Frog Overview

At the all-new educational show Orca Encounter, you and your family will see incredible killer whales while learning about their world and gaining new insight on how to help them.

Orca Encounter offers a highly informative look at killer whales' ecosystems and environments, showing SeaWorld® Orlando guests how the whales live and what they can do to help the whales survive and thrive.

In the words of Dr. Chris Dold, SeaWorld® Chief Zoological Officer, "This educational presentation reflects our company's mission to inspire people and protect the animals and wild wonders of our world through education, research, animal rescue and conservation."

Orca Encounter is a show featuring live animals and trainers at SeaWorld® Orlando. The show's duration is about 23 minutes long. Guests in wheelchairs should enter the stadium through the left, right or center ramps. Seating is available for a guest using a wheelchair and one companion along the promenade and is located in the "Soak Zone." Additional companions may sit in the first row below the promenade in front of their party, if available. Please see a Team Member for assistance or if you prefer to avoid getting wet.

Frog Family Tips and Fun Facts about Orca Encounter

Frog Family Tips

  • Since this is one of the most popular shows at SeaWorld® Orlando, you'll need to arrive at least 20-30 minutes beforehand to get a decent seat. 
  • This is a must-do every time for the Frog Family, even if we have to plan our day around it.
  • The first fews rows are labeled the "Soak Zone." If you want to get soaked with water, sit in those seats. If not, make sure you sit closer to the top.

Fun Facts

  • The show's fountains and geysers spray almost 50 feet into the air!
  • One Ocean, the previous version of Orca Encounter, opened at SeaWorld® Orlando on April 22, 2011.
