Season's eatings! The holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are a magical time to visit, especially for those foodie frogs! There are hundreds of seasonal food and drink options to choose from — you'll definitely want to make a list and check it twice.
We've done some of the froggy leg work and have hopped around tasting some of the festive treats. This list covers our favorites from the theme parks and Disney Springs, but don't froget there are also delicious offerings at the resort hotels, as well.
So now, it's time to dip into our favorite holiday food at Disney World!
Our Top Holiday Food at Disney World
The holidays are in full swing at Walt Disney World, and that means a sleigh full of goodies! Here's a list of our top 10 favorite holiday food and drink of the season with at least one treat from each theme park and Disney Springs. Cheers!
Holiday Dinner Hot Dog — Magic Kingdom
Starting off at a classic Disney World dining location — Casey's Corner. The restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A. is celebrating the festive season with the new Holiday Dinner Dog. The all-beef hot dog is topped with cranberry mustard, savory stuffing funnel cake and cheese curds.
This entree packs quite a variety of flavors and textures. The savory hot dog contrasts with the sweet funnel cake and the cranberry mustard and cheese curds bring it all together for a memorable meal! Disney even posted the recipe so you can make your own at home!
The holiday dinner hot dog is available Nov. 8 through Dec. 31 during regular park hours and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Christmas Wreath Doughnut — Magic Kingdom
How cute is this Christmas Wreath Doughnut? This delicious red velvet doughnut is topped with green buttercream and sprinkles. We really loved it! Spoons were available if wanting to eat with a little less of a mess, otherwise prepare for red and green fingers! (Or should we say, even greener frog fingers).
This treat is available at food carts near the castle hub. We found ours at the food kiosk near the entrance to Tomorrowland. Due to its location, it's the perfect treat to enjoy while waiting for the parade or castle stage show. It is available through Dec. 31 during regular park hours as well as during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights.
Mickey Mousse Ornament Treat — Magic Kingdom
Note that this item can only be found at the separately ticketed Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights between Nov. 8 to Dec. 22, 2022.
During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, be sure to head over to Main Street Bakery for the new Mickey Mousse Ornament Treat. How cute is this treat? Savor the gingerbread mousse with a crispy center and a spiced almond cake with brownie crumble.
The treat is exclusive to this ticketed event, so unfortunately, it is unavailable during regular park hours.
The Donut Box — EPCOT
The festivals at EPCOT always have the best menus, and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is no exception! Now through Dec. 30, enjoy more than 15 Holiday Kitchen kiosks celebrating festive food and drink from around the world.
The Donut Box is a holiday kitchen that never disappoints. Located near Test Track, it's the perfect place to start your dining around the world. There are four holiday options — Chocolate Peppermint Donut, Holiday Yeast Donut with vanilla icing and red and white sprinkles, Eggnog and Cream-filled Donut with cinnamon icing and crumbled gingersnap cookies and Croissant Donut with cinnamon-sugar.
While you can purchase each individually, we recommend getting the donut box from The Donut Box to get all four for a better deal. We split each of the donuts into fourths so we could try them all. Each has a unique flavor so it's hard to pick a favorite!
Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini — EPCOT
For the 21 and over frogs, we highly recommend the Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini from France! Located at the Le Marché de Noël Holiday Kitchen, the picturesque drink features Grey Goose La Vanille Vodka, vodka, chocolate milk and whipped cream. Who knew hot chocolate could get any better!
The France booth is always popular with wonderful offerings. We recommend pairing the drink with one of its delicious treats, such as the macaron lollipop!
Reindeer Mousse — Disney's Hollywood Studios
One of our favorite holiday food at Disney World is the new Reindeer Mousse from ABC Commissary at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Savor the spiced cherry-orange dark chocolate mousse, chocolate cake and gold chocolate cookie base with dark chocolate glaze and milk chocolate buttercream. Yum!
The holiday treat is available from Nov. 8 to Jan. 1, with the option of mobile ordering.
Candy Cane Milkshake — Disney's Hollywood Studios
Over at Hollywood Scoops on Sunset Boulevard, enjoy the specialty Candy Cane Milkshake — a peppermint ice cream shake topped with whipped cream, chocolate cake doughnut and candy cane sprinkles. That's right ... there's a whole doughnut on top of the shake! The milkshake is mainly vanilla with a hint of peppermint.
We enjoyed the festive drink while watching Sunset Greetings with projections on the Tower of Terror and even snowfall along Sunset Boulevard! The drink is available through Jan. 1.
Menagerie Cupcake — Disney's Animal Kingdom
One of our favorite aspects of the holidays at Animal Kingdom is the Merry Menagerie, the beautiful white-and-blue puppets. Penguins, arctic foxes, polar bears and more come to life and roam about Discovery Island.
After a visit with these adorable creatures, grab the Menagerie Cupcake from Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus, available from Dec. 1 to 30. Mobile order is available, which is especially recommended during busy times. We got ours quickly with mobile order from Flame Tree Barbecue, conveniently close to where the Merry Menagerie comes out!
The picturesque cupcake is gingerbread cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla frosting. We recommend eating with a fork or spoon, as the top layer is full of icing and sugar pieces. We liked the flavoring of the gingerbread and cream cheese, plus the chocolate polar bear piece.
Holiday Mickey Mousse — Disney Springs
Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs is known for its delicious and "Instagram-able" desserts. It has four new holiday treats sure to delight, now through Dec. 30. We loved the new Holiday Mickey Mousse with chocolate chiffon cake, white and dark chocolate mousse and white chocolate crisp pearls. We thoroughly enjoyed the mix of chocolate flavors. Though small in size, the petite cakes are very filling, so we suggest splitting one between two people if eating a lot of sweets!
Frozen Hot Chocolate with Peppermint Soft Serve — Disney Springs
Swirls on the Water debuted in 2022 in the Marketplace and typically offers a wide variety of Dole Whip products. Yes, please! For the holidays (now through Dec. 30), they have some tasty festive offerings. We tried the new Frozen Hot Chocolate with peppermint soft-serve and white chocolate peppermint bark.
Now, frozen hot chocolate just sounds like a fancy way of saying a chocolate milkshake, right? Well, somehow it really captures the flavor of hot cocoa but in frozen form. We enjoyed the mix of chocolate and peppermint flavors. Be warned, though — have lots and lots of napkins ready as this treat gets very messy!
We also recommend the Peppermint Chocolate Bark Soft-serve Nachos with peppermint soft-serve, chocolate soft-serve and waffle chips topped with whipped cream, M&M’s chocolate candies and chocolate sauce. Yum!
