Why would you bring a baby to Disneyland? Some find it silly to tote an infant or toddler around a theme park when they won’t have any memory of it. And yet every visit to the parks we see so many families with their tadpoles. The early years of your child are a magical experience. First steps, first claps, giggles and reactions. It's all heightened at a Disney park. With music, parades and characters to see, every parent and grandparent melts watching the magic through their child's eyes. Bringing a baby to the parks isn't really for the baby. It's for you, the parent! The memories you'll never froget and the photos you'll cherish forever. Not to mention that children under the age of three are free at Disneyland, which saves a pretty penny on sitters!

Mommy Frog's Lowdown on the Baby Care Center at Disneyland

Disneyland has the perfect setup to help froggy parents and caretakers with their babies. We're sharing everything you need to know about the Baby Care Center at Disneyland.

Baby Care Center Overview

The Baby Care Center is a little slice of heaven for every parent. Offered in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, this oasis will help with whatever you may need for your little one. And the best part is it’s free to any ticketed guest. Inside you will find feeding stations with high chairs and a private lounge with rocking chairs for nursing. Microwaves, bottle warmers and counter space for a quick food prep are also available. The baby center comes fully stocked with anything you might froget or run out of.  It has vending machines full of options for sale. With a credit card you can purchase pacifiers, wipes, diapers, formula, baby food, juice, sunscreen and over-the-counter medication! It’s endlessly helpful for a parent or guardian in need.

If you need to pump milk, you’ll need to bring your own pump. You can store it at the Baby Care Center in Disney California Adventure or at the nurse’s station next door to the Baby Care Center in Disneyland. The park cannot store milk for you, but you can get ice from a restaurant. Frozen water bottles last a long time and work well to keep milk cold. The Baby Care Centers also have filtered water to mix formula, bottle warmers and a microwave to warm up food.

Farther back you will find clean padded changing stations as well as stalls with toddler toilets. This is unsuspectingly helpful for those newly potty trained kiddos. When Lily was training, she loved the Baby Care Center’s tiny potties that were just her size (for guests under 42 inches). She even got a sticker for using the tiny potty! There's a toilet with a manual flush, which can be a big deal for you if your little one is terrified of the loud toilets that automatically flush when they least expect it. (We bring Post-It Notes to stick over the sensor when using the larger potties in the park.) The Disney California Adventure location also has a family restroom, which is lacking from the older Disneyland Center.

Small Potties at Baby Care Center

The Care Center is a breather from the parks and noise. Sometimes a toddler can be overstimulated and tired. The quiet, dimmed and air-conditioned baby center is a nice spot to take a break. It is also the perfect spot for a nursing mommy frog to feed her tadpole without distraction. There are rocking chairs and closed off rooms to use. Sometimes giving the baby a little extra focus is needed and can be challenging in the middle of a Disney park. When a diaper blows or a pacifier is lost the Baby Care Center really can be a metaphorical life saver.

Baby Care Center Location

Disneyland Baby Care Center - seating areaThe Baby Care Center in Disneyland is located just at the end of Main Street and to the right, across from the Red Wagon Corn Dog stand. And in Disney California Adventure you can find the Baby Care Center around the left corner of the Ghirardelli shop and on the way to Cars Land. Both are available during all park hours and there are lovely cast members available to assist you. The Baby Care Center is an amazing amenity offered by the parks so be sure to take advantage with your tadpoles.

If you visit the Baby Care Center in Disneyland Park, take a look at the baby pictures on the wall. You can see baby Walt Disney himself!

Are Strollers Allowed Inside the Baby Care Center?

No. You cannot bring strollers into the Baby Care Centers. So if you are one adult caring for multiple little ones, we recommend the companion restrooms instead. You can bring your stroller and multiple children inside with you so you can keep everyone contained while you change a diaper or use the restroom yourself! Plus, the companion restrooms have manual flushers, which work better for little ones with sensitive ears who can find the regular restrooms with automatic flushers a bit noisy, unpredictable and scary. Baby Care Center and First Aid at Disneyland - First aid counter

First Aid

Another frogtastic service available in the parks is First Aid. You won't find real medical help in the Baby Care Center so, if needed, it is best to seek out First Aid. First Aid can offer general pain relievers, ice packs and badages. There are beds to lay down on and certified nurses are available for assistance. If you need serious attention, they can call 911. First Aid in Disneyland is located directly next to the Baby Care Center. In Disney California Adventure you can find First Aid can right as you enter the park to the left next to Oswald’s Tire.

Where to Purchase Medication

You can purchase more options of medicine at most shops (for sale behind the counter). Castle Brothers on Main Street has a good selection. This includes Pepto-Bismol, Afrin, Alka-Seltzer and more. Although Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth, sometimes the human condition is unavoidable and someone in your party may come down sick while at the parks. First Aid and the options for purchase at Castle Brothers can really come in handy in these instances.

Other Helpful Tips for Bringing a Baby to Disneyland
