What Is Celestial Park?
No matter where your story takes you, you'll begin by stepping through the Emerald Gate and the Chronos device at the entrance to Epic Universe. What is Chronos, you may ask? Well, according to the executive producer for Celestial Park, Adam Rivest, it's the "giant machine used to harness the energy of the Universe that powers all of Celestial Park," allowing you to access other worlds. You can download our Celestial Park infographic here!
Full of luscious living gardens, cascading waterfalls and meandering pathways, Celestial Park was lovingly designed to "put the 'park' back in 'theme park'," says Rivest. Not only are you surrounded by mystical portals that transport you to different worlds, but also by awe-inspiring architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements — including the towering majestic of Apollo, the god of the sun, and Luna, the goddess of the moon, at opposing ends of the world. Think of this as the place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the epic worlds around you.
Here, you can find plenty of epic entertainment, including various fountain shows throughout Celestial Park's seven serene acres of water where a multitude of lively fountains sway, dance and even reach heights up to 135 feet in the air to music and interactive lighting from sun up to sun down. Smaller shows take place every hour but the nighttime one celebrating all four portals takes place at park close each night.
Every day, from 3:45 to 8:15 p.m., the Velvet Starship Band takes the Hemisphere Stage several times a day between Starbucks Coffee and Frosty Moon. Grab a shaded table and relax or rock out on the dance floor as they jam out to beloved tunes such as "Counting Stars," "Viva La Vida," "Sunday Morning," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and so much more.
For Epic Universe's one year anniversary, a beary special meet-and-greet has arrived in Celestial Park. Everyone's favorite furry voyager, Captain Cacao, has taken a break from sailing the stars, searching for sweet treats, and has docked his moonship for a spell. You can now meet the adventurous captain every day in between Pizza Moon and The Oak & Star Tavern. While he doesn't sign autographs, he does have a personal stamp for you to take home! Just ask one of his escorts about it during your meet.
Best of all, as you exit back through the park at the end of the day, you're met with a breathtaking sight as the entire area illuminates like the starry night sky.
You can explore the cosmic heart of this thrilling new theme park on the Epic Universe map, now available on the Universal Orlando app!

Celestial Park Rides
From family-friendly to fast and furious (no, not that one), Celestial Park is home to three different attractions that frogs of all ages are sure to love!
Stardust Racers
Designed to feel like an old wooden coaster, Stardust Racers is a 1.8-mile, side-by-side race between two comets to see who gets to the end first. Prepare to rise up in your seat as you reach speeds up to 62 miles per hour and heights up to 133 feet on this dual-launch coaster.
Described as "Epic Universe's most thrilling coaster experience," Stardust Racers features unique maneuvers, such as the "Celestial Spin," in which the two coaster vehicles perform an inverted crisscross while speeding through the air, oh ... and no break zones. Adorned with hundreds of points of light, this coaster will look like shooting comets racing across the sky come nightfall. (PS: If you consider yourself a Universal fan, you might want to keep an eye on the back of each coaster vehicle for an "outatime" Easter egg!)
We highly recommend leaving this one until the end of the night when it's dark outside. There's nothing like going up those lift hills and seeing all the lights from the portals converging in the sky — as well as seeing the entire park lit up! The yellow track has breathtaking views of Berk, while the green side is bit more intense (as it goes through the Celestial Spin first). Pick your poison and hop over to our stellar guide to Stardust Racers for everything you need to know about this killer coaster.
Constellation Carousel
The grand centerpiece of Celestial Park, Constellation Carousel takes explorers of all ages on a fantastical spin through the constellations. Board a celestial creature and prepare to glide forward, backward and even 360 degrees around the Milky Way on "the most enchanting carousel ever made," according to Gabriela Lander, director of Facility Design for Universal Creative. Covered in hundreds of points of starlight, this effortlessly choreographed dance of music and starlight creates a breathtaking cosmic ambiance that redefines the traditional carousels of our childhood. We love that there's different music each time it starts up again so the vibes are always unique!
We recommend picking a creature within one of the three circles on the floor of the carousel (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it) for the most out-of-this-world experience.
Astronomica
A wet-play area featuring crystal blue fountains that dance around guests, Astronomica serves as a giant compass rose to the many wondrous worlds of Epic Universe. Be sure to return at night as this interactive attraction comes alive with light, color and music!
