Disney Cruises Out of Galveston — The Disney Magic
The Disney Magic calls Galveston home from November through March or April each year. The elegance of the original Disney Cruise Line ship is a perfect match for the historical charm of Galveston Island. A few of our Frog Family's favorite features (say that 10 times fast!) are the reimagined Disney's Oceaneer Club featuring Marvel Avengers Academy, Rapunzel’s Royal Table restaurant, Tangled the Musical live stage show and the AquaDunk waterslide. Plus, there are plenty of adults-only spaces for mom and dad to enjoy while the kids are off doing their favorite things!

Galveston Disney Cruise Itineraries
Disney Cruise line offers a range of itineraries sailing from Galveston. Sailing 4- to 7-night itineraries, you can hop aboard for a long weekend cruise, or enjoy a full week of relaxation as you visit ports in Mexico and the Caribbean. While you won’t stop at either Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, you have a variety of itinerary options featuring different ports along the Caribbean coast in Mexico and Grand Cayman.
The 4-night itineraries offered aboard the Disney Magic feature two days at sea and one day in Progreso, Mexico. This itinerary is great for cruisers who have a limited amount of time or are looking for a short escape paired with time spent in Galveston and Houston. There is a wide variety of Port Adventures in Progreso, and some of our favorites are A Dino Quest (because who hasn’t dreamed of being a paleontologist?), Alebrije Painting Workshop and Beach - Inspired by Disney Pixars Feature Film Coco, visiting the Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins and the Family Beach Day.
On the 5-night sailing, a stop at Cozumel, Mexico is added in addition to Progreso and two days at sea. Cozumel has loads of frogtastic Port Adventure options, including accessible Port Adventures for individuals in wheelchairs or with mobility challenges. A few of our favorite Port Adventures in Cozumel are the All-Inclusive Beach Resort Day, Cozumel Beach Break for Families, Atlantis Submarine Adventure, Dolphin and Manatee Encounter and the Beach BBQ, Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkeling with Rays and Sharks.
Six-night cruises about the Magic give you three days at sea, a day in George Town, Grand Cayman and a day in Cozumel. These sailings are perfect for the froggy family that enjoys time spent on the ship exploring, taking in the shows, participating in crafts and games and hanging at the pool. In port, we love enjoying a beach day on Cozumel and then participating in a more adventurous Port Adventure on Grand Cayman. A visit to Stingray City on Grand Cayman is a highlight every time we visit. We also love the Nautilus Undersea Tour.
The 7-night sailings are limited to one per year in 2025 and 2026. The 2025 sailing is a repositioning cruise, where you will visit Disney Castaway Cay, Nassau, Bahamas and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point before disembarking in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is very important to note that you will need to fly home from San Juan, as the ship is not returning to Galveston. In 2026, the Magic’s 7-night itinerary includes a stop in Cozumel, Progreso and Costa Maya, Mexico.
