A Hero's Introduction to the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship

As the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Destiny set sail in November 2025! Her inaugural voyage makes her the fleet’s third Wish Class ship, following the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. With a Heroes and Villains theme, the Disney Destiny invites guests to step into the stories of some of Disney’s most iconic characters, from brave heroes to mischievous foes and lovable sidekicks, all brought to life through imaginative design, immersive spaces and dazzling entertainment.

Packed with new amenities, experiences, entertainment and restaurants (plus some returning favorites from other ships), the Disney Destiny combines Disney storytelling with cutting-edge technology.

Disney Destiny Sailings & Destinations

  • 4-Night Bahamian Cruises: These sailings typically include a stop at one of Disney's private Bahamian islands, Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Some itineraries include a visit to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.
  • 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruises: Explore the beautiful waters of the Western Caribbean with stops in Cozumel, Mexico, and a day at Castaway Cay.
  • 5-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruises: These voyages offer a mix of sea days and port visits, providing a relaxing and scenic cruise experience.

Each sailing includes a day of fun in the sun at either Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Disney Destiny Staterooms Overview

Every stateroom on the Disney Destiny is designed for adventurers of all ages, from heroic tadpoles to savvy frog fams. With 1,256 staterooms across multiple decks, the ship offers layouts, themes and price points that match every journey.

Staterooms even come with a secret code — the letters and numbers after the category, like 11A, 11B or 11C. These codes are like a treasure map. “A” and “B” rooms are closer to midship, where the seas are calm and tadpoles can sleep soundly. Rooms ending in “C” or other letters sit toward the bow or stern.

Families and groups will love that 451 connecting cabins make it easy to hop between rooms, while 35 wheelchair-accessible options ensure that every family can sail in comfort.

Disney Destiny Deck Themes

Each deck on the Disney Destiny sets the stage for an unforgettable stay, with staterooms designed to immerse guests in Disney’s heroes and villains. Just like her sister ships, the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, the staterooms on the Destiny bring unique worlds to life — from legendary adventures to futuristic escapades — so your squad can hop in and experience the adventure from the moment you step onboard.

  • Decks 2, 6, 7: Legendary worlds of "Hercules" and "Mulan" bring courage and determination to life.
  • Decks 8, 9: Fearless spirit of "Raya and the Last Dragon" and "Brave," inspired by Southeast Asia and the Scottish Highlands.
  • Decks 10, 11: Futuristic fun with "Big Hero 6" and "The Incredibles."
  • Decks 12, 13: Concierge-level rooms inspired by "Fantasia," plus Hero Suites honoring "Hercules" and IncrediSuites from "The Incredibles."
  • Deck 14: Tower Suite paying homage to "Iron Man" and "The Avengers."

Disney Destiny Stateroom Categories

The Disney Destiny offers four main categories of staterooms, each with a range of types and deck locations:

Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms

These staterooms include a queen bed, sofa bed, and in most rooms, a pull-down bed for a fourth guest. Families will appreciate the split-bathroom layout (a personal favorite), separating the toilet and sink from the vanity and tub-shower combo and a privacy curtain between the sleeping and sitting areas, giving parents and tadpoles their own space to recharge.

Family Oceanview Staterooms

The Family Oceanview Staterooms are slightly larger and designed specifically for families who want a little more space. They often include an additional pull-down bed or wall bed, letting up to five guests rest comfortably while still enjoying all the clever Disney design details.

Disney Cruise Line is committed to ensuring every guest can enjoy a magical, stress-free vacation. The Disney Destiny offers a variety of accessible staterooms and suites, along with specialized services and thoughtful design features to make travel comfortable for all. Accessible accommodations are limited, so it’s recommended to book early to secure the best room.

Accessible Stateroom Features

  • Room layout: wider doorways, ramped bathroom thresholds, open bed frames, lower towel/closet bars
  • Bathroom design: roll-in showers with fold-down seats, grab bars, adjustable-height showerheads, accessible vanities
  • Special equipment: bedrails, raised or portable toilets, shower stools, transfer benches available upon request
  • Communication enhancements: visual alert panels, vibrating bed shakers, strobe smoke detectors, TTY/text typewriters

Communication Staterooms

For guests with hearing disabilities, the Disney Destiny offers Communication Staterooms with built-in features including doorbell and smoke detector visual indicators, light panel signals for calls, alarms, and notifications and vibrating bed shakers.

Guests or travel companions with disabilities or medical needs can submit a Request Special Services form to ensure all requirements are met.

Wheelchairs & Mobility Equipment

Most public spaces on the Disney Destiny, including theaters, restaurants and shops are wheelchair accessible. Guests must provide their own mobility equipment, stored inside staterooms or designated areas. Some activities, like pools or tenders, may require transferring from a wheelchair, so sailing with a companion is recommended.

Tips for Booking the Perfect Disney Destiny Stateroom

Whether you’re booking a cozy Inside Stateroom, a spacious Verandah or a luxurious Concierge Suite, these tips will help you pick the stateroom that’s just right for your family.

Disney Destiny Staterooms - Towel Animal

  • Book early: Popular rooms, especially Concierge staterooms and suites, fill fast. Early booking gives you the best chance at your preferred theme, deck and view.
  • Choose your theme: Each deck tells a story: "Hercules," "Mulan," "Brave," "Raya," "Big Hero 6," "The Incredibles," "Fantasia" or Marvel. Concierge rooms offer "Fantasia" retreats, Hero Suites honoring Hercules or Tony Stark-inspired Tower Suite. Picking a theme makes your stay extra magical.
  • Think about location: Midship staterooms on lower or middle decks feel more stable. Forward or aft rooms may experience more movement. Higher decks offer quicker access to pools and lounges. Avoid rooms near elevators, stairwells, nightclubs, galleys or laundry if noise matters.
  • Consider family needs: Adjoining rooms allow easy access while maintaining privacy. Both standard and concierge rooms offer interconnecting options. Concierge suites may have larger living areas or multiple bedrooms.
  • Balance view, space and amenities: Inside rooms are cozy and economical. Oceanview rooms have a view of the sea from your window. Verandah staterooms let you step outside anytime. Concierge rooms add private balconies, whirlpools, wet bars, multiple bathrooms and even private elevators.
  • Plan for seasickness: Guests prone to motion sickness should pick midship rooms on lower decks. Forward or aft rooms may feel a bit more movement
  • Leverage Concierge perks: Early booking for dining, spa treatments, Port Adventures and other experiences is included. A dedicated Concierge team can help plan everything from pre-arrival to onboard celebrations.
  • Check for “guaranteed” stateroom options: Flexible travelers may find savings in categories like IGT, OGT or VGT in exchange for less control over exact deck or room location.
  • Watch for obstructed or angled windows: Some Oceanview and Verandah rooms may have partial obstructions or slanted panes, so double-check those deck plans and the fine print before booking.
