Grab your paint palette and brushes, froggy friends! It’s time to paint the town! The 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is running now through Feb. 24, 2204. The Frog Family loves this festival for a million reasons, but it takes my top spot as the best EPCOT festival for kids like me, Lily Frog. This festival is chock-full of hands-on activities, exciting scavenger hunts, delicious food offerings, plus amazing entertainment and shopping experiences. In this post, I’ll be diving deep into everything you need to know for an epic day at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with kids. Now, let’s get artsy!

EPCOT International Festival of the Arts With Kids — Preparation
Just like every art project, there’s a little prep work involved before creating a real masterpiece.
Be sure to pick up a Festival Passport as you enter the park. This colorful little guide will be your lifeline as you make your way through the festival. Inside, you’ll find a list of the festival's activities, entertainment offerings and merchandise information. You’ll also want to have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your phone and ready to go. This is where you will find the park hours and entertainment showtimes.
Also, consider purchasing a festival Disney gift card. The festival gift cards are themed with Figment! Purchasing a gift card allows you to set a budget and load a predetermined amount onto the card.
Mommy and Daddy Frog do this for my brother Tad and me. We get to spend our money on whatever we want, and Mom and Dad don’t have to worry about busting the budget. It comes with a stretchy wristband and doubles as a frogtastic souvenir to take home!
One of my favorite activities is Figment’s Brush With The Masters Scavenger Hunt (more on that below!). To save you an extra step or two, pick up the Figment scavenger hunt map at the same time as your gift cards.
Both the gift cards and scavenger hunt maps can be purchased at Pin Traders, Gateway Gifts, Port of Entry, Disney Traders and World Traveler. We've even seen them available at some of the merchandise booths.
Kid-Friendly EPCOT Festival of the Arts Activities
This festival offers several hands-on activities that allow you to express your creative flair — perfect for the kiddos!
Once Upon A Stage: 30 Years of Disney on Broadway
New for this year, head over to CommuniCore Hall and check out a walkthrough exhibit celebrating three decades of Disney on Broadway. Throughout the hall, you'll discover costumes and props from your favorite musicals and learn how the Disney films "The Lion King" and "Aladdin" were reimagined for the Broadway stage.
Expression Section: A Paint-By-Number Mural
One of my favorite activities is to complete a paint-by-number in one of my art books. Would you believe that there is a larger-than-life version of this at EPCOT? In collaboration with other guests, you will create a colorful mural that is on display for all to enjoy.
Here’s how it works: Head to the Expression Section kiosk to pick up a small tub of paint and a paintbrush. Each tub is labeled with a number that matches a section on the mural. Simply find your number and paint in the corresponding squares.
The Expression Section: Paint-By-Number Mural is completely free and located along the walking path between the Imagination Pavilion and the World Showcase.
Kids’ Chalk Art
Kids can visit the Chalk Art area and create their very own chalk masterpieces. Families are welcome to create together too. Ask for a bucket of chalk and get down to business! The Kids’ Chalk Art is typically open from 11 a.m. until about 5 p.m. and is also available free of charge.
Chalk Art Galleries
Watch as talented artists bring both 2D and 3D chalk masterpieces to life, featuring famous paintings and Disney characters. The Chalk Art Galleries are located on the bridge to Showcase Plaza.
Animation Academy
Here, you participate in a group art class, led by a Disney artist and learn how to draw animated Disney characters! The sessions are held in the America Gardens Theatre and are offered twice each day at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.
The first session is known to be a little easier and perfect for younger froglets. Bringing home a piece of art that I created all by myself is super exciting.
Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt
Frogs of all ages will love searching for the Festival of the Arts mascot — Figment! Offered every year, this scavenger hunt has you searching for fine art pieces throughout the World Showcase, but with a little spark added! Yes, that mischievous little dragon has somehow managed to make his way into these works of art.
The purchase price is around $10, plus tax. Once you complete the hunt, be sure to return with your completed map to either Pin Traders, Gateway Gifts, Port of Entry, Disney Traders or World Travelers and collect your prize! This year's prize is a choice of one of three art stencils.
Chalk Full of Character
Tucked in throughout the World Showcase, you’ll spy colorful Disney characters in each of the pavilions. From Abu to Sorcerer Mickey, the Frog Family loves spotting these throughout our day. We even make it a competition to see who can find the most.
Artful Photo Ops
Thanks to the 3-D artful photo-ops found throughout the park, you can leap into a fine art display. You'll probably even recognize some of these famous art pieces but notice a missing subject or two. That’s where you come in!
Here’s where you can find them:
- (New!) Near CommuniCore Hall: Moana photo op
- International Gateway: Luncheon of the Boating Party – Pierre-Auguste Renoir
- The American Adventure: Washington Crossing the Delaware – Emanuel Leutze
- Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: Mona Lisa – Leonardo da Vinci
- Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: The Scream – Edvard Munch
- Bridge to World Showcase: Forest Scene from "Sleeping Beauty"
- Bridge to World Showcase: Teatime with Penguins
Festival of the Arts Entertainment
There’s no shortage of entertainment options at the Festival of the Arts. The Frog Family enjoys catching the entertainment spontaneously as we travel through the festival. However, if you know you want to see a certain performance, check the Entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app for showtimes and locations.
Here are our frog favorites:
- Visual Art in Performance: Dance along as an artist paints a colorful Disney character in sync with the speed and rhythm of a pop music hit!
- Musicians: listen to art through music at the CommuniCore Plaza Stage.
- Disney on Broadway Concert Series: Sing along to beloved Disney classics and Broadway musical numbers. There are three performance times offered each evening as well as dinner packages. Check out our guide to EPCOT’s Disney on Broadway Concert Series.
Colorful & Delicious Food Studios
Don't mind that sound — it’s just me smacking my little froggy lips! Out of all the art forms, the culinary arts might just be the most appreciated around here. Each Food Studio offers a variety of artistic and delicious food offerings.
If you have tadpoles with adventurous palettes, then you’re all set. But, if you've got picky eaters, have no worries! Be sure to visit Figment's Inspiration Station at the Odyssey. The Raspberry Pastry Tart or the Rainbow Cake is sure to be a hit.
Here are our top foodie picks for EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with kids:

More Fun at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with Kids
Say Hello to Figment
A trip to the Festival of the Arts just wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Imagination Pavilion to wave hello to Figment. The Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction is a must-do for me. Figment's silly antics make us giggle throughout the entire ride. And with no height requirements, it's perfect for the whole family.
Before you leave, be sure to meet Figment and snap a photo with everyone’s favorite purple dragon! He now has his own meet-and-greet in the Imagination Pavilion and is available to greet guests most days — not just during the festival.

Take Home a Work of Art
To remember your fun-filled day, consider taking home some art or merchandise. The festival is packed with stunning pieces to choose from! On a budget? You’ll find framed prints of original artworks, as well as postcard-sized prints. Don't froget to get it signed by one of Disney’s talented artists!
Shop Festival Merchandise
You'll find Festival Markets that offer a variety of Disney merchandise. This year's Festival design features Figment, his lightbulb (one little spark!) and lots of bright colors.
Speaking of Figment, there's a new popcorn bucket this year. The design showcases Figment sitting on a winged lightbulb, complete with a pull string that makes it glow! This is available on mobile order and can be picked up in The Odyssey building. There's a limit of two per person, while supplies last.
