Where to Find Thanksgiving Dinner (Or a Turkey Leg) at Disney World

by Mommy Frog on November 3, 2016 23

Thanksgiving Dinner at Disney World 2017 - Mickey and Minnie

This Thanksgiving, thousands upon thousands will descend upon Disney World for some quality family bonding. While Thanksgiving is a relatively low-key theme park affair, Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World is not! So while the parks will already be decked in their holiday decorations, you will find special Thanksgiving dining options at all of the parks for 2017.

Listed below are the restaurants that will offer special holiday menus for Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World 2017. They include roasted turkey breast with all the trimmings PLUS ...

... Norwegian meatballs and pan-seared salmon at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

... poppy seed lavash, house-made naan, and apple-cranberry achar at Sanaa

... and many other unique dishes.

At this point, only a handful of restaurants have reservations available for Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World, although there are more options for lunch. If you cannot snag an Advance Dining Reservation, don't fret! Keep trying in the days leading up to your visit, especially in the two or three days leading up to Thanksgiving and as families have plans change and don't want to incur the reservation penalty. Cancellations do happen! Even if they don't, you can ask about availability at the restaurant directly. We've put asterisks next to those restaurants that have a better chance of walk-up availability.

Hello, any restaurants on property that will have thanksgiving dinner or close to the weekend before? I'll be there November 17-20.

Hi Keiny,

It looks like most of the restaurants only serve Thanksgiving dinner on actual Thanksgiving Day. You can, however, grab a turkey leg on any day!

I was wondering if you could tell me where to find the Thanksgiving day menu for Trattoria Al Forno? Everywhere I look only gives the typical Italian menu. It was the only place we were able to reserve this close to the holiday, and it said it was having Thanksgiving dinner but no information on exactly what that is.

Hi Vanessa,

It's tricky finding Thanksgiving menus! Have you tried calling? You can expect traditional Thanksgiving dinner options with the restaurant's own twist.

Hi Jessica,

It looks like Tony's Town Square Restaurant will not be serving a Thanksgiving menu this year. We've updated this post with 2016's options. Keep trying for reservations leading up to your visit; one just might open up! If you aren't able to snag an advanced reservation, always try the day of to see if there is any walk-up availability.

Hi Noemi,

The dining options are typically not announced until closer to the holiday. I would check back in October or early November.

Hi Britt,

Disney doesn't typically release this information until the fall. We think Whispering Canyon Cafe is a more fun, lively choice for Thanksgiving (or anytime!), but it really depends on you and what your family enjoys.

Hi Angela,

This information isn't usually revealed so far in advance (check back in early November), but this is a great restaurant choice!

We have a reservation at the California Grill on T-giving and cannot find the menu for that day... Do they have turkey and how much is it?

Hi Cheryl,

They will be offering a traditional menu with roasted turkey, green beans, cornbread stuffing and truffled potatoes. Their is no price listed for the Thanksgiving menu, but the regular cost of dining ranges from $30-$59.99 per person.

Hi Renee,

Fort Wilderness has a couple of great options right there. There is a special version of Mickey's Backyard BBQ called Mickey's Backyard Thanksgiving Feast that could be a lot of fun for families and a variety of age groups. Trail's End Restaurant is also at Fort Wilderness and has a delicious buffet as well.

My other pick would be Raglan Road if it's an adult crowd. They usually serve a Thanksgiving special for $28/pp and it's always a good time with live music and dancers, and a fantastic bar.

Hoppy planning!
