Interactive Disney Cruise Activities
Onboard every Disney ship, you will find a variety of interactive Disney cruise activities, including games and recreation.
Disney Uncharted Adventure
Available on the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, Disney Uncharted Adventure is an app-based game that transforms your phone into a magical spyglass. Players explore the ship from Deck 3 to Deck 6, interacting with digital displays, artwork and onboard technology to help characters like Moana and Peter Pan recover lost constellations. It’s a fun activity for the whole family and guests of all ages. Once onboard the ship, you can access the game via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and play it throughout your cruise, earning awards and achievements.
Midship Detective Agency
Guests aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy can join the Midship Detective Agency. This interactive mystery game turns the entire ship into your investigation playground. This self-paced experience is perfect for guests of all ages who enjoy a good puzzle, but with a Disney twist. The game begins at the Detective Agency kiosk on Deck 5 near the "it's a small world" nursery. There, players choose a case, receive a detective badge (a card with a unique QR code), a casebook and a pencil.
Participants can pick from three storylines:
- The Case of the Plundered Paintings, where Mickey and friends need your help to recover stolen artwork.
- The Case of the Missing Puppies, featuring Roger Radcliffe and Pongo as they search for the missing 99 Dalmatian puppies.
- The Case of the Stolen Show, where the Muppets scramble to retrieve their lost props before showtime.
Using your detective badge, you’ll visit enchanted pieces of artwork across Decks 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9. The artwork comes to life with animation and audio when activated, presenting clues, mini-games and interactive tasks that guide you toward solving the case. Each mystery typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour, but you can spread the activity throughout your cruise.
Midship Detective Agency is especially appealing to elementary and middle school-aged kids, but the humor and design are broad enough to make it fun for teens and adults, too.

Goofy's Sports Deck
Goofy’s Sports Deck is an open-air area on Deck 13 on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Here, guests of all ages can stay active while taking in those ocean views. The area includes a mini golf course, basketball court, ping-pong tables and more.
You’ll also find Goofy's Sports Simulator for an extra fee, where you can play virtual games of basketball, football, hockey, soccer, baseball or golf. Prices start at $30 for a 30-minute session for up to four people. You make reservations in advance based on your Castaway Club stats.
Wide World of Sports Deck
If you're sailing on the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder, the Wide World of Sports Deck is the go-to for recreation. Located on Deck 10, this space has areas to shoot hoops or enjoy a game of ping-pong.
We love to go as a family and it's great for Tad and Lily to get some fresh air and burn off energy between meals and time spent in the kids clubs. You'll also find crew-led games and casual competitions happening here throughout your cruise.
Hero Zone
Hero Zone on Deck 12 is an indoor multipurpose space aboard the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, designed for families to play together and test their athletic skills. This arena transforms throughout the day to host a rotating schedule of interactive Disney cruise activities, open gym sessions and organized games.
One of the signature events held here is the Incredi-Games, a giant bounce house-style obstacle course inspired by "The Incredibles." Families compete in challenges that test agility, strength and teamwork, from leaping over hurdles to balancing on beams.
In addition to the Incredi-Games, the Hero Zone also features free play sessions with equipment such as basketballs, dodgeballs and foosball tables, as well as family dodgeball tournaments and table tennis competitions. The venue also transforms into a lounge area for Edge and Vibe teen meetups.
AquaDunk, AquaDuck and AquaMouse Water Coasters
Unique to the Disney Magic, the AquaDunk starts with a vertical launch capsule where the floor suddenly drops out, sending you through a clear tube that twists out over the side of the ship before splashing down several decks below.
The AquaDuck, available on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, is a 765-foot-long water coaster. Riders climb into a two-person raft before launching into a high-speed tube that twists and turns along the perimeter of the ship, including a transparent section suspended over the ocean. With surprising drops, a conveyor belt lift and plenty of splashy turns, it's a favorite for thrill-seekers.
On the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, the AquaMouse is "Disney’s first attraction at sea." Located on the pool deck, this ride is part water coaster, part Disney attraction. Guests board their raft and are immediately plunged into a story featuring Mickey and Minnie, with show scenes from animated shorts playing on screens inside a tunnel. After the story-driven intro, the raft takes off through winding tubes and dips around the top deck, with ocean views and a few surprises along the way.
Both the AquaDuck and AquaMouse have height requirements (42" to ride with an adult, 48" to ride alone) and may temporarily close in inclement weather. For the best experience, ride early in the day or during port stops when lines are shorter. And if you can, try riding at night — both coasters are beautifully lit.
Other Recreation Activities
In addition, every Disney cruise ship has even more ways to stay active and engaged. Hop over to enjoy the fully equipped fitness center, join an instructor-led workout class, unwind with a spa treatment at Senses Spa & Salon or just relax at the adult-only pool area. For families, there are multiple pools and Disney-themed water play areas for the tadpoles.
Disney Cruise Activities at the Kids Clubs
Oceaneer Club and Lab (3 to 10 years)
Disney Cruise Line’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are fully immersive youth spaces designed for children ages 3 to 10. The clubs are on all ships and provide some of the most hands-on and fun experiences for young cruisers. The Oceaneer Club is located on Deck 5 on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, Deck 5 on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy and Deck 2 on the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny with a slide entrance from the Grand Hall.
Each ship includes themed areas based on Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars stories. For example, on the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, the Oceaneer Club includes:
- Marvel Super Hero Academy: Where young recruits train with Avengers like Spider-Man and Black Panther using interactive technology and games.
- Fairytale Hall: A regal space with three themed rooms — Rapunzel’s Art Studio, Belle’s Library and Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus, where there's storytime, crafts and character visits.
- Star Wars: Cargo Bay: Kids care for creatures from across the galaxy while helping Rey and Chewbacca on a mission to protect the ship.
- Walt Disney Imagineering Lab: A creative space where kids learn what it takes to be a Disney Imagineer, experiment with creating their own roller coaster track and explore behind-the-scenes magic.
Additionally, there are group activities scheduled daily and include everything from slime-making and science experiments to cooking classes and animation workshops. Kids might even get a surprise visit from Mickey, Goofy or even a Disney Princess. Other activities include dance parties, trivia games and even Superhero training sessions, depending on the ship’s programming.
Edge (11 to 14 years)
Edge is a casual hangout space designed just for tweens ages 11 to 14. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, Edge is located on Deck 5. On the Magic and Wonder, you'll find Edge on Deck 9. On the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, it’s located on Deck 5. Disney cruise activities at Edge include video game tournaments, karaoke nights, animation challenges, scavenger hunts and themed parties. Like all the kids clubs onboard, Edge is staffed by Disney youth counselors and provides a mix of structured events and flexible chill time so tweens can hang out at their own pace.
Vibe (14 to 17 years)
Vibe is the space for teens ages 14 to 17. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the entrance to Vibe is located on Deck 5 and also has access to a sun deck. On the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, Vibe sits up on Deck 12 with floor-to-ceiling windows and cozy lounge seating. And on the Magic and Wonder, you’ll find it on midship on Deck 11. Activities range from film nights and trivia competitions to dance parties, talent shows and special group excursions in port. Teens can also enjoy activities tailored just for them during themed nights or special events such as Pirate Night.
“it’s a small world” nursery! (6 months to 3 years)
For your youngest tadpoles, the "it’s a small world" nursery is a safe, nurturing space for babies and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years. Located on Deck 5 on the Disney Magic, Dream, Fantasy and Wonder, and Deck 2 on the Disney Wish, Treasure and Destiny, the nursery is themed with bright colors and cheerful Disney details inspired by the iconic theme park attraction. Parents can reserve nursery time in advance through the Disney cruise website or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Trained counselors lead age-appropriate play, storytelling, music and nap time routines.
Broadway-Style Stage Shows
Every Disney Cruise Line ship features its own lineup of Broadway-style stage productions, performed in the onboard Walt Disney Theatre on all ships. These live shows are included in your cruise fare and are a must-see during your sailing. These theaters offer plush seating, state-of-the-art lighting and impressive stage effects.

The Dream also offers the original production "The Golden Mickeys." And in "Disney’s Believe," enjoy favorite Disney songs from Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Cinderella and more when the Genie from Aladdin grants a young girl’s wish.
Disney Fantasy
Aboard the Disney Fantasy, you'll find "Disney's Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular," transporting you to Agrabah with magic carpet rides and the hilarious Genie. You can also see "Frozen: A Musical Spectacular," which brings Arendelle to life with snow, magic and your favorite songs. You can also catch "Disney’s Believe" on this ship.

The Disney Wish is home to "Disney’s The Little Mermaid," a reimagined, contemporary stage adaptation that takes audiences under the sea with dazzling projections and choreography. The Wish also offers "Disney Seas the Adventure," a welcome show starring Captain Minnie and Goofy and "Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular."
Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure recently debuted a new production, "Disney The Tale of Moana." Adapted from the hit animated film, this show celebrates Moana’s journey of courage and discovery with beautiful music, choreography and island-inspired visuals. And "Disney Seas the Adventure," the same high-energy embarkation show featured on the Wish. Plus, "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" is available on this ship, too.

Buena Vista Theatre, Wonderland Cinema & Never Land Cinema
The Buena Vista Theatre is Disney Cruise Line’s onboard movie theater, where you can catch first-run Disney, Pixar and Star Wars films during your voyage. And if you're in the mood for a treat, you can splurge on popcorn, candy and drinks from Preludes snack stand just outside.
On the Wish Class ships, the theatres are named the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas. Be sure to check out the theming while you're there!
Daily Disney Cruise Activities
No matter which ship you're on or where you're sailing, Disney Cruise Line keeps the fun going all day, and well into the night. You’ll find a full schedule of activities listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. If you’re curious about a specific activity, just stop by Guest Services or ask a crew member for more details.
Most activities are complementary and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some, such as the beverage tastings and mixology classes, come with an extra fee and require a reservation. You can book these in advance (based on your Castaway Club level) or check availability once you're onboard.
We've listed a few of our favorite activities below, but keep in mind that options can vary depending on your itinerary.
Adult Beverage Tasting Seminars
Adults can book wine tastings, mixology classes and spirit tastings. These popular experiences must be reserved early via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and trust us, they’re toadally worth it.
Guests can sign up for themed tastings such as champagne and sparkling wine, whiskey and bourbon, tequila and margarita, beer flights or even mixology workshops where you'll learn to craft classic and modern cocktails. Sessions are led by expert bartenders and sommeliers, offering background on drink origins, tasting techniques and perfect pairings.
These events are located on all the ships in the bars and lounges, but are typically limited to a small group.
Character Interactions
While you’ll find character meet-and-greets in the atrium or Grand Hall, spontaneous interactions occur during deck parties, in the youth clubs and even in several of the dining rooms. Characters may lead dance sessions or games, especially on themed nights and sea days. Keep your eyes peeled because you never know who might hop by! You'll also find scheduled meets in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Art, Animation and Crafts
Disney cruise activities, such as character animation drawings and other crafts, are offered on all ships. Most of these sessions are drop-in, while others require registration via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Trivia and Game Shows
Daily trivia contests and interactive games are hosted in various lounges on all ships. Categories may include Disney animation, Marvel, music and general knowledge. Winners can receive fun Disney cruise-themed prizes, medals and maybe even a little bragging rights among your fellow cruisers. The Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will showcase which events are family-friendly and which are for adults only.
Pirate Night
A signature event on most Caribbean and Bahamian sailings, Pirate Night is a full evening celebration filled with entertainment and swashbuckling fun. The festivities typically begin in the late afternoon with pirate-themed crafts and games in the youth clubs and family lounges. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their swashbuckling best, so be sure to pack a fun pirate outfit for the whole family.
Dinner in the main Rotational Dining rooms transforms into a pirate feast. The themed menu features pirate-inspired dishes and fun drink specials.
Later in the evening, the excitement moves to the pool deck for the highlight of the night: The Pirates in the Caribbean Deck Party on the Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy or the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party on the Wish, Treasure and Disney Destiny. These performances feature characters, dancing and music. The evening culminates with Disney Cruise Line's iconic fireworks at sea.
Deck Parties
Disney Cruise Line hosts a variety of themed deck parties across its fleet that bring music, characters and high-energy fun to the upper decks. These events hoppen on the pool deck and are designed to entertain guests of all ages with dancing, live performances and surprise appearances.
The Sail Away Celebration kicks off on every cruise. This party features Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie and the gang, upbeat music and the ship’s horn sounding off with the iconic “When You Wish Upon a Star” tune. Guests gather on the pool deck and upper balconies to dance and sing as the ship pulls away from port.
