Truly Useful Tips to Save on Disney World Tickets

Inside This Post Inside This Post

You frog fans know we've been selling Walt Disney World tickets for over 20 years. As the largest authorized seller, we can also legitimately save you a bundle on those tickets. We offer everyday savings, which are clearly listed on our Walt Disney World ticket page, and they toadally add up! A family of four could save over $300 on four days at Walt Disney World by purchasing tickets through us. That's a whole lot of green, even for us frogs! But there are even more ways to save on Disney World tickets if you follow our trusted tips.

Save Money on Disney World Tickets - Partner Statue

We'll hop into the specifics below, but here is a summary of the best ways to save on Disney World tickets.

  • Purchase your tickets in advance through Undercover Tourist.
  • Bundle your Disney World hotel and tickets and save even more through Undercover Tourist.
  • Look for limited-time promos and hot deals.
  • Stay for more days.
  • Stick with one park per day.
  • Pick the cheapest start dates.
  • Consider whether you want to visit the parks on arrival and departure days.
  • Take your kids before they turn 3.
  • Consider Special Event and After Hours tickets.
  • Take advantage of Florida resident tickets.
  • See if you qualify for extra discounts.
  • Make sure you're including tax.

Why Buy Discount Disney World Tickets Through Undercover Tourist

Since 2000, we've created thousands of hoppy customers by providing authentic attraction tickets at discounted prices, as well as insider planning tips and excellent customer service. After the closing of the parks during COVID-19, we went above and beyond working overtime to take care of customers needing refunds during an unprecedented time. We are proud of the way we took care of our customers during Hurricane Ian, as well.

Our discount rates, free shipping and flexible refund policies (365 days from the date of purchase, to be exact!) have made us the trusted name in attraction tickets. When you purchase Disney World tickets through Undercover Tourist, you have peace of mind, because we offer the same exact tickets as Disney World for less. You can link your tickets in My Disney Experience and book your park reservation right away.

Disney World now requires you to pick a start date for your visit, and dates are priced according to popularity. Rest assured, you have the exact same flexibility when booking through Undercover Tourist. In general, you may modify any Disney World start date through the My Disney Experience app. If there is a price increase to move to a new date, you would just pay the difference.

Unused tickets, even if they are expired tickets, do not lose their value. The cost of these tickets can be applied to new tickets.

Save on Disney World Tickets - Celebration Cavalcade

You can feel confident buying through us because …

  • We’ve been an authorized Walt Disney World ticket seller for over 20 years.
  • You can see current park availability when purchasing.
  • You pay what you see! No hidden fees (and tax included).
  • We offer 365-day returns for Walt Disney World theme park tickets, with friendly, knowledgeable agents.
  • Our customer service agents will take care of you, as Undercover Tourist takes care of them.
  • You have access to additional discounts when bundling your Walt Disney World tickets with Universal Orlando or SeaWorld tickets, which can be stacked with even bigger discounts when bundling select hotels and car rentals.
  • We have thousands of hoppy customers with positive reviews.

Where to Buy the Cheapest Disney World Tickets

It's very important to purchase through an authorized seller like Undercover Tourist. This is important because when you need support, Disney will only work directly with authorized sellers. But there are only a handful of legitimate third-party sellers such as Undercover Tourist. Many third-party sellers, including those found on eBay and Craigslist, are often scams. Selling partially used tickets is illegal. Disney uses fingerprinting to assign tickets, so when a person uses a Disney theme park ticket once, admission is tied to that person. The ticket cannot be transferred to anyone else. If the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Purchase Your Tickets Online in Advance Through Undercover Tourist

This should go without saying, but buy your tickets online and in advance. If you can, try to avoid buying tickets at the gate, where prices are often the highest (plus, it just takes extra time).

Bundle Your Disney World Vacation and Save Even More Through Undercover Tourist

You can often save up to 30 percent off your Disney World vacation when you bundle your hotel stay, tickets and rental car. Keep an eye out for special hotel offers to deepen your savings!

Look for Limited-Time and Extra-Day FREE Promos

Typically, Undercover Tourist offers limited-time discounts and extra-day free promos, so you can stretch out the fun for less cost.

Stay Longer

If you're looking for the biggest per-day savings, look for the seven-, eight-, nine- and 10-day tickets. A 10-Day Disney Theme Park Base Ticket currently runs for $615.47 through Undercover Tourist, which works out to $62 a day, versus a 1-Day Disney Theme Park Base Ticket, which starts at $108.07.

Stick with One Park Per Day

Park Hoppers are a popular option because they allow guests to hop among the parks on any given day. While they offer the most flexibility, they also come with a much bigger price tag. And you can't hop for just a day on a multi-day ticket. You must either hop or not. With so much to do around the resort, it's easier than ever to fill your day without having to hop from park to park.

Check Your Start Date

Disney requires you to pick a start date for your visit to the theme parks and to make a park reservation. If you're looking for the cheapest Disney tickets, check our calendar to see the rates by date (which you can see on our availability calendar). And keep in mind that start-date prices fluctuate the most on one-day tickets. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays often see higher prices. January, February and September historically offer the cheapest prices on Disney tickets.

Consider Whether You Want to Visit the Parks on Arrival and Departure Days

While dropping the luggage and heading straight to the parks sounds like the perfect way to kick off your party, depending on when you arrive or depart, it can actually mean less bang for your buck. We often kick off our first day at the pool in the afternoon and then head to Disney Springs for dinner. Likewise, we often spend our last day at Disney Springs, because inevitably we're looking for that last souvenir we have yet purchased. (And Disney Springs just keeps expanding, including its newest offerings for you, sweet tooths — Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, Gideon's Bakehouse and the M&Ms Store!)

Take Your Kids Before They Turn 3

Children under age 3 are free, so many parents will plan visits before that big day.

Consider Special Event and After Hours Tickets

Save on Disney World Tickets — Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are two of the most popular events at Disney World. They are also separately ticketed events. While the parties typically don't start until later in the evening, guests with tickets usually can enter Magic Kingdom starting at 4 p.m. Disney After Hours events also give guests access to the parks past closing time, meaning shorter wait times and fewer crowds.

Take Advantage of Florida Resident Tickets

Florida residents can save even more than out-of-state visitors with Florida resident tickets. Additionally, a couple of times a year Disney will offer additional promos for Florida residents that will allow them to save even more. Discounts on one- and two-day tickets are rare. If you find these, snag them while you can!

Currently, there's an offer for 2-Day and 3-Day Florida Resident tickets, available for Base, Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus and Water Park & Sports options. The tickets are valid for visits now through March 15, 2024, and can be used on non-consecutive days. Theme park reservations are required, as well as proof of Florida residency upon redemption.

See if You Qualify for Extra Discounts

If you're a veteran or active duty service member, you can often buy discount Disney World tickets at the nearest base.

Make Sure You're Including Tax

When comparing Undercover Tourist against official prices, make sure you're including the cost with tax so that you have the full picture.

Can I pick a start date for a 2 day ticket that’s earlier than I intend to go to the parks as it’s cheaper ? Or do I have to go to a park on the first day of the 4 day period?
