Frog Family Tips and Fun Facts about Avatar Flight of Passage
Frog Family Tips
- If you're staying on-site at a Disney hotel, consider going to Early Theme Park Entry at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park to ride first thing.
- Avoid this ride if you have extreme claustrophobia. The restraint system is snug, often leaving claustrophobic guests panicking.
- Use the pathway at Harambe Bridge to enter Pandora closer to Avatar Flight of Passage (and to avoid the main crowded entrance).
Fun Facts
- Avatar Flight of Passage officially opened April 27, 2017.
- Feel your banshee breathing? That's because Disney Imagineers installed elements such as air bags to simulate the banshee's breathing!
- The technology used in this ride is very similar to EPCOT®'s Soarin' Around the World.
- Check out the three red handprints on the right side of the cemented hallway you enter after you ride. These belong to the creative minds behind the creation of Pandora - James Cameron (writer/director of "Avatar"), John Landau (producer of "Avatar") and Joe Rhode (executive designer/vice president of creative at Walt Disney Imagineering).
