Hi there! Welcome to our weekly roundup of the most interesting theme park news around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and other theme parks.
- The Force is getting stronger! Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, Din Djarin and Grogu will join the galactic adventures on Star Wars — The Adventures Continue, starting April 5, 2024, at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort (and even Disneyland Paris). It also happens to kick off the Season of the Force celebration, which is returning to our galaxy at Disneyland Resort and will run from April 5 to June 2, 2024.
- The full 1900 Park Fare breakfast and dinner menus have been revealed! Highlights from the all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast menu include the Grand Floridian strawberry soup, bread pudding with vanilla crème anglaise, classic eggs Benedict, croissant breakfast pizza and plant-based spiced tofu scramble, plus more. Meanwhile for dinner, enjoy Tiana's gumbo, carved prime rib, curry-roasted chicken, couscous salad and more. Reservations are now available for this fan-favorite character dining spot at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
- All aboard, Avengers! Marvel Day at Sea will return to Disney Cruise Line in 2025 on select five-night Disney Dream sailings from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Guests onboard can experience Marvel-themed character greetings, entertainment, activities and more.
- Attention Disneyland regulars — Magic Key passes are back on sale. Initially, all four Magic Key passes went on sale March 5, but as of writing, the Imagine Key (the lowest tier and only available for Southern California residents) has sold out.
- The Knott's Boysenberry Festival kicks off today, March 8, and will continue through April 28, 2024. The annual festival celebrates the history and flavor of the boysenberry, which was first commercially cultivated by Walter Knott. Try out new food and drink items such as chicken tikka masala with boysenberry curry sauce, boysenberry brownie parfait and more.
- Catapult Falls is now open at SeaWorld San Antonio! Considered the world's first launched flume coaster, riders are taken to the top of a vertical lift before dropping 55 feet at a 53-degree angle — the steepest of its kind. Are you brave enough to try?
- In celebration of "Kung Fu Panda 4," now in movie theaters, you can stop by and learn some kung fu moves from the one-and-only Po! He will greet guests for a limited time from now until March 17 outside the DreamWorks Theater at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- A big but convenient change is coming soon to the dining reservation systems at Disney World and Disneyland. When making a dining reservation on the website or app, you'll be able to view available dining reservations for any given restaurant up to 10 days at a time, instead of having to view single-day availability only. It will make planning your meals so much easier, especially when you're trying to snag a reservation for a popular restaurant.
That's it for theme park news this week.
Hoppy planning!
