Remember the monster under your bed? Well, it grew up! Kraken®, the monster of all roller coasters, is the tallest, fastest, longest and only floorless roller coaster in Orlando that now features virtual reality.

It will take you to the heights of a 15-story building & turn you upside down seven times, all at speeds reaching 65 mph! Named after a legendary sea monster, Kraken® is a massive, mythological underwater beast that's unleashed from the depths of the sea to take SeaWorld® Orlando guests on the ride of their lives, lifting them higher, dropping them longer & spiraling them faster than any other coaster in Orlando.

Riders' feet dangle as they sit on open-air, pedestal-like seats with nothing around them except shoulder restraints. With a virtual reality experience, you'll race through the ocean and encounter the sea monster. There's no one to hold on to, nothing in front of them & nothing below them, only sky above. 

Kraken® is an outdoor roller coaster with a virtual reality experience at SeaWorld® Orlando. The duration of the ride is about 3 minutes. Each row of the coaster seats four guests. Each seat has a pull-down shoulder restraint. Guests using wheelchairs should inform a Team Member at the entrance. He/she will be directed to enter through the exit located to the far left of the entrance and then up the exit ramp to the station. Guests must transfer from wheelchairs into the ride vehicle.

  • To make sure your wait is minimal, go right after you ride Manta® within the first hour the park is open. 
  • You can’t bring anything with you on the ride, so unless you have non-riders in the group who can hold your things, you must store them in the pay lockers adjacent to the coaster.

  • Kraken® is named after a fictional sea monster. Manufactured by Bollinger & Mabillard, Kraken® was the first floorless roller coaster in the Southern United States. 
  • The coaster travels 4,177 feet in just over two minutes! SeaWorld® Orlando's Kraken® hits speeds up to 65 mph.
