Linking Your Disney World Hotel Reservation

After you've made your hotel reservation, you can link it with My Disney Experience so you can make your FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance of check-in. You will also have the chance to customize your MagicBands and have them shipped to you if time allows. Note: MagicBands cannot be shipped to all countries. If you do not receive MagicBands in advance, they will be available to you upon check-in.

To get started linking your hotel reservation:

  • Go to Startyourdisneyexperience.com and login or create your account
  • Under the MyDisneyExperience tab, select My Reservations and Tickets
  • Select Link Resort Reservation and enter your reservation details

After that, visit Magic Bands and Cards on the MyDisneyExperience tab. From there, you can verify your shipping address and then can customize MagicBands for each member of your party.

It's that simple, and you're on your way to a great Disney World vacation!

I'm trying to see how much my room and tickets would cost through yall for jan 6-10 for 2020, but no matter which hotel I try to add to my cart I get a notification saying that "this rate is no longer available". Am I trying to look too far in advance? Thank you!

I know this is an older post, but I was wondering if you book through undercover tourist for a week at pop century, how likely is it that you will get your room requests? Traveling with toddler so we will need bed rails and we would like to be close to the bus stop :/

Hi Rachel!

All room requests are viewed as just requests rather than guarantees, but we've had good luck in the past with our requests with room location! The bed rails should be a more certain process. You can either request at check-in, or call ahead to reserve.

If we book a hotel and tickets package with you, do we still get the free luggage tags that Disney does with their packages?

FrogBlog Says...

Hi Melinda,

Yes, you do! The luggage tags are part of the Disney's Magical Express amenity, which is included with packages booked through our site. When you book your Disney hotel through us, a link to reserve Disney's Magical Express will be in your Hotel Reservation e-mail. Once you set this up, Disney will mail you their cute and fun luggage tags!

Would I be able to add Disney Dining Plan through WDW after linking my reservation (if purchased through Undercover Tourist)? Thanks.

I just called Disney to add a dining plan to my reservations. They said I would have to do it with you. (Undercover Tourist). So, maybe the answer is no I can't do that.

Hi George,

We offer the same booking window as Disney direct, which currently goes through the end of this year (Dec 31, 2017).  We’ll have 2018 inventory as soon as it becomes available!

I have bought tickets from you before but not a hotel stay. Why is the room we want available on your website but not directly through Disney's website? Will we get our luggage tags and magic bands like we would when we book through Disney?

Hi Maly,

A hoppy moment!? Yes, you will get your MagicBands just as you would if you booked direct after you have created your profile in My Disney Experience. You will need to make arrangements to use Disney's Magical Express, and you can find more details here.

Hi,

I am trying to figure out if 6 March 17 to 10 Mar will or wont be a good time to visit. It falls in the worst times in this blog but in this crowd calendar it says average. On other sites it is saying it will be very low 3/10. It is before Spring break so should I be ok? Members of my party have Asperger's so crowds are a huge issue.

Hi Tyler,

We are expecting medium crowds during this time, the lowest of the month (minus the first few days).

Hi Sarah,

You should see neutral crowds for your trip.

You might want to check out this post that outlines Disney's disability program.

I am planning Our Family's Very 1st Trip to Walt Disney World! I am kind of Stuck on the Best Month to go in. We are looking to go more towards the end of 2017 but I wanted to start the planning now. Which Months are better to come to WDW? Sept., Oct, or November? I do not want to be stuck with non stop rainy days, so I'm unsure when it's best to come. ☺

Hi Ashley,

You can get a good idea by checking out our Crowd Calendar. Even though this is not all of 2017, it will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Why is the week of Feb 17/26, 2017 the worst time to visit the park. I was looking so forward to attending for the first time to celebrate my 50th birthday. ????

We are trying to plan our First WDW trip for either April 23 or April 30th of 2017. Looking for a suggestion of which date would be better to arrive on? We would stay for 1 week and are looking at either the Art of Animation hotel of Port Orleans Riverside. We will have 2 kids ages 2 and 14 with us. Any suggestions on which hotel would be better would be great.

Thanks

Heather

Hi Heather,

The first week is slightly better from a crowds perspective, but I would look at the hotel rates to see if there is a big difference. Both resorts are very nice. Would you be staying in the suites at Disney's Art of Animation? If so, I would say this has an edge of Port Orleans just in terms of space. First timers generally spend most of their time in the parks, so amenities are less important, but Port Orleans do have more than Art of Animation.

Did you check out the Frog Family reviews on each hotel page? That may provide you with more information. Both are terrific resorts.

Keep hopping!
