As Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure is filled with exciting experiences, new entertainment and delicious dining options. The second ship in the Triton Class, its adventure-themed design is perfect for the whole family. (And for all you fellow Millennials — this ship feels like it was made just for us!) With the latest technology and classic Disney storytelling, there’s something for everyone, from pools and kids clubs to adults-only spaces.

The Disney Treasure will sail on her inaugural voyage, starting Dec. 21, 2024. Following that, the Disney Treasure will sail seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral during her inaugural season, running from late December 2024 through May 2025. Notable destinations include Cozumel, Mexico; the U.S. Virgin Islands; Jamaica; and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. (Currently, the Treasure does not have scheduled stops at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.)

Disney Treasure Staterooms Overview

Disney Treasure Stateroom - Door

Every stateroom on the Disney Treasure is designed with families in mind. The ship offers a variety of staterooms with different themes, layouts and price points.

When you see numbers and letters after a cabin category (such as Inside Staterooms 11A, 11B and 11C), the letters show the location on the ship, from forward to aft. A and B cabins are closer to midship, while C, D and E are farther forward or aft.

With 1,256 staterooms, with the most located midship, you’ll find options with private verandahs, ocean views and convenient split-bathroom layouts. There are also 451 connecting cabins and 35 wheelchair-accessible rooms, so you won't have any trouble finding what you're looking for.

Room themes on the Disney Treasure give nods to fan-favorite Disney films such as "Encanto," "Up" and "Pocahontas." Additionally, the Concierge staterooms have either "The Lion King" or "Finding Nemo" theming.

Disney Treasure Stateroom Categories

The Disney Treasure offers four main categories of staterooms, each with a range of types and deck locations:

  • Inside Staterooms
  • Oceanview Staterooms
  • Verandah Staterooms
  • Concierge Staterooms

Inside Staterooms

Froggy families, especially couples or families with small children, will appreciate the convenience and thoughtful design of the Disney Treasure inside staterooms. This option is the most compact but still provides plenty of space to relax. (It's also the most economical!) With room for up to four, an inside stateroom is a great option for shorter cruises or for folks who will be out enjoying all the ship's amenities. The full bathroom offers ample space and a convenient bathtub/shower combination. These interior staterooms are about 169 square feet and include a plush queen bed, a single convertible sofa and an upper-berth pull-down bed. Additional features include a full bathroom, mini-refrigerator and personal safe.

Oceanview Staterooms

Disney Treasure Staterooms - Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom

You can't go wrong with Disney Treasure’s Deluxe Oceanview and Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms. The Deluxe Oceanview staterooms sleep up to four sailors, offering cozy comfort and a touch of adventure, while Deluxe Family Oceanview cabins accommodate up to five, great for accommodating larger families. The highlight of these staterooms is the large porthole window — a perfect frame for watching the sun rise over the ocean or spotting playful dolphins.

Each stateroom features a queen bed, single convertible sofa, sitting area, mini-fridge and the signature split-bath layout. The split bathroom design has two separate spaces. One area has a toilet and sink and the other has a second sink and shower/bathtub combo. Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms include a single-berth pull-down bed, while Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms add an upper-berth and wall pull-down.

Verandah Staterooms

The Verandah Staterooms are our top pick for families. With your private verandah, you can step out and enjoy the beauty of the ocean anytime. Choose between Deluxe Oceanview Verandah cabins, which sleep up to four, or Deluxe Family Oceanview Verandah cabins which sleep up to five. With more room to spread out, these staterooms are a haven for relaxation after a day of Disney adventures. Each cabin has a queen bed, single convertible sofa, sitting area, mini-fridge, split bath and private balcony. The Deluxe Verandah staterooms also have a single-berth pull-down bed, while Deluxe Family Verandah staterooms add an upper-berth and wall pull-down bed for larger groups.

When we went on our Disney Treasure preview cruise, we stayed in a Deluxe Oceanview Verandah stateroom. There was plenty of storage in the closet, under the bed and the living area vanity (which housed several shelves and drawers, a large mirror and the mini-fridge). For charging electronics, there were several standard U.S. (Type A) outlets and USB-C outlets, as well as a couple of Type C outlets. You could also draw a thick curtain between the queen bed and the living area with the single convertible sofa for extra privacy.

Tips for Booking the Perfect Disney Treasure Stateroom

Disney Treasure Staterooms - Grand Hall

Here are a few more tips to consider when booking your Disney Treasure stateroom:

  • Want the best deal? Remember to book early. Booking early gives you the best chance at snagging a lower price. Disney cruises typically don’t drop in cost unless it’s a last-minute deal. The ideal time to book is when new itineraries are released, usually 15 to 18 months ahead. Also, consider booking your cruise in the off-season when prices are lower. (And of course, Undercover Tourist offers exclusive savings on Disney cruises year-round!)
  • Have a large family or traveling with a group? Adjoining staterooms are a great way to stay close while still enjoying some privacy. These rooms have a connecting door, allowing easy access between them. To find out if the staterooms you’re considering are adjoining, check the Disney Cruise Line deck plans. Look for a small black triangle pointing toward another room — this symbol indicates that the rooms are connected.
  • Are you a light sleeper? Choose a stateroom that's not too low or too high on the ship. Lower decks can be noisy from restaurants, bars and lounges or the engines, while higher decks are closer to pools, fireworks and buffets. Also, avoid staterooms near elevators, stairwells and laundry rooms to reduce noise from other passengers passing by.
  • Worried about seasickness? For less swaying, pick a stateroom lower and in the middle of the ship. Disney ships are large, so you might not feel much movement at all! If you’re worried about seasickness, avoid staying at the front of the ship, where you’ll feel and hear more from the waves and anchors.

And that's a wrap on the Disney Treasure staterooms! When will you be sailing? Let us know in the comments below!
