The Frog Family follows a general touring plan when we visit SeaWorld® Orlando.
If you are like us and will be traveling with little ones, we suggest experiencing the most popular attractions with the shortest durations when crowds are lowest. For the lowest wait times at SeaWorld® Orlando:
- Plan which day and park to visit using our Crowd Calendar.
- Consider purchasing a Quick Queue if you are visiting on a busy day.
- Stay at an Official Hotel Partner for free access to Quick Queue and early entry on select days in addition to other benefits.
- Arrive at SeaWorld® Orlando before the official opening.
- Ride the most popular attractions with the shortest durations first.
SeaWorld® Orlando Overview
Lush, tropical pathways and greenspaces line this park that features first-class attractions, animal exihibits, aquariums and shows. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes ahead of official park opening. Guests are typically allowed early entry but confined to the main park entrance area until official opening.
By far, the longest waits in the park can be found in Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin®
, a new area built around the attraction/exhibit Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin®. We recommend heading to Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin® at park opening or saving it for the last few hours of the day for the lowest wait times. Nearby Kraken®
, a monstrously good coaster, also sees high waits, especially during the busiest times of the year, followed by Journey to Atlantis®
, a combination dark and water ride nearby, whose wait times spike during the hottest months. Manta®
, one of the very best coasters in all of Florida, typically won’t see waits as high as Kraken® or even Journey to Atlantis® because of the fear factor. We generally visit these rides first thing in the morning and then visit the animal exhibits on the west side of the park, including TurtleTrek®
, before moving onto the Waterfront area, and finally to Shamu’s Happy Harbor and the Wild Artic® Ride
While the park is not divided into lands per se, a whole section of the park — Shamu’s Happy Harbor — is devoted to the wee set, with rides, splash pads and an enormous netted playscape.
Show times are staggered throughout the day, typically starting in the late morning and ending in the late afternoon. During SeaWorld® Orlando's Summer Nights, the park is open later each night and features additional nighttime animal shows and a fireworks finale. We recommend arriving to shows at least 15 minutes prior to show time for the best seats.
