Where to Find Thanksgiving Dinner (Or a Turkey Leg) at Walt Disney World

by Mommy Frog on November 10, 2020 28 Orlando

Where to Find Thanksgiving Dinner at Disney World - PinterestWhat better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than with a turkey feast at Disney World? Our frog squad has so much to be thankful for this year. We've had so many ribbiting adventures in the parks and we truly enjoy sharing our Disney tips with all of you. Thank you, frog followers! Thanksgiving is pretty low-key at Disney, and the parks will already be decking the halls for the holidays. However, this doesn't mean you can't savor a delicious Thanksgiving feast at Disney World.

While only a handful of restaurants have reservations available for Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World, there are more options for lunch. If you can't snag an Advance Dining Reservation, don't fret! Keep trying in the days leading up to your visit, especially in the two or three days leading up to Thanksgiving Day. Cancellations do happen! Even if they don't, you can now check for restaurants walk-up availability using the My Disney Experience app. My Disney Experience is also where you can place a Mobile Order at select restaurants. And remember: to dine at a table-service restaurant inside of a theme park, you need both valid park admission and a Disney Park Pass for the same park, on the same day. To dine at a resort hotel restaurant, you'll need a reservation and will be subject to a temperature screening. For more information about current dining policies at Walt Disney World, hop over to our full guide!

Below is a list of restaurants we expect to serve up some Thanksgiving-style deliciousness based on what has been offered in recent years. We've noted the restaurants that we know are serving up traditional Thanksgiving fare, as well. You can also check My Disney Experience when you go to book a reservation, as Thanksgiving offerings will be listed on the menu if a restaurant is offering any.

Our take for 2020: If Liberty Tree Tavern or Garden Grill aren't available, Disney Springs has a bounty of delicious options this year. You could even do a casual, quick-service Turkey Day hop to try out a variety of your favorite special offerings (we've personally got our eyes on that Holiday Turkey Sandwich and Pumpkin Cupcake — which would also make an amazing day-after tour!). Enough jabbering. Let's talk turkey!

Oct 13, 2020 at 11:19 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Tatty!

We haven't heard anything just yet, but keep hopping back, as we'll update as soon as we hear more! We will say that the restaurant in Magic Kingdom that most reminds us of the traditional Thanksgiving fare is Liberty Tree Tavern, which you can make a dining reservation for 60 days in advance of your visit :)

Any insider knowledge on thanksgiving quick service places?

Nov 15, 2016 at 3:09 a.m. Keiny Says...

Hello, any restaurants on property that will have thanksgiving dinner or close to the weekend before? I'll be there November 17-20.

Nov 15, 2016 at 1:59 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Keiny,

It looks like most of the restaurants only serve Thanksgiving dinner on actual Thanksgiving Day. You can, however, grab a turkey leg on any day!

Does Chef Mickey’s have nay traditional Thanksgiving good on Thanksgiving Day? Thanks for the response!!

Oct 25, 2019 at 2:15 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Michael!

We gave Disney Dining a call, and there either isn't a special menu listed just yet, or they won't offer it this year. We've got our eyes and ears open for any changes!

I was wondering if you could tell me where to find the Thanksgiving day menu for Trattoria Al Forno? Everywhere I look only gives the typical Italian menu. It was the only place we were able to reserve this close to the holiday, and it said it was having Thanksgiving dinner but no information on exactly what that is.

Nov 15, 2016 at 2:12 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Vanessa,

It's tricky finding Thanksgiving menus! Have you tried calling? You can expect traditional Thanksgiving dinner options with the restaurant's own twist.

Nov 15, 2016 at 2:09 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Jessica,

It looks like Tony's Town Square Restaurant will not be serving a Thanksgiving menu this year. We've updated this post with 2016's options. Keep trying for reservations leading up to your visit; one just might open up! If you aren't able to snag an advanced reservation, always try the day of to see if there is any walk-up availability.

grand floridian cafe or wispering canyon cafe for thanksgiving dinner or best place outside the parks? i dont see anything about 2016 thanksgiving? Thanks

May 31, 2016 at 5:29 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Britt,

Disney doesn't typically release this information until the fall. We think Whispering Canyon Cafe is a more fun, lively choice for Thanksgiving (or anytime!), but it really depends on you and what your family enjoys.

Hi Cheryl,

They will be offering a traditional menu with roasted turkey, green beans, cornbread stuffing and truffled potatoes. Their is no price listed for the Thanksgiving menu, but the regular cost of dining ranges from $30-$59.99 per person.

my family is coming in for a wedding thanksgiving weekend we are wondering where would be the best sit down thanksgiving dinner at disney world we are staying at fort wilderness camp ground in the cabins

Aug 5, 2015 at 11:33 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Renee,

Fort Wilderness has a couple of great options right there. There is a special version of Mickey's Backyard BBQ called Mickey's Backyard Thanksgiving Feast that could be a lot of fun for families and a variety of age groups. Trail's End Restaurant is also at Fort Wilderness and has a delicious buffet as well.

My other pick would be Raglan Road if it's an adult crowd. They usually serve a Thanksgiving special for $28/pp and it's always a good time with live music and dancers, and a fantastic bar.
