Our Disney Tickets Are 100% RFID and FastPass+ Enabled

by Leap on June 1, 2021
412

A Note from Leap: After reopening, Disney World has retired FastPass+. A new offering, called Genie+, has debuted! Hop over to our full post for more information! And guess what? Undercover Tourist offers Disney World tickets WITH Genie+!

All of our Disney World tickets are FastPass+ enabled.

This means you can link your tickets via the My Disney Experience app and website, which allows you to pre-book reservations to attractions and entertainment. Whether you are a resort guest or a park guest, you are allowed to advance book three FastPass+ attraction or entertainment selections per day from any one park.

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make FastPass+ reservations up to 60 days in advance of check-in for their entire length of stay, while guests staying off-site can make reservations up to 30 days in advance of each day of their theme park visitWe recommend that you buy your Disney tickets far enough in advance that you can book your FastPass+ selections 60 or 30 days out. Once your order has been processed, you will get a confirmation email with your ticket number to link your tickets in My Disney Experience. (Note that currently, FastPass services are suspended.)

Disney World RFID tickets

RFID Tickets & Obtaining MagicBands

MagicBands offer the same touch-to-enter functionality as Disney World RFID-enabled tickets in the parks, but added convenience since you wear the band versus having to pull it out of a pocket, wallet or backpack. MagicBands are available for purchase in the parks, at Disney Springs and online. Disney World Resort hotel guests receive discounted MagicBands. Guests have the option of purchasing MagicBands and linking them to a My Disney Experience profile later, which allows them to be purchased as gifts or for future trips. Disney World RFID-enabled tickets offer the same touch-to-enter functionality at MagicBands. Disney World also introduced a brand-new way to enter the parks with your smartphone or watch, called Disney MagicMobile.

All Undercover Tourist tickets offer the same functionality as a ticket purchased directly from Disney.

You'll find more resources on FastPass+ and Disney World RFID tickets, including answers to common questions, on our Disney FastPass+ Planning page inside the Orlando Planning Timeline. As always, our shipping is free! So let's get that vacation started with Disney World FastPass+ enabled tickets!

Hi Emma!

Not having a MagicBand+ is toadally OK! You can set up the Disney MagicMobile service on your smartphone or watch's Apple Wallet and it works just the same. When you purchase tickets, you can send them to your email and then you would link them to your My Disney Experience account.

What is the difference between getting an E-ticket or a hard copy from Undercover tourist as far as refundability? Also, if you get a hard copy do you have to wait til the tickets arrive to link them up or do they give you a code and you can link them up right after purchase?

At this time, Disney World e-tickets are nonrefundable, but our mailed tickets are 95% refundable up to 365 days from your purchase. You can link your e-ticket as soon as it arrives (which can take up to 24 hours to process), while mailed tickets can be linked once they arrive in the mail. You can see our refund policy in full on each individual ticket's page. Please give us a call at 1 (800) 846-1302 if we can help with any questions!

Hi! We are taking our grandson to Disney World for his first trip this October. We have already booked our room on Disney as well as our flights and getting ready to purchase tickets. It's been many years since we took our kids there and things have changed so much. I need some clarification of mailed vs. e-tickets. I can't find any information on why one would purchase one over another. Can you provide any help with this? Thanks!

Hi Kristin!

Absolutely! Once you receive your tickets in the mail, you'll be able to link the tickets to your My Disney Experience account. Here's how you can do so:

On the My Disney Experience website: After your log in, select My Reservations and Tickets from the MDE dropdown menu. Select Link Tickets under Tickets and Passes and enter the 12 digit code printed on the bottom lefthand corner of the RFID ticket. (You will need to scratch off the last 4 digits of the code before entering.) A list of your linked tickets will then display, and you can then assign the ticket/tickets to yourself, someone in your friends & family list or a new guest.
From the My Disney Experience app: You can scan the QR code on the lefthand side of the RFID ticket. From the app, select My Reservations and follow the instructions listed under Link a Ticket or Pass.

Then, on the My Disney Experience app, you can create the Disney MagicMobile passes.

Might I request that the instructions for linking tickets be included in the "Your Disney Tickets Are Ready" email? I just spent an hour trying to figure this out, myself, and I only happened upon this random reply to a random comment on a random article. Apparently the navigating to the My Disney Experience menu is a crucial step, as "Add Tickets" under your profile (which seemed like the logical place) is something completely different (though it looks identical).

FrogBlog Says...

Hi Dave!

There are a couple of ways to do this. If you will have Magic Bands, it's easiest link your E-Ticket in My Disney Experience and use a MagicBand. At the gate, you'd then tap into the turnstiles and enter - easy peasy! If you are staying on site at the Walt Disney World® Resort, MagicBands will either be shipped to you for free or available for pickup upon check-in.

If you are staying off site, you can purchase MagicBands online ahead of time, at the Downtown Disney Area or in the parks.

If you will not have a Magic Band, you'll need to exchange the E-ticket at will call for a RFID-enabled ticket. The person whose name is on the order will need to be present to pick up tickets and may need to provide ID.

Have a great trip!

If you print your e-ticket, you'll need to exchange at Will Call prior to entering the park at Disney World. At Disneyland, you can print your e-ticket (or present your mobile device for scanning) - no need for Will Call. Hope this helps!

FrogBlog Says...

Hi Bush!

Your MagicBand and tickets are all linked through the My Disney Experience App. Here's how to link your Undercover Tourist ticket:

On the My Disney Experience website: After your log in, select My Reservations and Tickets from the MDE dropdown menu. Select Link Tickets under Tickets and Passes and enter your reservation number listed on the E-ticket PDF found in your Undercover Tourist account or your E-Tickets are Ready email. A list of your E-tickets will be displayed, and you can then assign the ticket/tickets to yourself, someone in your friends & family list, or a new guest.

From the My Disney Experience app: You can scan the bar code on your E-ticket PDF found in your Undercover Tourist account or your E-Tickets are Ready email. From the app, select My Reservations and follow the instructions listed under Link a Ticket or Pass.

Your MagicBands will automatically be sent to you if you are saying at a Disney World Resort, and will come activated through My Disney Experience. If you are looking to purchase a MagicBand, you can manually link a MagicBand in the "My Magic Bands or Cards" section of My Disney Experience. The app will then walk you through the process.

If you run into any issues linking your tickets, feel free to give us a call at 1 (800) 846-1302, and we'll be hoppy to help!

Select Link Tickets under Tickets and Passes and enter the 12 digit code printed on the bottom lefthand corner of the RFID ticket. From the My Disney Experience app: You can scan the QR code on the lefthand side of the RFID ticket. From the app, select My Reservations and follow the instructions listed under Link a Ticket or Pass.

Great question -- no need to go digging for old Magic Bands! If you are staying at a Disney World Resort, you will be shipped a new MagicBand free of charge. MagicBands are also available in the park and online for purchase if you are not staying at a Disney World Resort. When you purchase your park tickets through Undercover Tourist, you'll be shipped an RFID-enabled ticket that you can either use independently, or attach to a MagicBand using the My Disney Experience app.

I purchased park e-tickets through UT and have hotel reservations booked through Disney directly. I added my park tickets to my My Disney Experience account, but I just want to confirm that there isn't an extra step in order to have the park tickets also linked to my MagicBands, which I'm getting from Disney for staying on resort property. If I've already linked the park tickets to my reservation, are they automatically added to my MagicBands or need I link them specifically to the bands as well? I cannot find a way to do that.

We recommend purchasing our discounted tickets in advance so you can book FastPass+ reservations and make the most of your trip. However, you can wait to link your Magic Bands to tickets bought at the park upon arrival.

Hoppy planning!

I currently have a hotel reservation on MDE. I will be purchasing my park tickets with UT. I am wondering which type of ticket (e ticket vs regular ticket) is better and can either ticket be linked on MDE with my magic bands.

Hi Amy!

Both E-tickets and regular tickets can be linked on MyDisneyExperience with your MagicBand. Choose whichever ticket option works best for you!

Hi Denel,

You won't receive a complimentary MagicBand until you are added to the reservation. You could purchase and order one, but if you're going to be added to the reservation once you arrive, you might wait until you are at the Disney hotel to get your complimentary MagicBand!

Why the E tickets that you sell to enter Disney parks, say "This ticket is not refundable"? I live in Uruguay and I want to have everything prepared from here, but you d'not send it to Uruguay. It helps me buy E tickets, but before buying them I want to tell me why the E tickets are non-refundable and the mailed are Eligible for refunds. What is the difference and what suits me?

We have two sets of reservations at Fort Wilderness, one was room only and the other a package. They said something about room only can buy tickets from anywhere, but the package guests needed to buy everything through them? Does this all make sense?

I am planning on buying park tickets & Disney resort stay from undercover tourist. Do you mail magic bands to us or will we have to buy those when we get to the hotel?

Hi Amy,

Yes, you'll still receive the MagicBands in the mail if you customize the bands (names & color) on the My Disney Experience website at least 10 before your arrival. If you do not, then you'll receive them upon check-in at the hotel.

When purchasing an e-ticket, do you have to be able to print the ticket or can you show ticket purchase from your phone at the gate to get a physical ticket. We are staying off property and won't have a magic band to link to.

Hi Danna,

We find it's easiest to open My Disney Experience and scan your tickets into the app. Go to My Tickets > Plus Icon > Link Tickets &

Passes > Scan Code. As for your MagicBands, add those under My Account > Magic Bands & Cards.

Planning to purchase tickets from you to add to MDE that has a current hotel reservation. If I order e-tickets I want to make sure I can just add them to my MDE, book our fast passes at 60 days and not have to exchange anything or do anything else once we arrive?

Hi Lex,

Our Disney World Magic Your Way and Park Hopper tickets are upgradable to an annual pass. You will need to upgrade them before you use all of the days and entitlements on the ticket, or before the 14-days after first use window closes.

We are staying at a Disney Resort so we get free Magicbands but we want to visit one of the Parks a week before our stay.

We live in Australia so the Magicbands can't be posted to us.

What are our options? If Undercover tourist emails or posts our tickets could we just use the paper tickets for our day in advance of our resort stay then get our Magicbands on checkin which we can use for the reminder of our park days? Is that the best option?

Or if you link the tickets to the magic band does the ticket no longer work?

Hi there,

If you visit a week before your hotel stay, you will need to exchange your E-Ticket at guest services for an RFID ticket. You would then get your MagicBands when you check in. Most Disney tickets expire 14 days after the day of first use; you can link them any time.

Hi,

Are your tickets returnable after they are linked to My Disney Experience and fastpass+ is set up? They can be reassigned to someone in your party but can they be transferred to anyone? I know they aren't returnable if magic bands are linked but this is assuming they aren't.

Thank you

Hi,

I don 't live at US and I would like to buy tickets from you. I would like to be able to set my fast pass as well. Which delivery option can I use? If the only option is the eticket, this means that I would need to exchange the eticket to some official card at Orlando? If yes, what would be required to do the exchange? I may have the opportunity to have a friend buying the tickets for me (usign his american credit card) but he would not be available at Orlando to get the tickets for me. Would that be a problem?

Thanks!!

Hi Ana,

If you are wanting to purchase Disney World tickets, yes, you could purchase the E-Tickets and make FastPass+ reservations in advance. You would need to either have a MagicBand or exchange the E-Ticket at the gate for a physical ticket. If you add the tickets to the cart, you can see all the countries we ship physical tickets to. We also have a UPS location near Universal in Orlando where we can ship tickets to for pickup.

Hello, I apologize if this has been asked already, but my three kids and I are staying with my parents at their place in Florida this June. I'm late at planning and have yet to purchase tickets. Can I purchase tickets and fast passes without a set date? I don't want to have a set date in case of weather. I would prefer to decide on the date/s once we are there and can determine the best day. We will have an hour and a half drive both ways from my parents house to the parks, so I don't want to get there just to be rained out. Any suggestions? I have a 17, 12, 8 year old, so was thinking Magic Kingdom and Epcot? So lost with this. Thank you so much!

Hi, we have bought Disney E-tickets for November this year which I believe must be exchanged at the parks for a physical ticket (we are staying offsite). However, we each have old cards from a visit in February this year which are still showing as active on our MDE account. I have linked our new E-ticket to the same MDE account, does this mean that we can use our old cards to enter the parks without having to visit the will call desk?

Hi Glenda,

If you wish to use the old tickets first, then you do not need to visit Will Call when you first arrive, but you would still need to visit Will Call at some point to get those additional tickets added.

Hi Marian,

First of all, it's not too late to have a great trip. You can purchase tickets (two days and up) without a set date. FastPass+ is included with all tickets. What I would suggest is that you purchase tickets now and make your FastPass+ selections for the days you think you are going. You can always modify.

If you can, arrive ahead of park opening and follow either our touring plans or general maps, which are more flexible and tell you the best time to visit each attraction.
