How many days do I need to see Epic Universe?

This is a great question! We are blown away by everything this brand-new park has to offer. If you'd like to do and see it all, we highly recommend utilizing Express Pass and Early Park Admission to maximize your day at Epic Universe. With these add-ons and benefits, you can ride all the attractions in one day. However, if you want to spend time exploring the sights, sounds and mouthwatering flavors of each world (or even get a monstrous makeover at the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience), we recommend adding on at least another half day.

How many days should I visit?

We recommend a week in Orlando, and at least a 4-Day Park-to-Park with Volcano Bay Ticket to explore all that Universal Orlando Resort has to offer. (Four parks! An entertainment district! Awesome hotels! There is so much to see and do.) Here are a few ways you could spend your time at Universal Orlando Resort!

Plan Your 2026 Trip to Universal Orlando Resort

With 3+ Day tickets allowing multi-day access to Epic Universe in 2026, you'll have even more flexibility to jump between all three theme parks — and even Volcano Bay, if you opt to add the water park!

Universal 5-Day (Park-to-Park) with Volcano Bay Ticket grants you 5 total days of park access to jump freely between Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Epic Universe and Universal Volcano Bay, with the park-to-park benefit. This ticket has an 8-day usage window. That means your visit might look something like:

  • Day 1: Start at the original park, Universal Studios Florida, before you jump over to Universal Islands of Adventure for the rest of the day.
  • Day 2: Explore Universal Epic Universe for an entire day from rope drop to park close. (Trust us, you'll want one uninterrupted day here!)
  • Day 3: Take it easy with a Universal Cinemark matinee and dinner in CityWalk.
  • Day 4: Rope drop Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Islands of Adventure. Then kick back and relax at Volcano Bay for the afternoon. Grab dinner and close out the night at Universal Studios Florida.
  • Day 5: It's time for the ultimate Harry Potter day! Visit Diagon Alley (Universal Studios Florida) to grab your school supplies, take the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade for Hogwarts lessons (Universal Islands of Adventure) and then travel by Muggle bus to Wizarding Paris (Universal Epic Universe) for a study abroad trip.
  • Day 6: Take a rest day at the hotel after your epic Wizarding World adventure.
  • Day 7: Missing any experiences? Hit up the parks for one final time, prioritizing any last must-dos, before you say goodbye.

How to Save on Epic Universe Tickets

Plus, bundle a Universal Orlando hotel stay with your theme park tickets to save even more on your vacation. Undercover Tourist is now offering a flexible deposit option, which means you can pay a refundable $200 deposit to lock in your Universal hotel stay, then pay the remainder 30 days prior to check-in. That includes Universal Orlando Resort’s newest three hotels, located near Epic Universe:

Hi Cynthya!

At this time, the only Florida Resident ticket options including Epic Universe are multi-day tickets that also include the other theme parks. There isn't an Annual Pass option or a 1-Day Epic Florida Resident ticket yet. But if you are an Annual Passholder, you can get 1-Day AP Epic tickets.

Hi Jennifer!

There is some overlap with general Wizarding World merchandise, such as Hogwarts house souvenirs, select character wands and sweet shops (chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott's Jelly Beans, etc.). However, there are some merch collections that can only be found in Epic Universe, such as the Fantastic Beasts plushes, 1920s inspired Hogwarts robes, Cosme Acajor wands, Ministry/Auror merch and Le Cirque Arcanus merch.

Hello! I am currently looking to plan a trip to universal for my family of 5 in November. I have a 16, 14, and an 11 year old. Very excited to see epic and would like to spend 2 days there and 2 days at IOA and Universal. Can you suggest an onsite hotel and also a ticket package? Maybe a sample itinerary of what we could do? Kids are wanting to see it all at Epic. Thank you so much!

FrogBlog Says...

Hi BellHopper!

Currently, there isn't a multi-day Epic Universe ticket option or vacation package available through Undercover Tourist at this time. If you wish to visit Epic Universe in two days, you will need to purchase two tickets per person.

The first option is purchasing two (2) Universal 1-Park 1-Day (Base) PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Tickets, per person. However, if you want Park-to-Park access (which allows you to ride the Hogwarts Express and hop between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure — a Base ticket does not allow this), then you would need two (2) Universal 2-Park 1-Day (Park-to-Park) PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Tickets, per person. Double check that the tickets stay valid throughout your entire travel window (you may want to choose different start dates to ensure this).

The second option is purchasing one (1) Universal 2-Park 2-Day (Base) PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket, per person (or that same ticket with Park-to-Park access). And then you would have to purchase a 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket, per person, which is only available through Universal directly.

Since you'd be evenly splitting your time between locations (two days at Epic, two days at Universal Studios and Islands), we would suggest staying at Universal Stella Nova Resort or Universal Terra Luna Resort (if sticking to a budget) or Universal Helios Grand Hotel (which has a dedicated theme park entrance into Epic Universe), saving you transportation time, so you can maximize your time in Epic.

I am planning on visiting in December. I'm not ready to buy tickets yet but I don't want to wait too long and have them sell out. Is there a way to see if any dates are close to selling out? Like Disney's park reservation system shows yellow if almost sold out, etc. Thank you!

FrogBlog Says...

Hi Jim!

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to view if a date has lower ticket inventory, so our best advice is to purchase as soon as you're able to. Right now, the furthest sold-out dates are through mid-June for 1-Day tickets directly through Universal. Other ticket options have more availability in May and June, depending on the ticket. December is still quite some time away so you have some time. But keep checking on a regular basis, as December can be busy (particularly in the second half of the month, so those dates will go more quickly than the first half, as it gets closer).

The preview tickets for hotel guests aren't sold online. You have to purchase directly from Universal in person at the Universal Vacation Planning Center in the hotel lobby, subject to availability. If you book your hotel stay through Undercover Tourist, you still have the ability to purchase preview tickets in person, the exact same way. We have more info about Epic previews in this post here.

Hi Mag!

Undercover Tourist tickets operate the exact same as those you'd get from Universal Orlando, and Universal has stated that ticket inventory and capacity will be controlled to allow each guest who purchases an Epic-Universe inclusive ticket to visit the park for one day during the course of the validity window of their ticket. We'll continue to update with the latest details.

Currently, yes, the maximum number of days you can visit Epic Universe with a single ticket is 1 day. 1-Day tickets for the general public just went on sale last week — you can find 1-Day tickets through Undercover Tourist that are covered with our 365 day refund policy. For 2 days at Epic Universe, you would need to purchase two 1-Day tickets selected for the dates you wish to visit.

This will be our first trip to Universal and, depending on how everyone likes it, we are considering upgrading to an Annual pass at the end of our ticket days. How will that work with multi day tix that include Epic? Will the value of the Epic ticket be included towards the value for upgrading to a 2 or 3 park pass? Hi Lee!

Since you are staying at Hard Rock Hotel from Aug. 17 to 20, 2025, we would suggest at the very least a 2-Day PLUS 1-Day Epic ticket (or if you want more time in the parks, a 3-Day PLUS 1-Day Epic ticket) to cover those days before you hop over to Disney. At this time, the Epic Universe multi-day tickets include only 1 day at Epic Universe, no matter which multi-day ticket you choose. You also have a choice between visiting one theme park per day (base), or park-to-park (which would only include park-to-park access at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, as well as Volcano Bay if you add it as a third park — but park-to-park access does not include Epic Universe).

If you want Park-to-Park access, click here. Be sure to look at the 3-Park ticket option if you want to add Volcano Bay.

If you want Base access (one theme park per day), click here. Be sure to look at the 3-Park ticket option if you want to add Volcano Bay.

Hope this helps, but feel free to reach out again if you have more questions.
