The Frog Family is pleased to announce that we now offer exclusive Disney Cruise Line savings on the Disney Fantasy and on all the other ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet! Knot too shabby, right? Plus, coming this fall, there will be brand-new updates, including poolside tacos & bowls at Ramone's Cantina, updated spaces in Senses Spa & Salon, a new funnel suite, a "Hercules"-inspired Concierge lounge & a new Edge space.

Overview of the Disney Fantasy
The Disney Fantasy is one of six ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. As the sister ship to the Disney Dream, the Fantasy seamlessly combines luxury with classic Disney magic. This ship belongs to the Disney Dream Class and was constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg. The Disney Fantasy embarked on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral, FL on March 31, 2012.
Measuring an impressive 1,115 feet in length and towering 14 decks high, the Disney Fantasy's capacity is 4,000 passengers and with 1,250 staterooms. Its home port remains Port Canaveral, FL. She typically serves as the gateway to 7-night cruises, whisking passengers away to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
As you step aboard the ship, you'll be welcomed into a three-level atrium lobby with a stunning cascading chandelier and a sweeping staircase. A bronze statue of Minnie Mouse in 1920s vintage fashion, holding a parasol and standing beside steamer luggage graces the lobby just next to the staircase.
All of the Disney cruise ships feature a Disney character on their stern. The Disney Fantasy proudly showcases Dumbo! With his adorable ears and a can of paint in his trunk, it looks like he's painting the ship's yellow decorative swirls. For the best view of Dumbo, make sure to take a peek when the ship is docked.
Disney Fantasy Accommodations
The Disney Fantasy has 10 different stateroom options that cater to the preferences and budgets of every guest. There are the Inside Staterooms that are an affordable and comfortable option. These rooms have a classic nautical design with an innovative "Magical Porthole" that offers virtual views of the sea. Surprise Disney characters even make an appearance. Moving up the scale, Oceanview Staterooms have views of the ocean through a large, non-opening porthole or one or two windows.
For a little more space, Disney Fantasy offers Verandah Staterooms. These staterooms come in several subcategories, including Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah and Concierge Royal Suites. These staterooms include a private verandah, allowing breathtaking views and fresh sea air from the comfort of your own space.
The Concierge Royal Suites, which include the Royal Suite and the two-bedroom suite, are the crown jewels of the Fantasy. These opulent suites come with an array of privileges, such as access to the Concierge Lounge (which will be expanded and reimagined to a "Hercules" theme), priority boarding and personalized service. Coming fall 2025, a new funnel suite will debut, paying tribute to Sorcerer Mickey!

Recreation and Entertainment Aboard the Disney Fantasy
When it comes to family fun, the Disney Fantasy cruise ship truly has it all. From splashing in the pools to catching a movie under the stars, there's something for every froggy in your crew.
Character Interactions
On the Disney Fantasy, you'll have the chance to meet your favorite Disney characters up close and personal. Keep an eye on the schedule in the Disney Navigator app for meet-and-greet times and locations. Whether it's Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella or Elsa, a family Disney cruise vacation just wouldn't be complete without a photo with our favorite pals!
Family Pool Areas
You'll want to spend some time on the upper decks enjoying the pool areas. The Disney Fantasy has several family pool areas — Donald's Family Pool and Mickey's Pool. There's also a small quiet pool if you or your kiddos need a more relaxed swim.
The tadpoles will have a blast at Nemo's Reef, a colorful water play area themed after characters from "Finding Nemo." And for the thrill-seekers, there's even the AquaDuck — a water coaster that takes you on a high-speed ride around the entire ship. The views are incredible! For more water fun, the AquaLab on Deck 12 is a play area, where kids can splash and play with water features such as pop jets, geysers and bubblers.
Love watching Disney films? Well, how about watching them poolside? On the Disney Fantasy, you can watch your favorite Disney movies and shows on Funnel Vision — a massive outdoor screen by the pool. Movies play several times throughout the day and evening.
Also hoppenin' on deck is the deck parties such as the Sailing Away Deck Party and Pirates in the Caribbean. The deck parties are a lot of fun and include music, dancing and our frog-favorite, fireworks at sea! The high-energy dance parties that follow are the perfect way to end your night on the Disney Fantasy.
Recreation & Sports
Sports enthusiasts, get ready for a little competition at Goofy's Sports Deck. Here you can participate in different sports activities with an open-air activity center, a miniature golf course, a virtual sports simulator and a basketball court. For a jog or to get in a few extra steps, head to Deck 4 — the outside Promenade Deck. Here, you can take a stroll, play a game of Shuffleboard and enjoy the ocean views.
Deck 4 is where you'll find D Lounge, a family hangout zone that hosts interactive activities. From trivia challenges, to game nights and crafting sessions, it's impossible to be bored. At select times, you can even catch live entertainment. You'll find the schedule of events in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Shopping and Speciality Merchandise
The Disney Fantasy has some great shopping opportunities. You'll find the shops on Deck 3, near the atrium lobby. You'll find a variety of Disney merchandise including Disney-themed clothing, accessories, toys and collectibles at Mickey's Mainsail. Additionally, White Caps carries designer apparel and luxury accessories. If you're interested in capturing the memories of your cruise, visit Shutters Photography Studio. Family portrait sessions with professional photographers are available. It's also where you'll purchase your cruise photo packages.
Theaters and Stage Shows
The Walt Disney Theatre is where you'll find Broadway-style stage shows — "Frozen," "Aladdin" and "Disney's Believe." These productions are not to be missed. The talent and production are just SO good. For movie buffs, the Buena Vista Theatre showcases Disney and Marvel films on a big screen. Snacks and drinks are available at Preludes snack bar for an extra charge.
Midship Detective Agency
The Midship Detective Agency is an activity exclusive to the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. It's an interactive scavenger hunt-style activity for families and tadpoles. Using a special card called a "casebook," you'll adventure to solve mysteries throughout the ship. To play, you'll visit specific artwork pieces that magically come to life by holding up your casebook. Both Tad and Lily love this activity!
Experience for Tadpoles, Tween & Teens
The Disney Fantasy takes kids' entertainment to a new level with its immersive kid's clubs and services. For the littlest cruisers (ages 6 months to 3 years), there's "it's a small world" nursery, where specially trained counselors provide loving care in a clean and colorful childcare area. We recommend making reservations in advance or during the first open house of your sailing. Reservations can fill up quickly. There is an hourly fee for this service.
Older kids (ages 3 to 10) can explore Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab, where themed play zones and interactive adventures await. Whether they're stepping into Andy's Room from Toy Story or exploring the sea in the Explorer Pod, there's no shortage of fun and imagination. Our daughter Lily loves playing here. On our last sailing, she couldn't stop talking about the crafts and games! She also met a new friend and she would bump into them throughout our trip. It was really special to watch this new friendship blossom.
Tweens (ages 11 to 14) can hang out at Edge, while teens (ages 14 to 17) have their own space at Vibe. These cool hangouts offer age-appropriate activities, games and lots of opportunities to make new friends. Our resident teenager, Tad, practically lives in Vibe while aboard the ship. I have a hunch that it was the new video game consoles and giant flat-screen TVs that sucked him in. But what do I know? ;) Later this fall, Edge will move into a new space on Deck 5 with fun, new features.
And for those little princes and princesses who dream of becoming royalty or swashbuckling pirates, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a magical salon experience. With costumes, makeovers and a royal photo shoot, it's a dream come true for young Disney enthusiasts.
Experiences for Adults
The Disney Fantasy is known for its family-friendly atmosphere but also hosts a multitude of adult-only spaces. Depending on what you're looking for — a serene retreat or hoppin' nightly entertainment, you'll find plenty of options just for the grown-up frogs.
Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the family pools, the Quiet Cove Pool is an oasis of calm. Here, you can lounge by the poolside, take a refreshing dip or simply bask in the sun with your favorite book. Don't froget to visit the adjacent Quiet Cove Bar for a refreshing beverage.
Just steps from the Quiet Cove Pool, Cove Café is a haven for lovers of specialty coffees, teas and treats. It's a calm spot to unwind and savor a moment of tranquility. I like to wake up before the family and enjoy a foamy latte in the quiet before the day begins.
For ultimate relaxation, visit the Senses Spa and Fitness Center. The spa offers treatments such as massages, facials or salon services. (Plus, don't miss updated spaces in Senses Spa later this fall!) If you're looking to stay ship-shape, work up a sweat in the state-of-the-art fitness center or join a group fitness class. A frog-favorite is to relax in the therapeutic rainforest-themed showers.
In addition to adult-only spaces and activities, there are also adult dining restaurants. Look no further than Palo or Remy. Palo is an Italian restaurant that serves both brunch and dinner. Remy is an upscale French restaurant that serves a five-course meal crafted by Chef Scott Hunnel, the same chef from the award-winning Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.
You'll want to make these reservations in advance. Both restaurants are very popular and for good reason! Our Remy dinner was the highlight of our last cruise. If you're not able to find a reservation prior to sailing, then be sure to check with Guest Services upon boarding. Reservations do open up and you can also placed on a wait list.
Dining Aboard the Disney Fantasy
Dining aboard the Disney Fantasy is a truly special experience, where culinary delights can be found just around every corner. One of the biggest highlights is the Rotational Dining system, where you'll visit three distinct restaurants, each with its own theming, menu and entertainment. The coolest part is that your serving team follows you to each restaurant. You'll really get to know them throughout your voyage, but they work even harder to become familiar with your travel party.
That basically means that you'll receive some of the best service! Your servers make it a point to learn your names, food preferences, special dietary requests and drink orders. Our servers interacted with Tad and Lily (who can also be picky eaters) and even entertained them with magic tricks and funny jokes.
Animator's Palate: Step into a world of animation at Animator's Palate, where the restaurant itself comes to life as you dine. Watch your favorite Disney characters appear in colorful sketches on the walls. The menu offers a mix of international and Pacific Rim cuisine.
Enchanted Garden: Enchanted Garden is a whimsical restaurant inspired by the gardens of Versailles. During the course of your meal, you'll witness a magical transformation as the restaurant transitions from day to night. The menu features fresh, contemporary dishes with a touch of Disney flair.
Royal Court: Royal Court transports you to the grandeur of classic Disney tales. With a lavish setting reminiscent of Disney princesses' royal courts, you'll savor French-inspired cuisine with a touch of Mediterranean influence.
When you're in the mood for a quick bite on the deck of the Disney Fantasy, the Disney Fantasy definitely has your bases covered. Frozone Treats is the go-to spot for frozen refreshments. There's a selection of smoothies and frozen yogurt to choose from. Nearby, Flo's V-8 Cafe serves up burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, sandwiches and salads. Ramone's Cantina will debut in fall 2025 with poolside tacos and bowls. And if you're craving something sweet, don't miss Eye Scream Treats, where you can cool off with unlimited soft-serve ice cream. Yup ... UNLIMITED!
For breakfast and lunch, we usually head to Cabanas buffet. The breakfast buffet has a spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, steak, pancakes, Mickey waffles, made-to-order omelets, fresh fruits and dessert. And for lunch, you'll discover crips salads, sandwiches, wraps, seafood and even international cuisine.
Vista Cafe is on Deck 4. It's tucked away in a little corner and is a quiet spot to unwind with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, tea or cocktail. The cafe also serves a selection of pastries and light snacks.
Bars and Lounges
In addition to the above dining locations, there's a plethora of bars and lounges to be found throughout the ship.
- O'Gills Pub: An Irish pub-inspired spot with a cozy atmosphere, offering a selection of beers, whiskeys and pub-style snacks.
- Skyline Bar: A chic lounge that features a changing cityscape view, serving up cocktails inspired by famous cities around the world.
- Bon Voyage Bar: Located on Deck 3 in the atrium, this elegant bar is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or cocktails any time of day.
- Meridian: A classy adult-only lounge with a sophisticated ambiance, ideal for quiet conversations and signature cocktails.
- Currents Bar: Situated by the family pool, this bar offers tropical drinks and beverages with a lively, poolside vibe.
- A series of adult-exclusive venues come alive at night: The Tube, an English nightclub; La Piazza, an Italian-inspired lounge; and Ooh La La, a romantic French-inspired lounge.
If you've got a sweet tooth, you won't want to miss Sweet on You on Deck 11. Inspired by the movie "Wreck-It Ralph," this candy wonderland is for anyone with a love for treats. You can indulge in gelato, handmade candies and yummy cupcakes.
And for those late-night cravings or a little extra indulgence, remember that 24-hour room service is available. You can order a variety of treats, including Mickey Ice Cream bars, right to your stateroom.
Things to Know Before You Go
Here are a few more tips that will help you make the most of your Disney Fantasy cruise a memorable and enjoyable voyage:
- Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App: Before you set sail, download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It's your onboard guide, providing schedules, deck plans and the ability to message fellow passengers.
- Internet Services: Internet connectivity at sea can be limited and expensive. Consider purchasing a service plan if you need to stay connected, but be prepared for slower speeds compared to what you're used to on land.
- Cash-Free System: The ship operates on a cash-free system, where all expenses are charged to your room key. Be sure to monitor your onboard account regularly to keep track of your spending.
- Character Meet-and-Greets: If your heart is set on meeting Disney characters, check the daily schedule via the Navigator app for meet-and-greet times and locations. Arrive a bit early to get a good spot in line. Each character typically only meets for 10-15 minutes.
- AquaDuck Timing: Try the AquaDuck waterslide early in the morning or during port days for shorter lines.
- Plan Your Excursions & Onboard Experiences: If you're planning to go on shore excursions or enjoy any paid activities onboard, book them in advance to secure your spots. Popular excursions can fill up quickly.
- Dress Code for Adult-Only Restaurants: If you plan to dine at adult-only restaurants such as Palo or Remy, make sure to check and adhere to the specific dress code. These venues have a more formal atmosphere. Shorts or open-toe shoes are not permitted.
