Frog Overview
Go on an adventure in the water passageways of the lost city, Atlantis, in this thrill-packed water coaster! Journey to Atlantis® takes you on a voyage, where you narrowly escape the clutches of an evil Siren desiring to keep you in Atlantis forever. You'll face a 60-foot drop, dark special effects and roller coaster, along with flume ride, elements. It's a mystery as to whether or not you'll escape in time from the dark spirits and forces on Journey to Atlantis®!
Journey to Atlantis®is water flume ride/roller coaster located behind the Whale and Dolphin Theater at SeaWorld® Orlando. The duration of the ride is about 6 minutes. The ride vehicles are actually boats with wheels on the bottom and on the sides. Each boat carries eight guests, arranged into four rows with two passengers each. Each row shares a lap bar restraint. Guests must be at least 42 inches to ride. Guests between 42 and 48 inches tall must be accompanied by a companion at least 14 years old. Guests using a wheelchair enter the main queue then transfer into the ride vehicle.

Frog Family Tips and Fun Facts about Journey to Atlantis®
Frog Family Tips
- Try to go early in the morning or late afternoon for shorter waits. Journey to Atlantis® is a headlining attraction at SeaWorld® Orlando, resulting in long lines during busy times at the park.
- Avoid the ride after one of the nearby shows has ended. The location of the ride, near the Whale and Dolphin Theater, makes it a popular stop for guests exiting the shows.
- Consider saving Journey to Atlantis® for the late afternoon or early evening. The ride is much better, we think, after the sun goes down.
Fun Facts
- Journey to Atlantis® made its debut in 1998 at SeaWorld® Orlando and was the first roller coaster to be installed at the park.
- The ride used to be one of the park's only thrill rides until Kraken® made its debut in 2000.
- The attraction features both roller coaster and flume-ride elements.
