Our Elite Guide to the Universal Orlando VIP Tour Experience

Inside This Post

Roll out the red carpet because the hottest Hollywood star has arrived at Universal Orlando Resort — YOU! Froggy friends, allow me to introduce you to the Universal Orlando VIP Tour Experience. A guided tour that grants you priority access, behind-the-scenes exclusives, reserved seating and so much more, this once-in-a-lifetime experience will have you feeling like an A-list celebrity. Stop the presses because we have all the info you need to know about this enticing add-on!

Universal Orlando VIP Tour - Entrance

What's Included in the Universal Orlando VIP Tour

There are several different VIP experiences at Universal Orlando and each allow up to six guests (with multiple parties combined together). The first is a 2-Park 1-Day VIP Experience, which lasts seven hours and grants you priority entrance at select participating rides and attractions at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. The second is a 1-Park 1-Day VIP Experience, which lasts four hours and grants you priority entrance at select participating rides and attractions at either Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure. The third is the 1-Park 1-Day VIP Experience - Universal Epic Universe, which lasts five hours and grants you priority entrance at select participating rides and attractions at Universal Orlando's newest theme park.

Priority Access

Universal Orlando VIP Tour - Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

You can get on rides even faster than using Universal Express? Yup! Priority access means skipping the queues and pre-shows and being the very next frog to hop on any given attraction. That INCLUDES Pteranodon Flyers (if you have tadpoles in your party you can ride with) and Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure and Dragon Racer's Rally at Epic Universe — all of which are not included with Universal Express.

Behind-The-Scenes Experiences (Subject to Availability)

Universal Orlando VIP Tour - Men In Black Alien Attack

Undoubtedly, my favorite feature of a Universal Orlando VIP Tour, the behind-the-scenes experiences are truly what make this purchase worthwhile. Have you ever wanted to walk below a coaster track and see the hidden remains of a former attraction? Witness how a ride vehicle is tested? Check out a forbidden section of a queue and explore some frogtastic Easter eggs? Go inside the sound stages and production offices backstage? You can do all of this and more on your Universal Islands of Adventure and/or Universal Studios Florida OR separate Universal Epic Universe VIP Tour!

Universal Express & Discounts on Dining and Merchandise

Crêpe Parisienne at Café L'air De La Sirene

When your VIP experience comes to an end, be sure to keep your VIP Experience commemorative lanyard and credential. It serves as an Express Pass so you can continue bypassing the standby queues at almost every ride for the rest of the day. Additionally, it grants you discounts at select merchandise locations in the theme parks and Universal CityWalk!

Valet Parking

After a long park day, the walk back to your car can be a little daunting for your froggy legs. Bypass the moving walkways, the security hub and even the long lines at the parking plaza by utilizing the valet entrance! One valet parking pass is issued to your Universal Orlando VIP Tour group. It's only valid for one vehicle, based on availability.

Meals (2-Park, 1-Day Tours Only)

Universal Orlando VIP Tour - Cafe La Bamba

Froget everything you thought you knew about theme park buffets. If you've purchased a 2-Park, 1-Day Tour, start your day with a delicious, fresh and hot buffet-style breakfast at Cafe La Bamba in Universal Studios Florida that includes eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, roasted potatoes, a plethora of pastries, yogurt, assorted fruits, milk, juices, coffee and bottled water. Breakfast is included for tours starting at or before 11 a.m., lasts up to 30 minutes and counts toward your tour's total allotted time. Additionally, the 2-Park, 1-Day Tour includes a one-hour lunch at a quick-service or full-service restaurant, selected by the VIP Operations Team, which is also counted toward your tour's total allotted time.

Brûlée Hawaiian Mango Bread at The Oak & Star Tavern

For the 1-Park, 1-Day Tour at Universal Epic Universe, you also get to fuel up with breakfast at The Oak & Star Tavern that lasts up to 30 minutes and counts toward your tour's total allotted time.

Guests on a 1-Park, 1-Day Tour at Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure, however, do not receive a meal.

How to Purchase a Universal Orlando VIP Tour Ticket

Universal Orlando VIP Tour - Hagrid's Hut

Sound appealing? Save some green on a 2-Park 1-Day VIP Experience when you purchase your Universal Orlando VIP Tour through Undercover Tourist! Separate Park-to-Park admission is not included but is required. Undercover Tourist also offers the 1-Park 1-Day VIP Experience Ticket to Universal Epic Universe, which is backed by our 365-Day Refund Policy! Separate theme park admission to Universal Epic Universe is not included, required and must be valid for the same calendar day and to the same theme park as the tour ticket.

The 1-Park Universal Islands of Adventure VIP Tour and the 1-Park Universal Studios Florida VIP Tour are available for purchase on the Universal Orlando website. Separate theme park admission is also not included, required and must be valid for the same calendar day and to the same park as your tour ticket.

If your party has more than six frogs, Universal will separate you into different tour groups. Any tadpole under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Certain bilingual guides may be available, but you must request them at the time of booking.

Check in at the Universal Studios Florida VIP Lobby, located near the main entrance to the park, to the left of the Guest Services windows. Check-ins begin at the time stated on the ticket.

Epic Universe - VIP Entrance

At Universal Epic Universe, the VIP Entrance is on the right side when you enter the park.

What to Consider Before Booking a Universal Orlando VIP Tour

Universal Orlando VIP Tour - VelociCoaster

There's no denying that a Universal Orlando VIP Tour is definitely a splurge (perhaps for a special occasion such as a birthday?). Of course, you need to consider what makes the most sense for your family and for your budget. However, not only do you get front-of-the-line access, but you also get tasty meals (if you choose a 2-park VIP experience or a 1-park VIP experience at Epic Universe), discounts you'd only be able to take advantage of with an annual pass, parking, unparalleled behind-the-scenes experiences AND insider information from your very own knowledgeable and friendly VIP tour guide! If all of that is worthwhile to you, then purchasing an Islands of Adventure and/or Universal Studios OR Epic Universe VIP Tour is a no-brainer. Universal Orlando VIP experiences truly do make you feel like Hollywood royalty!

VIP Experience versus Private VIP Experience

Hiccup and Toothless in The Untrainable Dragon

Right now, you can Buy 3 Days and Get 2 Days FREE at Universal Orlando Resort (including Epic Universe!)! Valid for visits through Dec. 16, 2026, excluding blockout dates.

If you want your VIP Tour to feel even more exclusive, you can upgrade to a Private VIP Experience, available at all three theme parks! On this all-day tour, your private group will be able to build your own itinerary and experience the parks the way you want with your guide's undivided attention. Enjoy all the perks and benefits of a normal Universal Orlando VIP Tour, PLUS reserved seating at select shows (excluding Mardi Gras concerts) and the ability to sample many of Universal's most popular dishes with a breakfast, a buffet style lunch at Cafe La Bamba or lunch at a venue selected by the VIP Operations Team and a full-service dinner at one of the resort's award-winning restaurants. You'll also receive a My Universal Photos 3-Day Photo Package, which starts on the first day of the tour. Additionally, you'll receive unlimited front-of-the-line access to all participating rides and attractions with Universal Express Unlimited — whereas non-private VIP tours offer standard Universal Express.

Private VIP Experiences are available for parties of up to five guests (or a maximum of 12 with an Add-On Upgrade). You can book from the following options:

  • 1-Park, 1-Day Private Tour
  • 2-Park, 1-Day Private Tour
  • 2-Park, 2-Day Private Tour
  • 3-Park, 2-Day Private Tour
  • 3-Park, 3-Day Private Tour

To book a Private VIP Tour, call (866) 346-9350, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

We have a VIP coming up, arrival time 9:30. I am just confused about logistics. We check in at 9:30, but when do we get there for breakfast? I see on the map the breakfast restaurant is in the middle of the park. Does breakfast happen while our tour clock is running?

Hi Butch!

You can save by booking the 2-Park, 1-Day VIP Experience ticket through Undercover Tourist (it's currently the only VIP option we offer). Our prices start at $248 per person — however, it will depend on the date you select. Overall, the VIP Tour prices vary depending on the date, so that's why we don't specifically state them in the post, as it changes often. If you wish to book through Universal, the normal VIP Tour prices start at $259.99 per person, but if you're interested in the Private VIP Tour Experience, you'll need to call Universal directly at (866) 346-9350 for more details.

Do you sell the private VIP tickets or is that only through Universal direct? Is the 2-park 1-Day VIP experience on your website the private VIP tour? Thanks

Hi Edgar!

We do not sell any of the My Universal Photos packages, so you would need to purchase directly from Universal. Note that the My Universal Photos 3-Day Photo Package is included with a Private VIP Tour Experience (starts on the first day of the tour).

We are coming to USO 12/21. We have been to the parks before, so we are trying to do both parks in one day. Is it possible to do both parks AND the VIP tour, or should we just stick with the Express pass for the sake of time?

FrogBlog Says...

Hi Jackie!

It would be possible to do both parks and a VIP Tour in a day, as the 2-Park, 1-Day VIP Tour would give you front-of-the-line access to any attractions you do during the tour. And then once your tour has finished, your VIP lanyard gives you Unlimited Express access for any remaining time left in case there are any attractions that you don't get to.

Hi we are going to USO on 10/21. Do you think it is needed for wait times to do the VIP or could we be ok with just the express unlimited at the time of year? We have 2 kids 6 & 9 and want to get the most out of time.

Hi Katherine!

At that time of year, we do think you'd be OK with just Express Unlimited — though if a VIP Tour is within budget and you want to splurge, we'd recommend it to maximize the most time and enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences!

We've got our VIP ticket all secured and are excited to be here in 6/16. Quick question, for the valet parking, just show up and show the ticket on the app? Also, what time do we show up to make it in time for breakfast and where exactly? Thanks so much.

Hi Christine!

For valet, when dropping off your vehicle, the parking attendants should have a list with the names of VIP guests (though it probably wouldn't hurt to have your ticket ready to show, just in case!). At the end of the day, you may need to show photo ID again when picking it up. We'd recommend arriving 30 minutes before the tour start time. Check in is at the Universal Studios Florida VIP Lobby, which is located near the main entrance of the park.
