Overview of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic
Upon entering through the most magical portal in Epic Universe, you'll arrive at a Muggle park in 1920s Paris. From there, you'll pass under the towering Phoenix Arch and enter Place Cachée, a hidden, bustling shopping district lined with Haussmannian buildings, shops, sidewalk cafés and historic Parisian domes rising in the distance inspired by "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald." (The shortest building here is taller than the tallest building in Diagon Alley!) The majestic grandeur and enchanting ambiance of the city are amplified by French conversations you might overhear hoppening between storekeepers and clients and juicy wizard gossip making its way through the streets.
The Universal production team worked alongside production designers of the films to create an unmatched level of immersion and attention to detail fans have come to expect from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — but with an all-new Parisian twist.

Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
The infamous Dolores Umbridge awaits her trial at the British Ministry of Magic for her crimes against Muggle-borns. On the day of her hearing, she escapes with Death Eaters Yaxley, Macnair and the Carrows. It's up to you, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Umbridge's house-elf Higgledy to stop her from finding a Time-Turner in the Department of Mysteries and restoring Voldemort's reign. Travel through the Ministry's many departments, including the Magical Archives and the Department of Magical Creatures. Hop here for more info about Battle at the Ministry.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry was utilizing a virtual queue during Epic Universe previews. However, during the final weekend of previews and on opening day, the attraction is available using the standby line. We'll be sure to keep this post and our Virtual Line post updated with the latest info.
Entertainment Experiences in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic
If there's one thing you should expect in the Wizarding World, it's magic. From a first-of-its-kind live show to inspiring wand wizardry, there are spell-binding experiences everywhere you turn.
Le Cirque Arcanus
Around Place Cachée, you'll find a series of banners advertising Le Cirque Arcanus, once the premier showcase of magical creatures from around the globe. Lately, the show has fallen out of favor, but Ringmaster Skender has a plan. He's stolen the famed suitcase of Newt Scamander and is intent on using the beasts who reside within to bring the circus back to its glory days.
As you make your way to the main stage, you'll stroll past the many sideshow booths showcasing the strange and unusual acts of Le Cirque Arcanus. Eventually, you'll meet up with Gwenlyn, a squib and assistant to Skender, who will seek your help to rescue the creatures before they end up in the greedy ringmaster's hands forever.
The first fully immersive in-world theatrical experience for the Wizarding World globally (and the most technically complex), Le Cirque Arcanus will feature a combination of live performers, such as aerial artists, puppets and special effects to bring you on a mind-blowing journey of excitement, surprises and compassion. Be prepared to encounter fantastic beasts you remember from the films, such as a Demiguise, Zouwu, Kelpi and Mooncalves ... and even the famous magizoologist himself.
Character Interactions
This concealed pocket of Paris is populated with locals and tourists alike. While exploring Place Cachée, you'll encounter other visitors, officials and residents from the Wizarding World, including a Beauxbatons Academy of Magic student alongside exchange students from the Hogwarts and Ilvermorny Schools of Witchcraft and Wizardry (carrying The Monster Book of Monsters, which you'll be able to look inside for the very first time!) and an Auror from the Ministère des Affaires Magiques de la France who roams the streets inquiring of suspicious characters.
Hear that music in the air? Be on the lookout for a trio of street musicians — with a wizarding twist — who travel with an adorable, wide-eyed, furry puffskein named Plume whom, if you're lucky, you'll have the pleasure of interacting with!
That's not all, though! Magical creatures have found their way into shop windows, nooks and crannies ... just waiting for you to hoppen upon them. Be on the lookout for a Niffler who will look you straight in the eye as he indiscreetly shoves a gold bar into his pouch. (Overall, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic contains some of the smallest animated figures Universal Creative has ever developed, as well as some of the largest.)
Environmental Interactions
One of the Wizarding World's most charming qualities is the sheer breadth of its vitality. In true wizard fashion, inanimate objects seemingly come to life and it's no different in Place Cachée. For the first time ever in the Wizarding World, you'll be able to interact with various talking portraits and receive real, personalized replies.
Also, it should go without saying that you'll be able to sharpen your spell-casting skills with amazing new interactive wand experiences as you explore the streets of wizarding Paris. Stop by the storefront windows, uncover enchanted objects and cast spells to interact with fantastic beasts, such as Bowtruckles, and reveal hidden surprises.

From wands to apparel to sweet treats, the shops and stores of Place Cachée have quite a magical inventory.
Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique
If you're planning on casting spells in the streets of Place Cachée, you've come to the right place. The premier Parisian wand shop, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique is where you'll find delicately crafted, exquisite wands designed by esteemed artisan wandmaker Cosme Acajor herself — whose acquaintance you'll have the honor of making. Specializing in different wand cores than her British wand master counterparts, Acajor considers her couture-influenced wands as works of art and only sells products of the highest quality. (But don't worry! You'll also find plenty of popular British wand imports here, as well.)
As opposed to the haphazard teetering piles Ollivanders Wand Shop is known for, Acajor's establishment has a more refined interior befitting of her own elegance. Her inventory is neatly stacked in her signature triangular boxes and illuminated by a wondrous chandelier crafted with over eight hundred crystal wands and adorned with brass Pixies. Truly a sight to behold.
