We've put together this list of Walt Disney World (plus Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando and Legoland Florida) closings and refurbishments. Refurbishments are temporary closures and can be subject to change without notice. Permanent closures are rides that are no longer active in the parks, and seasonal ones are those that take place annually.
Walt Disney World® Resort Refurbishments
Here is a list of all temporary Disney World closings. It is not uncommon for Disney to change refurbishment times — to move up or postpone temporary closures — so check back as your trip gets closer! We update this post every week to reflect any changes.

These are the temporary Walt Disney World Resort Hotel closings, such as pools, shops, restaurants or any other type of rehab the hotels are undergoing. Always be sure to check this list as your trip gets closer!
Disney Skyliner

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- The Fantasia Pool will be unavailable from January 2025 through April 2025. The Duck Pond Pool will remain open during this time.
- From July 1 through mid-October, some areas of the World Premiere Food Court will be closed for refurbishment — including the coffee bar and lounge. However, the kitchen will remain open. Limited seating will be available throughout the dining room and beverage stations will be accessible. During this time, it's recommended that guests use the My Disney Experience app to purchase food and drinks for pickup.
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- From July through September 2024, Sport Goofy Gifts and Sundries will undergo refurbishment work. The store will remain partially open.
- From January 2026 until late April 2026, the Surfboard Bay Pool and the kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will be closed for maintenance. During this time, the Grand Slam Leisure Pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports will continue to be available. Additionally, Guests are welcome to use the other pools throughout Disney’s All-Star Resorts.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
- Room refurbishment work will take place at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort from September 2024 to September 2025.
- Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will undergo routine maintenance from January 2025 to June 2025.
- Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will undergo routine maintenance from January 2025 to June 2025.
- In September 2024, the Screen Door General Store, Disney’s Character Carnival and Thimbles & Threads at Disney’s BoardWalk will each undergo refurbishment. While one store is closed for construction, you are welcome to shop at and enjoy the other two stores.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
- Beginning July 13, 2024, horseback riding will be temporarily unavailable Monday through Friday at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, due to construction. However, rides may be available on Saturdays and Sundays during this time. Check the My Disney Experience app on Friday of each week to see if horseback riding is happening on the following Saturday and Sunday—and if available, reserve a ride.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently undergoing refurbishment. Guests will be able to see and hear construction around the resort – including the lobby – during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available. Please allow for extra travel time.
- Disney's Grand Floridian Convention Center will be unavailable from summer 2025 to fall 2025.
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently undergoing refurbishment. Guests will be able to see and hear construction around the resort – including the lobby – during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available. Please allow for extra travel time.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Now through 2026, work will take place to paint the exterior of buildings on property, with guest balconies affected. Also due to the expansion, guests may see and hear construction during certain times of the day, no earlier than 9 a.m.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Now through 2026, work will take place to paint the exterior of buildings on property, with guest balconies affected. Also due to the expansion, guests may see and hear construction during certain times of the day, no earlier than 9 a.m.
- From July 29, 2024, to the end of November, the Everything POP Food Court will be under refurbishment. Please use mobile order in the My Disney Experience app to order food and drinks. Prepare to use alternate entrances, and dining room seating may be limited.
- Beginning Sept. 30, the Everything POP Merchandise Shop will undergo refurbishment. The work will occur in two phases, and part of the store will remain open. The store is expected to fully reopen in mid-December 2024.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- From May 2024 through November 2024, some guest rooms will be under refurbishment. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. Most hotel amenities will remain available.

The Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- From April through December 2024, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo exterior refurbishment work. During this time, guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.
- Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will undergo routine maintenance from January 2025 to June 2025.
