From the horrifying houses to the sinister scare zones, Halloween Horror Nights Orlando is truly a dastardly delight to the senses. Every year, we look forward to entering the fragrant fog and conquering our greatest fears ... but one thing we eagerly await as much as the epically themed houses is the food. The culinary wizards at Universal Orlando Resort up their game every year with event-exclusive treats, sweets and savory eats — many of which are themed to the year's houses and scare zones. So, we thought it would be hopful to go over what you can expect at Halloween Horror Nights when it comes to silencing the growl in your stomach. Without further ado, here's our frogtastic foodie guide to Halloween Horror Nights.

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando Food - Twisted Tater

Event-Exclusive Food at Halloween Horror Nights 33

From sweet to salty to savory, the variety of food at Halloween Horror Nights never fails to impress. There are some iconic staples every year, such as the Twisted Tater which come with a variety of toppings and the Ghoul Juice. Beyond that, this year, be on the lookout for all-new food and beverage items, such as Summer Camp Dog, Say "Cheese" Burger* and Mini Stay-Puft S'more!

As far as beverages go, there's plenty of liquid courage to be found at Halloween Horror Nights. If you're getting a specialty beverage, purchase a famous blinky souvenir cup to light up your night and commemorate this year's event!

New this year, frogs can experience The HHN Bar, a brand new collaboration between Universal's food and beverage partners and entertainment partners. Located in Battery Park, this wicked watering hole will be smack-dab between the worlds of SINIST3R and SURR3EAL, the ethereal icons of HHN 33. While you'll be able to take photos with them in their respective scare zones (in New York and Hollywood, respectively), The HHN Bar is where you can grab pics with characters from original content stories, such as the Skull Punk from Slaughter Sinema 2 and a goblin from Goblin's Feast. As for Universal Studios Florida, many (but not all) of the park's dining locations remain open during the event serving their standard menus. This is what's open during Halloween Horror Nights in 2024:

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando Food - Florean Fortescue's

Special Resort Treats During Halloween Horror Nights 33

It wouldn't be an event at Universal without CityWalk getting in on some of the festive fun! At The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, you'll find the Día de Los Muertos Shake — chocolate chili ice cream shake, topped with cinnamon streusel, edible marigolds and a chocolate sugar cookie skull.

Universal Tribute Store - Major Sweets Top Hat

Of course, I can't froget to mention the Tribute Store in Universal Studios! From caramels and macarons to trifle cakes and s'mores, the snack case is filled with sinfully sweet treats available for purchase day and night.

Halloween Horror Nights Food 2023 - Spooky Swizzle Lounge

Hopping over to the hotels, THREE of them will house festively themed lounges, featuring Halloween-themed speciality drinks. In Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Mr. Carver's Pumpkin Patch has taken root once again at Swizzle Lounge. In Universal Aventura Hotel, an alien abduction is in progress at Barventura. In Universal Endless Summer — Dockside Inn and Suites, creatures from the depths of the sea have surfaced at Sunset Lounge.

Food Policy During Halloween Horror Nights 33

While Universal Orlando allows small snacks that don't require heating to be brought into the parks during the day, that's not the case for Halloween Horror Nights. Outside food cannot be brought in. The sole exception is for frogs with dietary needs. You'll need to partner with security upon arrival to authorize the food you want to bring in.

As for drinks, no beverages are allowed — including bottled water. Empty refillable bottles are permitted and can be filled with water at any water fountain or Coca-Cola Freestyle machine around the park. Orlando is still pretty hot in September and October. Remember to stay hydrated!

Tips for Eating During Halloween Horror Nights 33

Whether you stop at a restaurant in CityWalk or want to try an eerie event-exclusive entree in the park, plan on eating early. Food lines get significantly longer as the night goes on. It's a great way to maximize your time at Halloween Horror Nights! It's also important to note that food locations close at 1:30 a.m. so, if you're feeling hungry, be sure to grab one last bite before hitting your final house or two.

Halloween Horror Nights 33 Event Preview

Be prepared to sink your teeth into this brand-new killer offering. For one night only on Aug. 29, 2024, frogs can experience Halloween Horror Night Premium Scream Night. This separately ticketed event will not only allow access to haunted houses with shorter wait times (with entry staggered by group), sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of Universal Studios' most exhilarating attractions ... but will offer all-you-care-to-enjoy select full-size food and non-alcoholic beverages. Select alcoholic beverages are available for a separate charge. Frogs will also receive one souvenir credential and lanyard per guest and free self-parking with a valid Halloween Horror Nights Premium Scream Night admission ticket.
