Frequently Asked Questions about Universal Epic Universe Tickets

What is Epic Universe?

Epic Universe is Universal Orlando Resort's fourth theme park, with five immersive worlds we can't wait to jump into: Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic.

When is Epic Universe opening?

Universal Epic Universe opens May 22, 2025.

Where is Epic Universe?

Epic Universe is in Orlando, Florida, as part of Universal Orlando Resort. Epic Universe will be located on a 750-acre site near the Orange County Convention Center, just south of Sand Lake Road and east of Universal Boulevard.

When will tickets for Epic Universe go on sale?

Epic Universe tickets are on sale now — including 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-day Universal Orlando tickets with Epic Universe access! Epic Universe 1-day tickets are also now available (for use starting June 1, 2025).

How much are Epic Universe tickets?

Ticket pricing varies by date (for all ticket types). Multi-day Universal Orlando tickets with Epic Universe range from $245 (2-day base ticket) to $467 (3-park, 4-day park-to-park ticket). (Don't froget — no matter the ticket, Undercover Tourist can save you some green on your Universal Orlando tickets — up to $124 per ticket!)

How many days can I go?

Right now, the maximum number of days you can visit Epic Universe with a single ticket is 1 day (whether through a 1-day ticket or a multi-day ticket).

Can I just visit Epic Universe?

Yes! 1-day Epic Universe tickets are available now.

Will Epic Universe have Express Pass?

Express Passes featuring Epic Universe will be sold at a later date.

Do I need a reservation to visit Epic Universe?

No, you will not need a reservation to enter Epic Universe. However, you will need to select your start date for your Universal Orlando Resort tickets when you purchase them.

Can I choose which day I visit Epic Universe?

All Universal Orlando Resort tickets require that you select a start date. However, since no reservations are required, you can choose the order in which you visit the parks.

What does "2 Park" and "3 Park" mean?

Want to visit Universal Volcano Bay water theme park too? Look for a ticket that says “3 Park.” A "2 Park" ticket includes access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. Look for "PLUS Epic Universe" if you would like to include Epic Universe in your visit.

What's the difference between Park-to-Park and Base?

The Park-to-Park option allows you to jump freely between Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. Note that you can only board the Hogwarts Express with a Park-to-Park ticket. If you are OK visiting one park per day, you should opt for a Base ticket instead. The Park-to-Park benefit will not extend to Universal Epic Universe upon opening. However, tickets that offer Park-to-Park access will still enable you to jump freely between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. If you have a ticket that includes Volcano Bay, you may also jump here.

Are there any Florida resident or military tickets?

As of Feb. 21, 2025, Universal is directly offering 3-Day Florida resident tickets (with 3-Park and 2-Park options) and Florida resident vacation packages — both of which include 1 day at Epic Universe. Universal also directly offers a 1-Day Epic Universe Add-on Ticket for Military Freedom Pass Promotional Ticket holders.

Will Epic Universe have Park-to-Park access?

No. Epic Universe will not have Park-to-Park access when it opens, giving you a full day to experience all this brand-new park has to offer.

Will Epic Universe have Early Park Admission?

Yes. Guests of the Universal Orlando hotels all receive Early Park Admission, granting access to the theme parks up to an hour before opening. Early Park Admission for Epic Universe will begin May 23, 2025 (the day after the park officially opens). The available attractions will be Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, Yoshi's Adventure, Mine-Cart Madness and Stardust Racers.

Which hotels are closest to Epic Universe?

Universal Helios Grand Hotel will have its very own entrance into Epic Universe! Nearby will be sister hotels, Universal Stella Nova and Universal Terra Luna Resorts. Psst ... bundle your Universal hotel stay with your theme park tickets to save even more on your Universal Orlando Resort vacation when you book through Undercover Tourist!

Plan Your Days at Universal Orlando Resort

Not-to-Miss Universal Studios Florida - Mummy

Here are a few examples of what your vacation might look like based on the Universal Orlando Resort ticket you choose. Remember to look at your ticket usage window, as your days don't have to be used consecutively!

Universal 2-Park 4-Day (Base) PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket would give 5 days of park access, without the hopping capability — 1 day of which can be dedicated to Universal Epic Universe only. This ticket has an 8-day usage window. That means your visit might look something like:

  • Day 1: Universal Islands of Adventure on arrival day, including a stop for grilled cheese and tomato soup at Mythos
  • Day 2: Universal Epic Universe
  • Day 3: Sleep in and enjoy your hotel — brunch and a pool day!
  • Day 4: Universal Studios Florida
  • Day 5: Universal Islands of Adventure
  • Day 6: Rest day — do some shopping or watch a movie at CityWalk
  • Day 7: Universal Studios Florida

Dinosaur Lovers Universal Orlando - VelociCoaster Entrance

Universal 3-Park 3-Day (Park-to-Park) PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket grants you 4 total days of park access, plus Volcano Bay access, with the park-to-park benefit — 1 day of which is dedicated to Epic Universe. This ticket has a 7-day usage window. That means your visit might look something like:

  • Day 1: Start at Universal Studios Florida, then jump to Universal Islands of Adventure to ride Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at night.
  • Day 2: Start at Universal Volcano Bay to soak up some sun, then jump to Universal Studios Florida to watch CineSational, with banana popcorn.
  • Day 3: Rest up to get ready for a full day at Epic Universe! Start at Voodoo Doughnut, enjoy a pool day and stop at Universal Helios Grand Hotel to see the rooftop bar with 360-degree views of Universal Epic Universe.
  • Day 4: Visit Universal Epic Universe!
  • Day 5: WHEW! Sleep in and recover from an epic day of portal hopping.
  • Day 6: Start at Universal Islands of Adventure, then take the Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios Florida to see the Gringotts Bank dragon breathe fire into the night (and get some Butterbeer ice cream!).
  • Day 7: Shopping day at CityWalk!

I'm purchasing a 2 day ticket for July 2025. On the bottom of the page it says:

*Please note, Universal Epic Universe may reach capacity on select days.

I just want to make sure since I've purchased my ticket but don't have to select which exact day I'm using it (there's a 5 day window), if Epic reaches capacity will I still be guaranteed entrance with my undercover tourist ticket? Thanks!

Hi Mag!

Undercover Tourist tickets operate the exact same as those you'd get from Universal Orlando, and Universal has stated that ticket inventory and capacity will be controlled to allow each guest who purchases an Epic-Universe inclusive ticket to visit the park for one day during the course of the validity window of their ticket. We'll continue to update with the latest details.

I have 2 days to spend at Universal in December. I'd like to spend both days at Epic Universe only. It looks like the maximum days for tickets is 1 day and also that option is just for Annual Passholders, which I am not. Am I understanding this correctly or would I be able to buy 2 days at Epic?

Hi Monica!

Currently, yes, the maximum number of days you can visit Epic Universe with a single ticket is 1 day. 1-Day tickets for the general public just went on sale last week — you can find 1-Day tickets through Undercover Tourist that are covered with our 365 day refund policy. For 2 days at Epic Universe, you would need to purchase two 1-Day tickets selected for the dates you wish to visit.

Hi Denise!

Early Park Admission won't be available on Epic's opening day, but it will be available for all Universal hotel guests, starting May 23, 2025 and beyond. We don't know Express details yet, but we'll be sure to update as soon as Universal announces more info.

This will be our first trip to Universal and, depending on how everyone likes it, we are considering upgrading to an Annual pass at the end of our ticket days. How will that work with multi day tix that include Epic? Will the value of the Epic ticket be included towards the value for upgrading to a 2 or 3 park pass? If you upgrade to AP prior to using your Epic day, would you lose your Epic day?

Thank you!

Hi Lee!

Since you are staying at Hard Rock Hotel from Aug. 17 to 20, 2025, we would suggest at the very least a 2-Day PLUS 1-Day Epic ticket (or if you want more time in the parks, a 3-Day PLUS 1-Day Epic ticket) to cover those days before you hop over to Disney. At this time, the Epic Universe multi-day tickets include only 1 day at Epic Universe, no matter which multi-day ticket you choose. You also have a choice between visiting one theme park per day (base), or park-to-park (which would only include park-to-park access at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, as well as Volcano Bay if you add it as a third park — but park-to-park access does not include Epic Universe).

If you want Park-to-Park access, click here. Be sure to look at the 3-Park ticket option if you want to add Volcano Bay.

If you want Base access (one theme park per day), click here. Be sure to look at the 3-Park ticket option if you want to add Volcano Bay.

Hope this helps, but feel free to reach out again if you have more questions.
