Legend of the Seas Overview

Legend of the Seas is the third ship in Royal Caribbean's groundbreaking Icon Class, joining the award-winning Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas. While she shares many of the innovative features that have made the Icon Class so popular, Legend introduces several exclusive entertainment experiences, new artistic touches and exciting itineraries that help set her apart from her sister ships.

Like her Icon Class sisters, Legend measures nearly 1,200 feet long and rises 20 decks above the water. She accommodates up to 5,610 guests at double occupancy while more than 2,300 crew members help deliver Royal Caribbean's signature service throughout every sailing.

The ship also marks a first for the Icon Class. Rather than debuting in Florida, she'll begin her career in Europe with seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries before making her way to Fort Lauderdale for Caribbean adventures later in 2026. During the summer months, guests can explore iconic ports throughout Spain, France and Italy before the ship heads to the Caribbean, that include Perfect Day at CocoCay and other tropical destinations.

Throughout the ship, guests will discover eight distinct neighborhoods, each with its own atmosphere, restaurants, bars and attractions.

Legend of the Seas Itineraries

The ship begins her inaugural season in July 2026 with seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona. Later in the season, select sailings also depart from Rome (Civitavecchia), giving guests even more opportunities to explore some of Europe's most iconic destinations.

Depending on your itinerary, ports of call may include destinations throughout Spain, France and Italy.

In late 2026, Legend repositions to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she'll begin sailing Southern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

Ultimate Family Townhouse

If you're looking for the ultimate family vacation, it doesn't get much better than the Ultimate Family Townhouse. This incredible three-story suite features two bedrooms, an in-suite slide, a private movie theater, karaoke space and an outdoor patio complete with a whirlpool. Guests also enjoy exclusive amenities and the personalized service of a dedicated Royal Genie.

Family Infinite Balcony

One of the most innovative accommodations aboard Legend of the Seas is the Family Infinite Balcony. With the push of a button, the balcony transforms into an additional indoor living space, giving families even more room to spread out. A separate kids' nook features bunk beds and entertainment designed just for younger cruisers, while the split bathroom layout makes getting everyone ready for dinner much easier.

Infinite Balcony Staterooms

Available with ocean views or overlooking Central Park, Infinite Balcony staterooms blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. Rather than stepping onto a traditional balcony, the floor-to-ceiling windows open to create an airy extension of your room.

Surfside Family Staterooms

Located within the family-focused Surfside neighborhood, these accommodations put families just steps from Splashaway Bay, Surfside Eatery and many of the ship's kid-friendly attractions. The flexible living space converts into a cozy sleeping area for children, while the split bathroom design helps families stay on schedule each morning.

Sunset Suites

For incredible ocean views, the Sunset Suites are hard to beat. Positioned at the aft of the ship, these suites provide front-row seats to spectacular sunsets each evening. Select accommodations even feature wraparound balconies that provide panoramic ocean views throughout your sailing.

Panoramic Ocean View Rooms & AquaDome Suites

Guests looking for something truly unique can book accommodations near the AquaDome. These rooms offer sweeping ocean views while placing guests close to one of the ship's most exciting entertainment venues.

Interior Staterooms

Interior staterooms continue to offer one of the best values onboard. While they don't include ocean views, they feature comfortable bedding, a private bathroom, television, mini refrigerator, in-room safe and plenty of thoughtful storage.

One of the defining features of every Icon Class ship is its neighborhood concept. Rather than feeling like one massive cruise ship, Legend of the Seas is divided into eight different neighborhoods, each with its own dining options, entertainment and attractions.

Royal Promenade

The first thing you'll notice is The Pearl, the stunning kinetic sculpture that has become the signature centerpiece of every Icon Class ship. Covered in thousands of shimmering tiles, The Pearl constantly changes appearance as light moves across its surface.

Pearl Café serves complimentary grab-and-go favorites throughout the day, including pastries, sandwiches, salads and specialty coffee drinks. Just around the corner, Sorrento's dishes out Royal Caribbean's always-popular pizza until late into the evening.

Guests looking for a sit-down meal can enjoy family-style Italian favorites at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, while those simply wanting to relax with a drink can choose from several venues throughout the neighborhood.

Central Park also happens to be one of the best dining neighborhoods onboard.

Park Café remains one of Royal Caribbean's most popular complimentary restaurants, serving breakfast favorites, fresh salads and made-to-order sandwiches throughout the day. Izumi in the Park offers grab-and-go sushi along with access to the full Izumi Hibachi & Sushi experience nearby.

For a special night out, Chops Grille returns with its signature steakhouse menu, while Trellis Bar provides the perfect setting for an evening cocktail surrounded by lush greenery.

Music lovers won't want to miss Lou's Jazz n' Blues Club, where talented musicians perform live throughout the evening.

Surfside

Designed specifically for young families, Surfside brings together splash zones, dining, activities and accommodations into one convenient location so parents spend less time walking across the ship and more time making memories together.

At the center of the neighborhood is Splashaway Bay, an interactive water playground featuring slides, fountains, climbing areas and the always-popular drench bucket. Younger cruisers also have their own dedicated splash area at Baby Bay, giving even the smallest family members a safe place to cool off.

Surfside Eatery offers a complimentary buffet with plenty of family favorites, while Surfside Bites serves quick snacks like burgers, hot dogs, popcorn chicken and sweet treats.

One of the neighborhood's most unique features is The Lemon Post. This family-friendly bar lets adults enjoy tropical cocktails while younger guests order colorful nonalcoholic drinks from their own menu.

Thrill Island

Located high above the ocean, this neighborhood packs together many of Royal Caribbean's signature attractions into one action-filled destination that's perfect for adrenaline junkies.

The star attraction is Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea. Featuring six record-breaking waterslides, Category 6 offers everything from high-speed racing slides to heart-pounding free falls.

Thrill Island is also home to Crown's Edge, the unforgettable attraction that combines a skywalk, ropes course and thrill ride nearly 160 feet above the ocean.

Don't froget dessert! Desserted Milkshake Bar returns with towering over-the-top milkshakes that are almost as fun to photograph as they are to eat. While they're not included in your cruise fare, we'd call them a worthy splurge at least once during your sailing.

Chill Island

Chill Island is Legend of the Seas' ultimate pool deck, combining beautiful ocean views with multiple pools, comfortable loungers and plenty of places to grab a bite or sip on a tropical drink.

One of the biggest highlights is Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea. Nearby, Swim & Tonic returns as the largest swim-up bar at sea. Adults can order frozen cocktails without ever leaving the water, while nearby loungers and private casitas offer a more laid-back way to spend the afternoon.

Families will also find one of our favorite complimentary lunch spots here. El Loco Fresh serves freshly made tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos throughout the day.

Adults looking for a quieter atmosphere should make their way to Cloud 17, an adults-only retreat featuring a pool, whirlpools, comfortable loungers and incredible ocean views.

The Hideaway

Guests can relax in the infinity pool, unwind in one of two whirlpools or reserve a daybed for an upgraded experience.

Suite Neighborhood

Guests staying in Grand Suite accommodations and above enjoy access to the exclusive Suite Neighborhood, one of the biggest perks of booking a suite aboard an Icon Class ship.

Rather than simply offering a larger stateroom, the Suite Neighborhood creates an entirely different vacation experience. Suite guests enjoy exclusive access to a private sundeck complete with loungers, whirlpools and dedicated service.

Coastal Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner exclusively for suite guests, combining Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with panoramic ocean views. Nearby, The Grove offers a more casual option with light bites and refreshing drinks.

AquaDome

At the very front of the ship sits one of the defining features of every Icon Class vacation — the AquaDome.

Wrapped in towering glass panels that offer breathtaking panoramic ocean views, this incredible space transforms throughout the day. In the morning, it's a peaceful place to enjoy coffee while watching the sunrise. By evening, it becomes one of the most spectacular entertainment venues at sea.

At the heart of the AquaDome is the AquaTheater. Here, world-class divers, aerialists, dancers and high divers perform breathtaking productions featuring diving platforms, synchronized fountains, robotics and immersive lighting effects. Thanks to the enclosed design, performances can continue rain or shine.

The Overlook provides comfortable seating areas suspended above the ocean, making it one of the ship's best places to relax with a book or simply watch the waves roll by.
