Hoppy Halloween! One of the best parts of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is meeting all of the special characters. This separately ticketed event occurs after regular park hours at Magic Kingdom Park and offers so much exclusive entertainment and character greetings. (Psst ... you can get discount party tickets from us frogs!) We have all the characters listed, so you can plan out your top-priority character experiences. Here's everything to know about characters at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Overview of Characters at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Character greetings are one of our favorite reasons to attend the party — most characters are rare or in special themed outfits. There are more than 20 characters that meet throughout the park during the party. The official party map also provides a symbol indicating character locations.
In general, when we refer to wait times — low means less than 30 minutes of waiting, medium means about 30 to 60 minutes and long means more than an hour. These are approximate and can vary for each party, but we wanted to give you an idea of which characters have more popular lines.
Characters in Main Street, U.S.A.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Starting off with the hosts of the party, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will greet guests together for the first time! They meet in Town Square Theater. During regular park hours, Mickey greets guests solo in his magician outfit. Once the party starts at 7 p.m., Minnie will join him in their Halloween costumes. Both the meet-and-greet and queue are entirely inside (making it a plus if you experience bad weather).
Because they're meeting together this year, their wait time is a little bit longer than Mickey's solo line in previous years. We recommend meeting them during the first parade or toward the end of the night for the shortest waits — but not too late, as the line cuts off around 11:30 p.m. On opening night, we were able to hop in line around 5:45 p.m. and met them right at 7:20 p.m. Their wait time shows up on the My Disney Experience app, so you can keep track throughout the night.
Jack Skellington and Sally
Also in Town Square Theater are the most popular characters at the party — Jack Skellington and Sally. This "Nightmare Before Christmas" duo is exclusive to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (dressed as Sandy Claws). Both the meet-and-greet and queue for Jack and Sally are entirely inside.
Their line can get very long with an average wait time of two to three hours. Their wait time is available in the My Disney Experience app. You can enter the line right at 4 p.m. with a wristband. If meeting them is a priority, we recommend arriving as early as possible to use the pre-party time to meet them, so no actual party time is taken away. But unless you're one of the first in line, skip for later in the night because when we went on opening night this year, the wait time quickly rose to 200 minutes.
Another great time to meet these lovebirds is during the first parade. We noticed on the My Disney Experience app that the wait time had gone to 50 minutes from 8:30 to 9 p.m. Note that they may cut the line off to new guests by 11 p.m., so try not to wait too long to hop over.
Characters in Tomorrowland
Stitch
You can find Stitch in full rock 'n' roll fashion across from Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. Stitch is in an Elvis costume, which is rare and typically only seen at this event. The meet-and-greet and queue are outside. Guests can meet him sans-costume during regular park hours also in Tomorrowland.
This is another popular character with long wait times. Guests can start lining up early, but he won't come out until official party time. Early on during the party, his line is about an hour long and is fairly consistent all night. He meets until midnight, but his queue may get cut off earlier, depending on how long the line is.
Characters in Fantasyland
Mirabel and Bruno
While Mirabel Madrigal greets her adoring fans in Fairytale Garden during regular park hours in Magic Kingdom, her Tío Bruno is joining her for the supernatural festivities during the Halloween party! Mirabel is cute as can be and Bruno is perfectly awkward. We caught him playing with some plants while frogs grabbed photos with his niece. Expect to wait anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes to see them.
Note that ahead of Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, the darling duo relocates to the Liberty Square gazebo, but returns to Fairytale Garden by 10:45 p.m.
Alice and the Mad Hatter
The fun duo of Alice and the Mad Hatter makes for a delightful outdoor meet-and-greet by the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland. While you can meet Alice regularly at EPCOT, you don't often see the Mad Hatter out and about (besides catching them both in the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom).
These characters have about a medium to high wait time. Be mindful of their set times by checking the My Disney Experience app.
Queen of Hearts
Also near Mad Tea Party is the Queen of Hearts. This rare villain does not make many appearances and is exclusive to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Her meet-and-greet and queue are entirely outside.
She alternates with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, so try to enter the line when they are finishing up so you can time it for her majesty's presence. We got in line a few minutes before one of her scheduled times and waited about 25 minutes (after our turn, we heard the cast members tell her that she had five minutes left until she had to return to her castle).
Tweedledee and Tweedledum
This matching yellow-and-red duo greets at Mad Tea Party. They are very rare and exclusive to the party. Their line is outside and alternates every half hour with the Queen of Hearts.
Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger

Our favorite One Hundred Acre Woods friends are looking absolutely precious in their Halloween costumes. Pooh is dressed as a bee, Eeyore as a clown, Tigger as a pirate and Piglet as a butterfly. They greet guests next to the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction — you can meet Pooh and Tigger in that same location during regular park hours. The quartet is fairly exclusive and can only be seen together at the Halloween party, Very Merry (in holiday attire) or at The Crystal Palace character dining.
These characters are also very popular. Expect to wait close to an hour or more for this popular crew. Their queue is outside while the meet-and-greet is covered.
Ariel and Eric
Calling all Little Mermaid Fans! (It's me, we're calling me ... ). Prince Eric and Princess Ariel are greeting royal guests in front of the Under the Sea attraction in Fantasyland. We rarely see Ariel in her teal dress and Eric is extremely rare (princes, in general, are very rare), so we love seeing these two together.
With the popularity and rarity of this couple, be sure to plan earlier in the night if a priority for your family. Their meet-and-greet and queue are entirely outside.
Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella

Cinderella's evil stepmom and stepsisters, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella, can be found near Cinderella Fountain in Fantasyland. The sisters also appear during the day, around the same area. These ladies bring quite the humor and banter to their interactions (don't worry — they're not too "evil" and like to joke around). Their set times are listed in the My Disney Experience app.
Belle
You'll find Belle in her blue village dress at select times in front of Maurice's Cottage in Fantasyland. Belle meets in the same outfit at EPCOT and can be seen in her yellow ballgown during Enchanted Tales with Belle. Belle typically has a medium wait time. Since she is not considered a rare character, we recommend saving her for regular park hours, unless you hoppen upon her with no line.
Gaston
Gaston is back again this year, flexing his muscles near Gaston's Tavern.
Characters in Storybook Circus
Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto
In an exciting change this year, Storybook Circus is getting a dance party! Pluto will greet guests at the entrance of Storybook Circus, while Daisy and Goofy will meet in Pete's Silly Sideshow. (Psst ... Pete's Silly Sideshow has some of the best A/C during the party, so if you need a break from the humidity and heat, you probably won't mind waiting long in here!)
Characters in Adventureland
Aladdin and Abu
Over in Adventureland, you'll find the fun duo of Aladdin and Abu. They meet across from the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride. Aladdin makes an appearance in his Prince Ali outfit at Wish Makers Enchanted Dining at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa but Abu is quite rare and is usually only seen at these parties. The line is partially covered and the meet-and-greet is an open-air covering.
They alternate with Jasmine and the Genie and there is one line for both pairs, so you'll want to time it with their set times. We recommend getting in line when the opposite pair is meeting so you have a better chance of them switching over.
Jasmine and Genie
You've never had a friend like me with the delightful pair of Genie and Jasmine. They meet across from the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. (During normal park hours, Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie all make appearances in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, as well.)
Jasmine and Genie alternate with Aladdin and Abu with one queue, so the characters will switch on and off. This year, we waited about 30 minutes in line. As we waited, we watched as Jasmine and Genie tried to hide from Aladdin and Abu, succesfully popping out of the corner with a "Boo!" before they switched off.
Jack Sparrow

Across from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, you'll find Jack Sparrow himself! His wait time averaged around 30 minutes all night, and his set times are listed on the My Disney Experience app.
Other Character Experiences at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Main Street, U.S.A.
When you first arrive and go through the Market Street corridor, you not only get your treat bag and first candy of the night, but you're also greeted by either Cruella de Vil or Mother Gothel! They stand on a high platform, and talk with guests as they walk by. You can stop for a quick photo, but it's not a traditional meet-and-greet. It is a fabulous way to kick off the festivities!
Fantasyland
The Evil Queen and Maleficent also appear at Princess Fairytale Hall — one of the many trick-or-treat locations! Veer to the left (the Tiana and Rapunzel line) to have a chat with the Mistress of All Evil and veer to the right (the Cinderella and Elena line) to get some face time with Queen Grimhilde ... and don't froget to grab some sweets on the way out. (Note that they will go on breaks, so while the trick-or-treat location will remain open, these chilling character interactions are not always guaranteed. You'll just have to come back for more candy later!)
Wait, where's Donald Duck? This year, he's inside Mickey's PhilharMagic along the treat trail.
Frontierland and Liberty Square
In Frontierland, you'll find the Country Bears roaming in front of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree at select times. Prepare your dance moves with Big Al, Shaker and Wendell. Since they come out along the parade route, they will not appear close to or during the Boo-to-You parade. Romeo McGrowl appears inside the Country Bear treat trail.
Additional spooky sightings include the Haunted Mansion residents. Find the famous Hitchhiking Ghosts sporadically materializing above the entrance of Country Bear Musical Jamboree or inside Diamond Horseshoe! Keep your eyes peeled for their ghoulish antics, as they have no specific set times. In the Haunted Mansion graveyard, you can spot Miss Carlotta, Madam Renatta and Broome the Butler — they also pop up randomly on the front lawn or in the queue..
Zom-Beatz Bash (New)
Though not exact characters, fans of the Disney Channel "Zombies" movies will enjoy grooving at this fun dance party at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. Show off your best dance moves from 7 p.m. to midnight.
Disney Jr. Jam
Over at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, younger tadpoles will love the Disney Jr. Jam, featuring some of Lily's Disney Channel faves, from 7 p.m. to midnight. You might see characters such as Vampirina, Powerline Max, Doc McStuffins and even Timon (note that the characters will rotate in and out). Lily adores this dance party, and it's a perfect way to see her favorite characters in a low-key way. It also has low crowds most of the time, so it's easy to get individual interactions.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
If you want to see more of your favorite villains, be sure to watch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show on the castle stage. It features the Sanderson Sisters and appearances from villains including Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent and more!
Boo-to-You Parade
You won't want to miss the popular Boo-to-You parade, hoppening twice each party. Guests will see characters such as Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Aladdin, Jasmine and others. Tinker Bell and Captain Jack Sparrow follow along on their floats. The Gravediggers precede Constance Hatchaway, better known as The Black Widow Bride from the Haunted Mansion. Mother Gothel joins Maleficent on the final float. You'll also see Hitchhiking Ghosts, Disney villains and Minnie, Daisy and Clarabelle dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from "Hocus Pocus"!
Also returning this year, those waiting for the parade on portions of Main Street, U.S.A. can reminisce on classic '90s nostalgia with a dance crew led by Max Goof — cosplaying as Powerline from the popular "A Goofy Movie." He emerged from about halfway down Main Street. Guests can hop up and dance along with him (plus he sometimes makes appearances at the Disney Jr. Jam at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe).
Tips for Meeting Characters at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
We have some additional tips on meeting characters at the party:
- Check the My Disney Experience app for character set times. This will help you plan out when to arrive. We suggest arriving just prior to the character's set time to maximize your time, as lines can get extra long once people spot the character. Note that some characters don't meet during the parades.
- That said, some characters continue to greet guests during the parade, and that can be a great time to visit, especially Jack and Sally! If you don't meet them during the pre-party time, we saw their line go down to about 50 minutes around 8:30 p.m. while everyone else was lined up waiting for the first parade.
- Have kiddos that are nervous to meet characters? Check out our guide to characters at Disney World for extra tips on interacting with characters (plus a list of all character locations during regular park hours).
- Be sure to prioritize which characters you'll want to meet. There are only so many hours in the party and time will pass quickly, especially if you're also trying to see the trifecta of main entertainment — the parade, stage show and fireworks.
- We recommend using some of the pre-party time to meet regular characters, such as Belle or characters that will not be at the party, such as Peter Pan and Cinderella.
- It's always fun when you dress up in costume or a themed outfit and meet characters from the same story. You'll have an extra special interaction and create a magical memory.
