean and come face to face with the notorious Captain Jack Sparrow! Hoist anchor and set sail through a seaport set ablaze by pillaging pirates under the command of the barbaric Barbossa - hot on the trail of his wily nemesis, Captain Jack, and the temptation of buried treasure. Discover the attraction enhancements inspired by the films: Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa Audio-Animatronics® figures, exciting new special effects, and classic Disney storytelling that adds a new layer of adventure to this timeless attraction.Pirates of the Caribbean is an indoor pirate-themed boat ride in New Orleans Square at Disneyland® Park. The ride's duration is about 15 minutes. Guests must transfer from their wheelchair/ECV to the boat. Handheld Captioning devices, which display text for segments at this location, are available at Guest Relations. Audio Description devices that provide supplemental audio for guests with visual disabilities are also available at Guest Relations.

- Try to visit in the morning or during a parade. Wait times will be shortest then.
- Don't miss this ride! It is arguably one of the best rides in all of Disneyland® Park. Young tadpoles might be frightened by the dark and some of the pirate scenes.

- This is the original Pirates of the Caribbean attraction of the Disney parks, opening on March 18, 1967.
- Because of the success of Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress at the 1964 New York World's Fair, Walt Disney decided Audio-Animatronics would be perfect for the pirate-themed ride.
