Disney Treasure - Grand Hall

Overview of the Disney Treasure Ship

This remarkable new 15-deck ship was crafted with care at Meyer Werft in Germany and finally arrived at her permanent home — Port Canaveral, Florida after undergoing sea trials. On Nov. 19, 2024, Disney Parks Blog livestreamed the Disney Treasure's christening ceremony.

The Disney Treasure will sail on her maiden voyage on Dec. 21, 2024. Like its sister ships, the Disney Wish and the forthcoming Disney Destiny, it will run on clean and eco-friendly liquefied natural gas. You know we frogs love those green efforts!

Disney Treasure- Grand Hall Jasmine and Aladdin bronze statue

The Disney Treasure is designed to reflect "Walt Disney's thirst for adventure," and its overall theming will transport you to the world of "Aladdin." You'll be whisked away to a "whole new world" as soon as you step aboard. Next to the sweeping staircase, you'll find a statue featuring Aladdin and Jasmine soaring on a magic carpet. Venture further and you'll notice the breathtaking Grand Hall atrium, reminiscent of the kingdom of Agrabah.

And don't miss the frogtastic stern featuring none other than Captain Hook and Peter Pan. Make sure to get a good look when the ship is docked at port!

As mentioned above, the Disney Treasure will claim Port Canaveral as its home port. The ship will set off on its first-ever journey, a seven-night trip in the Eastern Caribbean on Dec. 21, 2024. After that, it will continue with more seven-night trips to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral for its inaugural season from late December 2024 through May 2025. The itinerary highlights include stops at Cozumel, Mexico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Jamaica and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. (The Treasure does not have any scheduled stops at Disney's Lookout Cay at this time.)

Bookings are now open (and yes, Undercover Tourist offers discount sailings on the Disney Treasure!)

Disney Treasure Accommodations

Stretching across 341.13 meters and weighing in at a whopping 140,000 gross tons, this sixth addition to the Disney Cruise fleet hosts 1,246 guest staterooms, ready to accommodate up to 4,000 passengers. The Disney Treasure is the second ship in Disney's Triton Class, with the Disney Destiny being the third Triton Class vessel scheduled to make her debut in 2025.

Disney Treasure - upper deck view of the Disney Treasure's horns and funnel

Let's take a peek at the staterooms on Disney Treasure! There are four main categories of staterooms, each with a range of types and deck locations:

  • Inside Staterooms
  • Oceanview Staterooms
  • Verandah Staterooms
  • Concierge Staterooms

These rooms strike a balance between modern style and that classic Disney charm and give nods to "Aladdin," "Pocahontas," "Up" and "Encanto." If you're looking for something even more elevated, Disney Cruise Line offers concierge staterooms and suites.

The well-designed staterooms and suites are among the industry's most spacious, purposefully designed to accommodate families of four or more.

Disney Treasure - Disney Treasure stateroom

Almost all of the staterooms are equipped with plenty of storage space, a cozy living area and a unique split bathroom design — one with a shower, bathtub, sink and closet and another with a separate toilet and sink. The beds are raised to create space for under-bed storage, so you can keep your belongings neatly tucked away.

The standard amenities include plenty of charging ports, mirrored vanities, a smart HDTV, a refrigerator, an in-room safe and a hair dryer.

Royal Suites

On the Disney Treasure, you can stay in your choice of four royal suites. These special rooms are named after two of our favorite Disney feline companions — the Bagheera Royal Suites and the Rajah Royal Suites.

Tomorrow Tower Suite

Disney Treasure Staterooms - Tomorrow Tower Suite

The suite is located in the ship's forward tunnel and has a massive two-story window that gives you a panoramic view of the ship's top deck and the wide-open sea. The Tomorrow Tower Suite is all about embracing the innovative spirit that inspired EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort. It's huge, with almost 2,000 square feet of space and can comfortably accommodate eight guests. You'll have more than everything you need, including spaces to eat, sleep and play. There's even a full kitchen and a private elevator!

Can't decide which stateroom is right for you? Hop over to our Room Decision Matrix!

Recreation and Entertainment Aboard the Disney Treasure Ship

On the Disney Treasure, a world of endless activities and recreation awaits — there's something for everyone in your crew. We've listed our favorites here, but be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to view all the activities hoppenin' around the ship.

Character Meet and Greets

While sailing the ocean blue, you'll have the opportunity to meet and hang out with your favorite Disney characters. Imagine getting to see real-life princesses, brave superheroes and all your classic Disney friends. Characters can be found in the deck entertainment shows, but also in the Grand Hall and at select photo spots throughout your trip.

Disney Treasure - Princess Jasmine meeting in the Grand Hall

A familiar face takes the helm as captain — none other than Minnie Mouse! You might even see her in her new adventure outfit — Minnie's iconic red and white polka dots still make an appearance on her scarf and hat.

Sailing Away Deck Party

The Sailing Away Deck Party will be an exciting kickoff to your unfrogettable voyage. As the ship sets sail, join fellow passengers on the upper decks for a celebration. Dance to upbeat music, watch as Disney characters make special appearances and soak in the electric atmosphere as you wave goodbye to the shore. The party's energy is infectious, setting the tone for the adventures ahead.

Be sure to listen for the Disney Treasure's distinctive horn. Unlike other cruise lines, Disney ships have a collection of horn melodies. The Disney Treasure's horn will have seven new musical arrangements, including "A Whole New World" from the Disney film, "Aladdin."

AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg

When aboard the Disney Treasure, you'll experience something really exciting — Disney Cruise Line's very own attraction at sea called AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. You'll hop on two-person ride vehicles with powerful jets zipping you through 760 feet of twisty tubes. Along the way, you'll see views of the ocean and the ship below.

Sarabi

Sarabi is the central hub for daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening events. The theatre is named after the lioness matriarch Sarabi from "The Lion King," and it's designed to make you feel like you're in the wide-open savanna. It's a hoppin' spot on the ship!

Disney Treasure - Sarabi entertainment zone

Walt Disney Theatre

The stage becomes alive with exciting Broadway-style performances. A fresh production titled "Disney The Tale of Moana" will premiere on the Disney Treasure. It will bring to life Moana's thrilling adventures with a massive Te Kā puppet and a glowing manta ray will soar over the theatre as the spirit of Gramma Tala. Additionally, "Beauty and the Beast" and "Disney Seas the Adventure" will be shown as well.

Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party

Disney Treasure - Fireworks at sea

As the sun sets, get ready for a mesmerizing spectacle as the sky lights up with fireworks. On the upper decks, there will be music and fireworks to make the Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party an exciting and memorable event.

Mickey & Minnie Captain's Deck

Disney Treasure - Mickey and Minnie Captain's Deck

This nautical playground is just for the youngest sailors onboard. Little ones can explore a sea of maritime-themed games and activities that engage both their bodies and minds. Plus, they'll have the chance to enjoy some quality playtime with none other than Mickey and Minnie!

Fairytale Hall

Disney Cruise - Fairytale Hall

At Fairytale Hall, kids can rotate between a trio of activity rooms. In Rapunzel's Art Studio, they can unleash their creativity with a variety of art projects. Belle's Library offers a cozy space for reading and acting out stories. While over at Anna and Elsa's summer cabin, they can put their ice powers to the test with themed games.

Star Wars: Cargo Bay

Star Wars: Cargo Bay is an adventure where kids get to be creature handlers. They'll take care of interesting creatures from different parts of the galaxy, including porgs, Loth-cats, worrts and more. Plus, they'll play a big role in helping Rey and Chewbacca join the Resistance and use the Force to save the ship from danger.

Marvel Super Hero Academy

Kids get to be like the Avengers at the Marvel Super Hero Academy. They start by designing superhero suits and then play a virtual game to test their skills. Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp may even make appearances to help them learn the way!

Disney Treasure - Spider-Man meeting at Marvel Super Hero Academy

Edge — Ages 11-14

Edge on the Disney Treasure is a dedicated hangout for tweens. It’s a cool, age-appropriate space where they can relax, make new friends and have fun. Inside, they’ll find video games, arts and crafts and interactive group challenges. It’s the perfect spot for tweens to enjoy some independence and build friendships in a supervised environment.

At the Vibe, teens are in for an awesome hangout. Vibe offers a cool and age-appropriate environment to chill and connect. From video games and karaoke to movie nights and themed parties, the exciting variety of activities keeps the energy high and the fun flowing.

Experiences for Grown-Up Frogs

On the Disney Treasure, adults can indulge in exclusive adults-only dining experiences. Palo Steakhouse is an Italian specialty restaurant that offers a prix fixe brunch and dinner menu filled with delectable dishes. Enchanté is the second adult-exclusive option. This restaurant brings the flavors of French cuisine to the table in a luxurious setting.

The Rose is an upscale adults-only lounge. It’s inspired by the enchanted rose from "Beauty and the Beast." You’ll find it at the entrance of Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté. Guests can enjoy drinks here before or after dinner. The space is elegant and there are floor-to-ceiling windows where you can take in those ocean views.

Periscope Pub

Disney Treasure - Drink at Periscope Pub

Periscope Pub is inspired by the 1954 movie "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," and the famous Disney ride at Walt Disney World that was open from 1971 to 1994. Inside, it will feel like you're in a submarine from the 1800s with shiny metal details and a steampunk style. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a great spot to hang out and catch the game. The menu offers craft beers and small plates.

Skipper Society

A new campy lounge, Skipper Society will also make its debut on the Disney Treasure. This is the first time Disney has brought the famous Jungle Cruise attraction from the Disney Parks to a cruise. Instead of the backside of water, the place is decorated with earth tones and jungle-style furniture. Make sure to take a good look around. You'll spy a monkey-shaped chandelier, postcards and luggage tags from various adventures, all while enjoying special drinks and light snacks under a leafy canopy.

Haunted Mansion Parlor

A Haunted Mansion-themed lounge will materialize on the Disney Treasure! This parlor embodies the golden age of ocean travel and is inspired by the original Haunted Mansion attraction. But this parlor has a lore of its own — the captain finds himself in the ghostly world after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancée. Be on the lookout for clues as to what actually caused the Captain's demise, including an aquarium filled with ghost fish!

For all you Disney history buffs, see if you can connect the dots between the mysterious aquarium and renowned Disney Imagineer, Rolly Crump. Let's just say it's a little "weird!"

Haunted Mansion Parlor - Drink and Death Certificate

Keep your eyes peeled for ride tributes such as the iconic wallpaper and the distinctive purple armchair tucked away in a corner. You might even spot a few familiar faces in the parlor's portrait gallery such as The Mariner found at the Haunted Mansion at the Walt Disney World Resort.

In addition, spirited craft cocktails and exclusive merchandise will be available for purchase including a signature beverage, Conjuring Up the Magic. This bewitching concoction is a twist on the classic margarita but includes a swirl of flavored smoke that contains a secret message that can only be revealed by black light! There will also be ceramic souvenir mugs made in the likeness of The Mariner and the Captain's bride.

Scat Cat Lounge

Disney Treasure - Scat Cat Lounge

Located off the Grand Hall, you find a lounge inspired by the 1970 Disney classic, "The Aristocats." This lounge will bring the cool vibes of “Ev’rybody Wants to be a Cat” to life. The lounge will mix the style of an old-school jazz club with artistic nods to “The Aristocats.”

Scat Cat Lounge will offer a special menu of cocktails inspired by the movie, such as the Créme de la Créme Martini and The Cat Drink made with clarified bourbon, amaro, Aperol and fresh lemon. The menu even features The Turkish Tea Experience, a tea-infused cocktail.

Guests can look forward to discovering fun design secrets, such as paint-covered paw marks on the piano, a horn-shaped door handle and hidden characters including Roquefort, the mouse friend of Duchess and her kittens. Plus, there’s a cat collage poster featuring the actual pets of the project team that worked to design and build the lounge!

Dining Aboard the Disney Treasure

Now, let's talk about the details of the Disney Treasure's rotational dining. Would you believe that you've got not one, not two, but three frogtastic restaurants to experience? You'll be assigned a specific restaurant for dinner each night. On the 7-night sailings, you will rotate back to the same dining spots — getting to experience them more than once, but new dishes and experiences will help to switch things up a bit. Psst, you can peek at the menus in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to get an idea of what delicacies await you.

Each restaurant aboard the Disney Treasure has its own immersive theming:

Plaza De Coco

Get ready for a new dining experience on the Disney Treasure — Plaza de Coco! During your first night there, you'll continue Miguel's story from the movie. You'll be taken on a colorful journey filled with music, where you'll enjoy delicious Mexican food and live entertainment.

Disney Treasure - Plaza de Coco entrance

On the second night, Miguel will use his magic guitar to bring back his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda. Our Best Tips for Sailing on the Disney Treasure

Disney Treasure - Chandelier in the Grand Hall

From our own Disney Cruise experiences, we've uncovered a treasure trove of valuable tips that are helpful as you're planning your adventure:

  • Book Early: Disney Cruises are popular and tend to fill up fast, so make your reservations well in advance to secure your preferred dates and accommodations. (Don't froget that you can save on your next Disney Cruise when you book through Undercover Tourist!)
  • Pack Essentials: Remember to pack items such as sunscreen, swimwear, comfortable walking shoes and any necessary medications. Also, bring formal attire for special occasions and adult-exclusive dining. We recommend bringing a carry-on bag with you on embarkation day. The crew will not deliver your luggage to your stateroom until late afternoon. Hop over to our ultimate Disney cruise packing list for more tips.
  • Personalize Your Experience: Customize your cruise by pre-booking activities such as adult-exclusive dining, spa treatments and Port Adventures online before you set sail. We recommend booking these magical extras as soon as your Castaway Club level booking window opens.
  • Complete Your Online Check-In ASAP: (according to your Castaway Club level stats) so you can snag an early port arrival time. An earlier arrival time means more time on the ship!
  • Download the App: The Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is your go-to guide for onboard schedules, dining details and navigation around the ship.
  • Treasure Found Goodbye: Don't miss this show on the last night. It's a special way to wrap up your trip and meet your favorite Disney characters all in one place.
  • Dining Requests: You can make dietary requests in advance on the Disney Cruise website or in the app. Your servers will ask about dietary needs in the main dining rooms as well.
  • Stay Hydrated: It's easy to get busy and forget to stay hydrated. Carry a refillable water bottle and take advantage of the complimentary drink stations.
  • Capture Memories: Consider purchasing a photo package to remember your trip. You can save by purchasing digital photo packages in advance. However, you can also decide to purchase after you view your photos onboard.
  • Want a little dose of the Disney Treasure now? Give a listen to, "Live the Adventure" — the signature song dedicated to the Disney Treasure with vocals by Jordin Sparks. "Live the Adventure" is available on most music streaming services. It will have you dancing along and dreaming about your next Disney Cruise Line adventure!
