So you woke up early to rope drop at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. What's your first stop? For many, picking up a cup of joe is essential to fueling up for the rest of the day. Or maybe you need an afternoon boost or something to warm you up at night. Where can you find Disneyland coffee, including all the fun iced coffees in the park? Today, we are covering all the places to find coffee in Disneyland Resort and calling out a few froggy favorites. (After all, this is the kind of research we love to do!) Let's hop into all the spots where you can catch your Disneyland coffee buzz. Let's espress-go!
Regular Disneyland Coffee
You can get your basic regular or decaf coffee at most Disneyland quick-service and table-service restaurants. For quick-service locations, just go to mobile order in the Disneyland app and you can have coffee or hot tea in your hand within minutes.
A few restaurants offer a bigger coffee selection with more caffeinated drinks:
- Jolly Holiday Cafe serves espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, caffe mochas, caramel macchiatos and a Chimney Sweep Cold Brew.
- Schmoozies! has espresso, lattes, Caffe Americanos, coffee drinks with liqueur and even an Affogato.
- Smokejumpers also offers a chocolate marshmallow Breakfast Cold Brew for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Pym's Test Kitchen offers seasonal Cold Brews and Nitro Cold Brew.
- Maurice's Treats has Nitro Cold Brew and Mocha Nitro Cold Brew (along with some of our favorite Disneyland snacks, BTW).
Starbucks and Joffrey's Coffee at Disneyland Resort
There are three Starbucks locations at Disneyland. One Starbucks in Downtown Disney and one somewhat hidden Starbucks inside each park. Plus, the Cappuccino Cart serves Joffrey's Coffee items.
The in-park Starbucks works a little differently from the Downtown Disney location. In the parks, you can use the Starbucks rewards app and gift cards to pay for drinks, food and merchandise, but you cannot redeem free beverages. You can get a Magic Key discount at Starbucks inside the parks, but not at the Downtown Disney location. At Downtown Disney, you can order ahead with the Starbucks app and redeem rewards.
Here are the coffee shops inside the Disneyland theme parks.
Market House — Disneyland Park
Located on Main Street U.S.A., this Starbucks location accepts Magic Key discounts but does not accept mobile orders. Be prepared: the lines can get pretty long here. The menu is like a typical Starbucks with drinks, pastries and some Disney snacks available. Additionally, you might uncover a secret Disney drink here! There are some limited tables inside this cozy dining space and outside in the alley.
Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe — Disney California Adventure
Located at Carthay Circle next to Clarabelle's, this Starbucks location accepts Magic Key discounts but not mobile orders. The menu is like a typical Starbucks with some Disney snacks and treats available. (We sometimes grab a quick breakfast here.) This location has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. In fact, it is a great spot to grab a snack and a drink and chill out in one of the booths during the hotter months.
Cappuccino Cart — Disney California Adventure
Joffrey's is the official Disneyland coffee, and this Joffrey's outdoor stand (with mobile order) is right at the entrance to Pixar Pier and San Fransokyo Square. You can get a variety of coffee drinks here, both hot and cold, including coffee with liqueur, flavor shots or seasonal drinks. This is also a great place to pick up a snack, dessert or even a burrito (either at breakfast or throughout the day).
Iced Coffee at Disneyland Resort
OK, you may have noticed that flavored iced coffees are a pretty big deal at Disneyland. In addition to year-round options, there are seasonal options you can taste ... and they make a great way to cool off in the warm weather. We did our coffee research with some hoppin' frogs who really love regular coffee and other frogs who enjoy a sweeter iced coffee drink. And we were toadally surprised that there were about four froggy favorites that rose to the top. Keep in mind that since the drinks do change all the time, some drinks may no longer be there. But chances are they've been replaced with something equally fun and flavorful.
Here are our top froggy-favorite coffees in Disneyland:
1. Cold Brew Black Caf topped with Sweet Cream Cheese and Chocolate Puffs at Docking Bay 7 at Disneyland in Galaxy's Edge. It's a thing of beauty, really. And who doesn't go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs?
2. Iced Caramel Macchiato at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park. Classic, elegant and so tasty.
3. Seasonal Cold Brew at Pym's Test Kitchen in Disney California Adventure. These switch around pretty frequently but are always so good. Our favorite is the Experiment 7290: Cookies & Cream Cold Brew.
4. Taverne Cold Brew with caramel, vanilla and cinnamon cold brew with cream at Red Rose Taverne.
Here are some other options (in no particular order), as everyone has different tastes:
- Chimney Sweep Cold Brew with hickory-smoke syrup, chocolate & caramel sauces, cream and smoked salt-sugar sprinkle at Jolly Holiday Cafe.
- Cold Brew — Joffrey's Chicory Cold Brew at Tiana's Palace.
- Seasonal Cold Brew — at Cafe Daisy in Toontown.
- Adventure is Out There! Cold Brew — dark chocolate cold brew with butterscotch topper and a wafer cookie at Troubadour Taverne.
- Breakfast Cold Brew — Chocolate cold brew, toasted marshmallow foam and cocoa crisped rice cereal (also comes with Baileys Irish Cream) at Smokejumpers Grill (now open for breakfast). Are you catching on to the cereal trend for the Disneyland coffee toppers? No complaints here.
- Yuzu Lemonade Coffee — yuzu lemonade layered with cold brew coffee at Aunt Cass Cafe. San Fransokyo Square is our newest favorite dining spot!
- Pumpkin King Cold Brew (seasonal) — This pumpkin creme brûlée cold brew with pumpkin spiced creamer, whipped cream, toffee chips and a little edible Jack Skellington is to die for. You can pick it up at Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square for a limited time!
Keep in mind that Disneyland switches out drinks and flavors all the time. Look for special coffee flavors and iced coffee during events and at festival booths during holidays and festivals. I'm still dreaming about the Churro Toffee Cold Brew Latte at one of the Festival of the Holidays booths last year and the Chocolate Cinnamon Comet Cold Brew from Galactic Grill. (It had a churro sticking out of it!) I suppose you can tell that I am on Team Sweet!
Coffee at Disneyland Resort Hotels
If you hoppen to be staying at one of the on-site Disneyland hotels, you may be wondering where to get coffee at Disneyland before you get to the parks (or on a non-park day). Most table-service restaurants have coffee. Here are some quick-service options as well:
