As a jovial organ melody begins, Dumbo gracefully lifts off from the ground and magically begins to fly round and round above a dancing water fountain. Feel the wind race across your face as faithful friend Timothy Q. Mouse—resting on a decorative hot-air balloon in the center of what looks to be a vintage circus-themed toy—directs the action with help from his “magic” feather.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a mid-way style ride located in Fantasyland at Disneyland® Park. The duration of the ride is 2 minutes. Each Dumbo-themed gondola seats two people, with the smaller rider sitting on the inside. Guests must transfer from their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to board the vehicle. For wheelchair access, enter through the designated gate across from King Arthur Carrousel and contact a Cast Member for boarding instructions.
Visit Dumbo the Flying Elephant early in the morning or during a parade for the shortest wait times.
Consider skipping this ride if you're on a tight schedule and don't have young tadpoles with you; it loads very slowly.
Snap a picture of a loved one with the replica of a Dumbo gondola located just behind the main attraction.
The band organ located under the circus tent behind Dumbo the Flying Elephant was built by Gavioli in 1915. Faithfully recreating the musical sounds of several different instruments, this authentic fairground organ plays a merry collection of favorite Disney tunes during your flight.
During your aerial adventure, direct Dumbo to soar skyward or fly low by moving the lever inside the Dumbo-themed gondola.
