DisneylandForward

What’s Coming to Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in 2024 and Beyond - Disneyland Forward Artist Rendering of West Side Expansion

It's another step forward for DisneylandForward. Disneyland Resort got its final approval from the City of Anaheim, the city in which it is located, to expand the resort in multiple areas. On May 7, 2024, the city fully approved DisneylandForward. Disneyland hosted community coffees and town halls (May through October 2023) at Anaheim city parks to answer questions and share a long-term plan that may take place over the next few decades. The theme park, retail, hotel, dining, entertainment and parking options all get expanded, utilizing space around the resort. Disneyland will be developing the eastern and western edges of the Disneyland Resort.

What’s Coming to Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in 2024 and Beyond - Disneyland Forward Map The Immersive Theme Park west side expansion includes a theme park expansion on the land that currently surrounds the Disneyland Hotel, parts of Downtown Disney, Disney's Pixar Place Hotel and some surrounding parking lots. The streets that surround this area include Katella Avenue, Walnut Street and Magic Way.

The other major area involved in the east-side expansion is the current Toy Story lot near the Anaheim Convention Center. The Disney Entertainment Destination expansion includes hotels, retail, dining, entertainment and theme park experiences.

A parking lot off Disney Way with a pedestrian bridge across Harbor Boulevard could create a new access point to Disneyland. The bridge would upgrade accessibility for hotels and businesses located along Harbor Boulevard. Disney is not asking for any public funding to complete this project.

As mentioned earlier, Disney confirmed that "Avatar" and "Coco" attractions are already in the works!

There are eight more potential projects themed around "Frozen," "Tangled," "Peter Pan," "Zootopia," "Toy Story" "Black Panther," "Encanto" and "Tron." That could include new lands and attractions.

We literally just returned home from a 2 week vacation to Disney World in FL this morning. Bought a 5 day park hopper from Undercover Tourist and upgraded it to an annual pass when we arrived. Despite the $300 savings off the gate price by buying the 3 park hopper tickets when we went to upgrade to an annual pass, Disney gave us that $300 savings towards the annual passes by crediting the full value of each ticket that we would have paid had we bought them at the gate, it was a great savings towards 3 annual passes plus we enjoyed the 20% discount on park merchandise. We will definitely be buying any future tickets to parks with Undercover!! Hoping to go to Universal in the near future on our next vacation!!! If you want to save money buy from Undercover Tourist every time you go to the parks, you won’t be disappointed.
