This package is exclusively available online.
  • 3-Day Photo Package: This option allows up to three consecutive days of photos in all three parks beginning on the day you pick up your My Universal Photos lanyard and card. You also receive one free 5×7 print in a folder, one free 4×6 print valid in-park or online, $5 5x7 or $10 8x10 prints at participating My Universal Photos locations and $2 4x6 prints at participating My Universal Photos locations. This package also includes unlimited digital downloads of your photos, a My Universal Photos-themed lanyard and card and discounts on photo gift products both in-park or online. When purchasing this package online, you save $10 versus purchasing it in the park.
  • 1-Day Photo Package at Volcano Bay: If you’re just looking for a slice of Waturi paradise, this package is for you. With your one day of photos at Universal’s Volcano Bay, you get unlimited digital downloads. When purchasing this package online, you save $10 versus purchasing it in the park.

Once you've ordered your package, bring your confirmation email to either a will-call window at the front gate, On Location at Universal Studios in Production Central, DeFoto's Expedition Photography at Islands of Adventure in the Port of Entry or Waturi Marketplace or Krakatoa Katy's at Volcano Bay. A team member will distribute your lanyard and photo card and explain where all of the participating photo locations are in the respective park. For reference, the locations at Universal Studios are:

  • On Location (park entrance photos)
  • E.T.'s Toy Closet & Photo Spot (photo-ops with E.T.)
  • MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack (ride photo)
  • Revenge of the Mummy (ride photo)
  • Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (ride photo)
  • Meet The TRANSFORMERS (character meet-and-greet across from TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D)
  • Back to the Future Selfie-Post (selfie station next to the famous DeLorean at the intersection of Springfield and Woody Woodpecker's KidZone)

Whenever you see a professional photographer, just hand them your photo card and they'll scan it. If you want to keep a ride photo, after the team member pulls up your photo or when you locate it at a kiosk, scan your card to save it. If you're at a selfie station, scan your card, stand where directed and smile!

How do we get our photo from Hagrid's using My Universal Photos card, is there a kiosk?

May 8, 2023 at 3:02 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Wendy!

As you exit from the ride, there will be a kiosk for ride photos on your right before you re-enter Hogsmeade, and a team member will scan your card.

Is there anyway to purchase pictures days after?

Apr 26, 2023 at 10:06 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Linda!

You would need to purchase individual photos or a photo package while you're at the park. Photos are not kept unless they're tied to a My Universal Photos account.

When looking to purchase the photo pass at universal, it says that the price is per card. Is there a way to get additional cards for the same account without purchasing additional packages? Is there a fee for additional cards on the same package?

Jan 24, 2023 at 8:31 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Michelle!

Yes, when you go to activate your account at the park, you can request additional cards at no extra cost for the same account. (If you're wanting photos on separate accounts, that's when you would need to purchase an additional package.)

Hi there,

Planning a 5 day trip to Universal but only visiting parks for 3 days. Will the 3-day photo package be enough for the three days we're visiting parks (if we don't visit on consecutive days)?

Jan 3, 2023 at 2:11 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Valerie!

The 3-day photo package only covers up to three consecutive days, so if you aren't visiting on consecutive days, then it may not cover all three days of your visit.

Question - if we buy a three day package and our family splits up in the park, can we collect temporary photo cards when we take pictures with the characters and then add those to our account later (enabling us to get ride photos from part of our group while the little kids go get character pics the way you would with a disney photopass)

Jan 3, 2023 at 2:07 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Lauren!

There are no temporary cards at each photo location, but when you activate the photo package, you can request multiple cards to carry around if your group is planning to split up!

Hey! I'm going to Universal Orlando here in a few weeks, and I plan on proposing to my girlfriend. Will there be a photographer near the "The Adventure Begins..." sign at Islands of Adventure? Or maybe near the castle?

Nov 16, 2022 at 9:46 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Trae!

First of all, congratulations in advance! Generally, there is a photographer stationed right at the entrance near the "The Adventure Begins" archway. As for Hogwarts Castle, we occasionally see a photographer there, but it's not always guaranteed.

Got a 14 day ticket. Is there a pass that might cover photos for this duration or even 7 days? We are planning to go at least 4 or 5 times (not doing Disney this time).

Jun 27, 2022 at 2:37 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Ian!

The longest option is the 3-Day package, so for covering your longer visit, we'd recommend a 3-Day + 1-Day package (if you only want it for four days) or two 3-Day packages (to cover six days).

Hoppy planning!
