Walking inside Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is like stepping back in time. Inspired by the real Saratoga Springs, New York, this Victorian, carriage-house-inspired resort serves as a home base for Disney Vacation Club members. But did you know that you don’t have to be a DVC member to stay here? Best of all, rooms are bookable through Undercover Tourist! Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of the biggest DVC Resorts and has a lot to offer, so let's explore this underrated gem.

Overview of Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Guests will be swept away by the ambiance of this resort. With its lush, country-club-style rolling golf course greens, tranquil blue-water pools, circular chandeliers and top-quality wooden flooring, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa lives up to its name as a deluxe resort. The resort's horserace theming will excite any equestrian. Make sure to snag a selfie with the large bronze horse and jockey statue outside the main building!
When you stay at this deluxe resort, you’re only a hop and a skip away from Disney Springs — a shopping and entertainment mecca at Walt Disney World! Take the picturesque walking path for a night on the town before capping your day at this 18th-century-styled hotel that just like the town it’s named after, truly serves as a "Queen of the Spas."
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa Rooms
Disney’s Saratoga Springs offers three room types: deluxe studios, bedroom villas and treehouse villas. (Keep reading to learn more about the villas!)
The deluxe studios are available in either standard or preferred categories and offer views of either the woodlands, water, garden or courtyard. Standard rooms are located in The Paddock, The Carousel and The Grandstand section of the resort, which puts you closest to the Paddock Pool, laundry services and golf course. The Grandstand section of the resort is one of the furthest from Disney Springs. So if you plan on spending time there, bring your favorite pair of walking shoes!
The preferred rooms are in the Congress Park and The Springs sections of the resort. As such, you’ll be closest to the Artist’s Palette, High Rock Spring Pool and Carriage House, which houses the main food area and gift shop. The deluxe studios measure 365 square feet, putting them on par with the majority of other deluxe studios at Disney.
Inside, these rooms come with one queen bed and one double-size pull-down bed, making it suitable for families of four. After a refurbishment that concluded in 2021, the rooms now offer an interactive TV, new flooring and beautiful cream walls with a pop of green. The pull-down bed features animated images of famous Disney horses while the room is decorated with equestrian touches, including over the main bed.
In addition, these deluxe studios come equipped with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable! In-room amenities include a small refrigerator, coffee maker, DVD player, in-room safe, full bathroom, iron and ironing board. The full kitchenette also comes with a microwave, toaster, paper plates and utensils.

Transportation at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
When staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs, you’ll have several transportation options for getting to and from the theme parks and water parks. Since you’re across the way from Disney Springs, you can either hop on a bus or take the pedestrian walkway. Depending on where you are, it’ll take you about 10-20 minutes to reach Disney Springs. When you do, you’ll enter on the Marketplace side.
After wrapping up your day at Disney Springs, instead of walking back, hop on one of the available water taxis docked at "The Landing." If looking to take a water taxi from the resort to Disney Springs, there are two launch points. The first is near the Treehouse Villas and the second is near the Turf Club Bar and Grill.
Just like all the other resorts on property, guests staying here have access to complimentary bus transportation to and from the parks. Due to the sprawling size of the resort (it's 65 acres!), there are five internal bus stops. Depending on your drop-off order, your bus may have to make several stops. For instance, if coming back from Magic Kingdom or another park, your first bus stop will be The Grandstand. Then, there’s The Carousel, The Paddock, Congress Park and then The Springs. If you’re taking a bus back to the resort from Disney Springs, the bus stop order is usually reversed.
Though not offered complimentary, you can also choose to take a Minnie Van to and from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Leap and I usually recommend these at the end of the night when we don’t want to wait for a bus at park close or when trying to make a dining reservation at another resort. You can order a Minnie Van through the Lyft app on your phone. Cost varies, but are usually around $30-$50.
If you plan to use a rental car or drive your own personal vehicle during your vacation, Saratoga Springs may be a great hotel choice to consider since it's a sprawling property.
Amenities, Recreation and Shopping at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
Don’t get us frogs wrong, we love a day at the Disney theme parks! But sometimes, we want to slow down and make some memories. Thankfully, there’s plenty to do to make that happen at Disney's Saratoga Springs!
Moreover, this equestrian-themed resort houses two main pools, three leisure pools, play areas and multiple whirlpool spas that everyone in your party can enjoy. I love relaxing in the horseshoe-shaped whirlpool spa while Leap takes Lily and Tad down the 146-foot waterslide at the Paddock Pool. After she’s done the slide, Lily then races off to the nearby aquatic play area. Can’t get enough of the water, that one!
Alternatively, for activities that aren’t water-related, you have a ton of frogtastic options. We often enjoy the four-person Surrey bike ride around the resort, but they offer solo rentals, too! Wake up early for tee time at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course — an 18-hole golf course that also doubles as a wildlife sanctuary. Leap and Tad love to get a game in before we head to EPCOT for dinner, while Lily and I make crafts at the resort’s Community Hall.
There are plenty of fun activities for tadpoles to enjoy at the Community Hall such as crafting, foosball, ping pong and watching movies. Take a break from the heat and see if you can get a high score at the Win, Place or Show Arcade. Enjoy a quality workout at the Health Club or on the resort’s two jogging trails. Your options are either 0.8 miles or 1.44 miles. After breakfast, play a game of tennis with complimentary rackets or work up a sweat and shoot some hoops at the on-site basketball court.
Before heading in for the night, be sure to stop by the DVC Courtyard to roast some marshmallows over a crackling fire, or catch a film with Movies Under the Stars. If you’re by the pool in the afternoon, you might even get a chance to vote in that night’s movie, which is always a beloved Disney classic! For souvenirs, visit the resort’s two gift shops — the Artist’s Palette and Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Pro Shop. You can also start your magical day with the in-room voice assistant. (Just say "Hey Disney" to activate it.)
Staying at a deluxe resort, also means that you get access to some pretty frogtastic benefits including Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours and the ability to book Lightning Lane passes a week in advance. Choose Single Pass for those can't-miss attractions such as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Or, go with Multi Pass and bypass the line at the majority of the park’s attractions. For guests staying at deluxe resorts and villas, like this one, you’ll also be eligible for Premier Pass. With this pass, you can not only skip the line for most attractions but get into line whenever you want! Say goodbye to selecting your preferred arrival time, as you do with Lightning Lane Multi Pass!
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa also provides the following amenities:
- Laundry and dry cleaning services
- Housekeeping
- Mail services
- Banking services (currency exchanges)
- 24-hour ATM
- Online check-in
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Complimentary self-parking (valet parking $39/night)
Between Tad getting to play foosball, Lily getting to horse around at the playground, and our frog family going on a fishing excursion, we just love our down days at this resort. Disney's Saratoga Springs has got it all!
Dining at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
Similarly, the luxurious theming carries throughout the resort, including your dining options. Like the other resorts on property, Disney’s Saratoga Springs offers ample dining options for snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. And if you want to venture out, you're super close to Disney Springs, which has a plethora of restaurants!
The Artist’s Palette
Located near the Donald Duck Kiddie Fountain and the main swimming pool is the Artist’s Palette. This quick-service restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Here, you can grab Mickey-shaped waffles, Margherita pizza and several dinner exclusives such as sautéed garlic shrimp and home-style meatloaf. These dinner exclusives are available from 4 p.m. until close.
Those on a plant-based diet will have many options, too, including plant-based gyros, steel-cut oatmeal, avocado toast and a variety of diverse salads. Don’t want to sit down and eat? No worries. Pick up one of the famous Saratoga turkey wraps or tuna salad sandwiches and go. Or, go ahead and place your mobile order ahead of time! Creatives and little frogs will love this restaurant with its lime green walls and stunning blown glass lighting cascading from the ceiling. Lunch and dinner here is a work of art!
The Turf Club Bar and Grill
The Turb Club Bar and Grill is the resort’s signature restaurant. Themed to an old-fashioned deluxe horse-racing club, guests can dine on mouth-watering char-grilled New York strip steak and slow-roasted prime rib before indulging in the restaurant’s decadent signature chocolate cake.
Compared to other deluxe resorts, the prices at the Turf Club Bar and Grill are pretty affordable. The most expensive dish on the menu is the slow-roasted Prime Rib at $38. Young frogs will delight in the ability to create their own meal, choosing from main entrees such as cheeseburgers, pan-seared salmon and whole-grain pasta with marinara sauce.
The Turb Club Bar and Grill is perfect for the whole frog family! However, if you’re visiting here on an adult frog-only retreat, cap your night with a drink at the lounge or shoot some pool. Or, grab a seat outside and take in the breathtaking sights of Lake Buena Vista!
The Turf Club Lounge
Located inside the Turb Club Bar and Grill, here’s where you’ll toast to a Disney day well spent. Revel in the lime and smoked chili bitters in the Sunset Margarita while overlooking the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Or show off your adventurous side with the spirited Walk the Plank. The Turb Club Lounge serves a variety of full-bodied wines, draft beers and mocktails. Indulge in a late-night snack like warm buffalo chicken dip or a cheese and charcuterie board.
The Paddock Grill
Take a break from splashing in the Paddock Pool and head over to the Paddock Grill. Situated poolside, this quick-service kiosk offers snacks and meals fit for the whole froggy fam! The tadpoles will love the Mickey-shaped waffles they can get for breakfast, while adult frogs will enjoy sipping on a tropical piña colada.
The Paddock Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner starting at 7:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. They also accept some dining plans, so be sure to ask a cast member at the order window.
Chip 'n Dale's Café
Did you know that everyone’s favorite chipmunks have their own cafe at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort? This quick-service snack stand is located at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course and offers guest favorites including ¼ lb all-beef hot dogs, cucumber salad wraps and ham and cheese sandwiches.
Make your afternoon on the greens more interesting with 30 lunch items to choose from, plus an array of snacks, breakfast options and alcoholic beverages!
Backstretch Pool Bar
Take a break from your backstretches in the pool, and instead, grab a snack at the Backstretch Pool Bar. When open (it operates seasonally), guests can enjoy foot-long hot dogs, Mickey-shaped pretzels, popcorn, churros, and a host of other Saratoga specialties at this old-fashioned red-and-white-themed pool bar.
On the Rocks Pool Bar
Finished swimming at the High Rock Spring Pool? Pull up a chair at the On the Rocks Pool Bar nearby. Here, you can grab a hot Italian panini, one of the resort’s signature salads, a cocktail and a thin-crust pizza! You can cool off with a frosé while the tadpoles sip on a smoothie. Lily loves the Strawberry Smoothie!
The Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
We can’t froget about the villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs! They truly are your home away from home. For villas, you have one, two and three-bedroom options fitting between four and 12 guests.
The three-bedroom Grand Villas are the largest villa options at this resort, coming in at 2,125 square feet. Upon entering, you’ll see beautiful wooden floors, sleek gray countertops, crisp white furniture and pops of blue and green throughout. I toadally love the lamps in the bedroom that look like twigs! What makes these villas unique is that they are two stories! On the first floor, are the living room, kitchen and main bedroom. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms with a bathroom. All three villas offer the same amenities as the deluxe studios. However, they also have a portable crib, dishwasher, pots and pans, washer and dryer, stove, oven and soaker tub.
For a truly unique experience, consider the Treehouse Villas. These rustic-inspired villas sleep nine guests and will make you feel like you’re vacationing in the wilderness, rather than in Central Florida. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with stunning wooden accents, mahogany-shaded marble countertops, and picturesque views of the woodlands. Start your morning on your adjacent outdoor deck. We love watching the FriendShip Boats cruise down the Sassagoula River! At 1,074 square feet, you’ll have all the amenities included with the other villas, including two queen beds, one queen-size sleeper sofa, a bunk bed and a twin-size sleeper chair. Tad and Lily also loved sleeping on the wooden bunk beds! These rooms are most comparable to the theming at Wilderness Lodge.
What to Consider Before Staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
One of the biggest perks of staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is its proximity to Disney Springs. So if you have plans to dine at The Boathouse, Paddlefish or Summer House on the Lake, this resort’s location offers ample time to make your reservations.
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is also only a 10-minute drive to Magic Kingdom, whereas EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are between 15-20 minutes. Deluxe resorts also tend to have the closest bus stops to the parks. These couple of minutes can make a big difference at the end of the night!
Speaking of the resort itself, it offers so many luxuries and amenities that make it the perfect place to spend a non-park day. Grab a drink at the On the Rocks Pool Bar or cap the night with a Movie Under the Stars. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose!
On the flip side, you have to consider the price point of this hotel. The deluxe resorts are the most expensive on Disney World property. While you are paying for the price of convenience to Disney Springs, it's always important to keep your budget in mind. Furthermore, the deluxe studio rooms can feel a bit small for a family of four. This may prompt you to want to book the one-bedroom villa for some extra space and comfort.
Either way, there’s so much to see, do and explore at Disney's Saratoga Springs! Have you ever stayed at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa? Any tips or details you'd love to share? Let us know in the comments.
