Fly with some of your favorite Star Wars characters! C-3PO is aboard as your new pilot. Plus, you might encounter some of your other favorite characters, including: R2-D2, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Jedi Master Yoda, Admiral Ackbar, Princess Leia and Chewbacca.
Due to the large capacity of Star Tours, this attraction loads fairly quickly keeping wait times very manageable throughout the day. Longer wait times can be expected after guests exit Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! as they often head directly to this attraction.
Leap and Tad love the new Star Tours attraction, but it makes Mommy Frog extremely queasy.
Star Tours is flight-motion simulator ride located in the Backlot of the Echo Lake area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The duration of the attraction is about 7 minutes. Star Tours uses state-of-the-art technology – including a flight-motion simulator vehicle, digital 3D video, Audio Animatronics characters and in-cockpit special effects.
Each seat in the ride vehicle has a pull-down lap bar. Guests must transfer from motorized scooter or ECV to an available wheelchair, then from the wheelchair to the attraction/ride vehicle.

This attraction originally opened on December 15, 1989. This attraction serves as the centerpiece of Star Wars Weekends, an event that takes place over five consecutive weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios and allows Guests to get face-to-face with heroes, villains and celebrities from the film saga.
Take some time to explore the outdoor movie sets depicting the forest moon of Endor - complete with an Ewok treetop village and the monstrous AT-AT vehicle - outside the attraction.
It received a major makeover in 2011 and is a fantastic addition!
Star Tours pays homage to the director of Star Wars (1977); referencing his film THX-1138 and a Mr. Egroeg Sacul—George Lucas spelled backwards.
