Mischievous or just misunderstood? That's the theme of Hollywood Studios' newest stage show, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. Featuring Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent, you will be the one to answer: Which villain has been unfairly treated the most? Hop along as we experience this brand-new stage show! Frogs of all ages have been yearning for a bigger Disney villain presence in the parks. We can't wait to see what spellbinding stories unfold on stage this summer!
All About Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After
The new stage show follows Maleficent, Captain Hook and Cruella de Vil as they present their cases to the audience to determine who's been the most unfairly treated. (I mean, we could certainly make a case for Captain Hook, right?)
Throughout the performance, these iconic villains make wisecracks and share their side of the story, letting you decide once and for all who's had it the worst. However, be careful about who you choose. These are villains after all.
The show features live performances, a new song from the Magic Mirror and a stunning set that Imagineers spent two years working on!
Where Is Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After Located?
Find this musical stage show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After has taken residence in the former venue for Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. This is the section to the right of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (soon to be replaced by The Muppets!)
If this is your first time visiting Hollywood Studios, make the first right onto Sunset Boulevard after entering the park. Once on Sunset Boulevard, make a left into the area that houses Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and head to your right. You’ll be directed with signs to the entrance of the show.
Which Villains Are Part of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After?
The stage show centers on the stories of Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil and Maleficent. However, you may see other villains make brief appearances through the Magic Mirror or elsewhere on stage. These appearances are digital, rather than live performances. The other villains with the biggest appearances are The Evil Queen from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (the OG villain and owner of the Magic Mirror) and, my two personal faves, Jafar from "Aladdin" and Hades from "Hercules," who bicker with each other in a diva-off for the ages.
Pulled from just about every era of Disney animation — no matter which baddie you stan — your favorite villain is sure to make a dastardly appearance. Here's who else you'll catch trying to make their way through the glass:
- Pete from "A Goofy Movie"
- Big Bad Wolf from "The Three Little Pigs"
- Honest John and Gideon from "Pinocchio"
- Chernabog from "Fantasia"
- Willie the Giant from "Fun and Fancy Free"

Is Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After Too Scary for Kids?
Disney considers Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After to be appropriate for frogs of all ages. However, you know your tadpole best. If they typically get scared by Maleficent, you might want to pass on the show until they’re a bit older.
If you are concerned about lighting effects or other spooky scenery, we recommend talking to a cast member ahead of time. They can provide more details.
Speaking of details, this show features video captioning, assistive listening and handheld captioning for guests needing hearing or visual accommodations. Guests may also remain in their wheelchairs. Check out our overview of Disney World's Disability Access Service (DAS) for more info!
Where to Find Villains at Disney Parks
Maybe you’re not headed to Hollywood Studios on your next visit to Walt Disney World. (By the way, did you know we can save you some green on park tickets?). Or, maybe you want to get your villain fix another way!
If so, you may be wondering where else you can find these iconic villains throughout the Disney parks. And good news — I’ve got you covered. Here’s where to find your favorite Disney villains:
Fantasmic!
Every night at Hollywood Studios, catch Mickey Mouse and classic Disney villains, including Maleficent in her dragon form, in Fantasmic! This family-friendly performance follows Mickey Mouse and the power of imagination! Performances vary depending on the season (and during busier times, there may be two showtimes!). You can always check My Disney Experience for the latest info.
Meet Darth Vader at Star Wars Launch Bay
Also at Hollywood Studios is the ability to meet one of the most iconic villains of all time — Darth Vader! Meet and greets are available at Star Wars Launch Bay starting at 10 a.m. ... if you're brave enough! (You don't have long to meet the Dark Lord of the Sith! Animation Courtyard will close beginning Sept. 25, 2025, to make way for "The Magic of Disney Animation.")
Meet Kylo Ren at First Order Cargo Bay
Park your transport over in Batuu (aka Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge), where the menacing Force-sensitive warrior appears throughout the day. Kylo Ren is confident he will lead you to the dark side to rule the galaxy. Will you pledge your allegiance?
Dine With the Evil Queen at Story Book Dining at Artist Point
Immerse yourself in the middle of a fairy tale at Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. With a menu fit for royalty, it only makes sense to snag a photo with the Evil Queen after the plates have cleared.
Catch the Festival of Fantasy Parade
The fact that Maleficent turns into a dragon is already cool! But do you know what’s even cooler? Seeing her in a steampunk form! You can see this version of this wicked villain during the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom. But that's not all! Captain Hook also makes an appearance!
Check My Disney Experience for showtimes.
